Wonderful to see the Greatt Plácido Domingo start yet a third career now as a Baritone. He was of course one of the two greatest tenors of the 20th Century, then as Conductor and Artistic Director and now Rigoletto, Simón Bocanegra and other Baritone roles. ¡What an amazing, enduring and talented artist!

I was not sure if it was Domingos voice first. I must say he is doing a splendid job here. With good health he can sing bariton fore some years.....Bravo Maestro.
im surprised as well....just saw a clip from Buenos Aires wher it was pathetic. now here he´s not that bad. but of course still under the level

Perdonen, sabe alguno de los usuarios que han subido este concierto, qué ocurrió con el dueto que canta Domingo junto a Tola, "Tonight", de West-Side Story? Un día de repente desapareció de toda cuenta del usuario quien lo tenía. Si alguien lo conservase, podría subirlo de nuevo?

Non mi aspettavo certo chissà cosa da Domingo, fuori ruolo e inespressivo. Ma anche la Tola non è da meno!!
What a shame that Domingo, who was a great tenor and conductor, was unable to leave the stage appropriately instead of reverting to baritone roles for which he was completely wrong. His timbre does not support the baritone roles he took on and he essentially made very little impact in any of these roles which he should never have been singing.
The only who is wrong are you! Do you mean you are so exceptional you are the only who hears and recognises that Domingo as a bariton is "completely wrong"? All other who go to his concerts and enjoy and love it are dements?
Um, why should he leave the stage “appropriately?” Who determines that? There are fans out there who wants to hear him but oh it’s up to you to say: this is when you should leave!
If you want him to leave it’s very simple: find a much better baritone than him.

@Addiobelpassato Yeah the end of culture is not... white bread pop trash, corporate shilling of young girls as sex objects or the end of classical music... It is a distinguished artist singing something out of his fach at the end of his long career. MANY MANY tenors have done the same, ending their careers is lower rep. Give it a rest....
The thing is, nobody is immortal and hence on the top forever. And in Maesto Domingo's case, this is more than obvious already. He is NOT a bartone, he is of age and somebody HAS to tell him to stop making a ridicule of himself in public. Just immagine Kabaivanska going z mezzo at present...If you are old to be what you were, then you ARE. Accept it and live the rest of your life / may it be long / in peace and honour.

Che tristezza sentire questo video!!!!! Molto peggio delle interpretazioni di Cappuccilli, Milnes e Nucci i quali da baritoni camuffati avevano un'estensione superiore a quella di Domingo!!!!
Per lo meno Nucci ci metteva l'anima, Domingo fa spavento sotto tutti gli aspetti. Canta senza vivere le emozioni dell'aria. Ti vien voglia di tirargli un pomodoro marcio.

Domingo ha fatto la sua epoca ed ora che si dedichi ad altro. Con la carriera brillante che ha avuto esibizioni del genere poteva risparmiarsele.
He doesn't have the voice, he doesn't sing the written notes and barely holds his breath to do the entire phrase, and he only stopped singing because of sexual missconduct allegations. In italian that's called 'Testa di tenore'.

Decidiamo prima se Domingo è baritono o Tenore. In ogni caso qui è fuori ruolo. Pessima esibizione

Désolé Mr Domingo mais vous êtes très mauvais dans le rôle de Rigoletto. Vous avez oublié Cappuccilli et tous les autres grands barytons avec qui vous avez chanté. Il ne faut pas venir vous plaindre après quand les jeunes chanteurs font n'importe quoi si vous les vieux ne respectent rien !!!
