Reflections is the more reality/dramatic version absent of comedic elements. While in the og and the remake Kaoru's stained scarf was made for laughs, in this one her scarf was his fighting accessory and a makeshift bandage signifying Kaoru's involvement in his feelings while fighting Jin-e.
I can't help but correct you on an age old comment because of how badly mistaken you are. This was not a pointless fight, it was an important character development fight, this was not only a fight against Jin-e but also one against himself, the Battousai.
And they recreated this the wors way possible. They've converted 2 episodes and half from the anime (near 45 minutes) into 4 in this video, not including several details. Not to mention that Jin'e doesn't looks this way, he's even more close to Gambit that he used to be.
Sondo honesto, prefiro a versão do anime própriamente dito a esta. Comparando, esta não chega aos pés da versão original. Na primeira versão se sente muito mais todas as emoções envolvidas no conflito, desde o desespero da Kaoru, até a ira do Kenshin e a maldade pura do Jinei. Esta por outro lado parece que fizeram o mais rápido possível pra que acontece-se e passa pra outra. Por não falar que a trilha sonora desta versão deixa muito a desejar. Enfim, pra mim, a original é dez e esta e zero.
