I am glad I didn’t have to foot the bill for that cart tire. Thanks for the video.👌🚜
Loving the seeding videos mike thanks for sharing 👍 🇬🇧
My favourite videos are these when your working the hills.
What a red beast, easy on climbing those steeper hills.
Sure is awesome having 3 weekly uploads back again. 👍👍💯
You got between 1-2 inches of rain. Nice start to the season.
Keep on kickin Mike, love your videos. Hope the family is well & the season gets plenty of rain.
Mike keeping it real with the FENDT cup in the cupholder :P
Love getting to see big equipment pushing up towards its limits
I have to say that tractor handled the big hill quite nicely. Love the case tractors. A case 715 quad would eat that hill up. But the tires still did pretty well. Nice.
Mike, If you are doing the inside of your field first then your headlands, why don't you use headland control in the Gen5 display. You mentioned in an earlier video you started using true boundaries this year, if that is the case, you can create a headland on the display and use headland control to turn off the seeder with section control a specific distance away from the exterior boundary. If its laid out the same as a 4640, you create the headland in the fields option, then enable headland control in the section control menu option. I did this last year and it worked great. Something changed this year and it was shutting off and turning on to early, so I just make a slightly smaller headland in the display (110' instead of 120') and that fixed it.
Good point. But as far as I understand it he doesnt run the section control over the G5plus display. He has the Topcon display which runs the cart and the section contol. He could probably trow that out and replace it with an extended monitor on which he could run the cart and use the JD section control Like you explained. However I guess he is so used to running the Topcon or has another thought trough reason for why he won't switch it out.
Those hills have a nice slope thou. Could be worse when you only see sky as you go up.
A 580 with 660hp, nice 👌🏻
Yeah those Borgaults will give anything a workout.
Love the planting videos. Keep them coming.
Good morning. It is May 7th. Hope you got a good rain over the last couple of days. A good video. Really enjoy your videos and the content.
Thanks for sharing
Hope you guys got that rain we just got in Alberta this week
That washouts going to get bigger when all this May rain gets there!
Hey Mike, did you notice if the rotational speed of this big ball we are on floating thru space speed up a tad when the tractor was crawling up the hill--:)
Nice Fendt you have there, the cup.
It looks like you got some rain up your way the last few days. I've went through a drought in 2012 that I never got one drop of rain. But just one year
You going to try the new quadtrac johndeere 830 hp load weight so whole unit will weight in at 80,000 lbs. To pull those hills with a full cart.❤
He’s got a 715 he already ordered ;)
@@SirHuddy that’s nothing compared to the 830
Mike you need to farm in Southern Manitoba. Flat as a board, no washout and most farms have a track tractor of some kind.
And it floods there every spring.
Its great to see your sloughs free of cat tails and weeds. A big benefit is that the rodent / wildlife population no longer has a place to hide and has to go somewhere else to find shelter.
That means fewer holes / spoilage in your bags !!
love these working videos
Sounds a little louder in the cab than the Fendt.
You need a guy to fill in water runs. I usually seed mine out then seed through them.
Let me see the shed!!!
So impressive seeing equipment that big doing work.
Have you ever looked into a versatile tractor? You then could run everything through the jd monitor.
You should use a big bud
Great video!👍
Maybe put some drainage pipes in the washouts and cover them up ? The water has got to go somewhere
Seems like it pulled mighty good
It's hard to convey pitch in videos. In mine we are farming The Palouse hills and it hardly looks like much.
Those Bourgaults are too heavy on maintanance. You must use SEED MASTER.
Hello Mike good 🌾👋👋👋🤝🇮🇹
The drills we use in the big hills are not as wide as you flatlanders use.
Bonjour Mike magnifique vidéo tu préfères les roues ou chenille 😂😮😅😊
full power over 100 liter of fuel per hour damn
Very nice video. I'm watching you from Türkiye. You were using FENDT before, I'm wondering why you gave up on it and preferred Case? I think the Vario transmission is much better than the mechanical one.
A good wash like that in a 3 year drought has got to be a little extra amusing/annoying
Also new land to me, so it came as a surprise
Considered seeding the waterways to keep from washing out ?
36gph up hill…. And 10-15 downhill. Big difference
The 620 only goes to 34 GPM so he really juiced it up..
What’s the obsession with good year tyres in America and Canada? Over here in Europe the goodyears are considered a poor budget tyre compared to vredstein bridgestone Michelin and trelleborg.
Here's to planting dollar bills and hopefully harvesting $5's 🍻🙏
Did. You get rain. ??
turn your diff locks on
How much rain did you end up getting so far....we got 26 drops
Mike I have to ask when your seeding why you turn around so hard and why you wouldn’t skip a row for a couple of runs and then fill in the skipped rows as you go along. Less stress on the gear. That’s what we do here in Australia anyway. Just curious as to why you do turn the way you do. Cheers and love the videos
I'm curious too!
Can you work around the headland auto-shutoff/guidance issue by making a fake property line where the headland starts? Treat the headland as a separate parcel of land in the mapping program.
If the headland is getting packed during seeding just don't plow it until after seeding the main field; Although I can see this may not be practical if the plow needs to be moved 30 miles just to do the headland but thats a bit of business math and I don't know neerly enough details of that specific operation to do the actual calculation.
Hopefully you were able to slap a patch on the inside of that seed/fert cart that the deer antler stabbbed.
seed/fert cart TIRE
That’ll maker her snort with a full cart and a soft field! Looked like it handled it pretty well
How is the seat compared to the others?
How are you liking the case IH by now ??
Hey mike have you seen those rock crushers they mount on a 3 point and run through a field?
Get the new 830 deere please 🙏
Hey Mike, I was wondering if you did any hunting up there since it pretty good for it hence the deer shed.
Up..Up..And awayy"
A Xerion for a test would be nice
Just get the 830 already.
🤮
Mike you better get to try out the new 9rx big dog.
U mean the new 715
love your videos. Did you turn up the pump for a little more HP?
How many acres in this field.?? Long rounds
Noisey cab mike or it sounds noises through the phone
Why don't u use headland control ?
MAY 8 😮
It's normal for seeding and harvest videos to go 2-3weeks behind. Infact, it's the only way I can maintain uploads.
Do you use Agra gps to bridge into your jd gps
Yes
Would it make sense to have smaller equipment for some of those bad spots instead of tearing up the bigger and probably more expensive to repair equipment. My dad drove a semi for 51 years once he went across a scale and the officer wanted to give him a ticket for being 300 pounds over so my dad went in and got the guy and took him out to the truck and showed him the extra tools he carried and said now do you want me seating a long the road and waiting for someone to come and make repairs or I can do it and be out of the way he didn’t get the ticket ✌🏻👍🇺🇸
Is the case or John deere louder in the cab?
Weird question Mike. Do you have family members in that cemetery & how old is it.
👍
What is the slip ?
Hey Mike , the new 830 would be a nice fit for that drill!!
Be a nice fit for Omni...
Hey Mike which GPS is better John Deere or Caseih??
John Deere in my opinion
Does wheels pull easier than tracks ?
Yes the drive train is simpler and has less of a parasitic effect with tires.
👋😊
Mike tune it to make it a 620
It is tuned to 680
@@cosmincreta no it’s a 580
@@Blakebrash it is a 580 model but Mike said in the pervious videos that he tuned both of his 580 to around 680hp
Is the 715 quad still coming???
Cancelled. Waiting for the new 780.
@@TheMRSTEVENoh? Where did he talk about that?
Tripling with 800 lsw or 1100lsw duals would have helped alot more for slip.. if your slipping to much you don't have enough tires or treat to the ground.. alot are doing 800lsw triples now
Lsw's have no traction its designed to float causing less compaction which in turn equals less traction
He needs more pressure per square inch of ground contact. Triples or bigger tires spread the weight out.
How many acres do you farm?
So Mike, do you wish the tractor had 900's over the 800s? Im guessing you bumped the HP to around 680?
Would tuning the engine void the warranty? I believe it's a brand new tractor.
Mike a question. Since you turned up the power on the tractor, does it still have the power boost?
Very good question I wonder the same thing.?
But it must have cause it got up to 105% power
I think it's now an upgrade from a Case 580 to Case 620, the 620 is rated 628 hp with boost to 682 hp - 685 hp.
There are chip-tuners who can add 40 hp to the boost of a Case 620 ( up to 720-725 hp ), ...... well P-Tronic says they can boost up to 844 hp but that's [ BS ] I think.
Ya I think the same BUT the 620 only goes to 34 gallons per hour deasel and this was near 36 GPH so I don't really know..
@@alaxparthur3734
I think that number is quite good, he's pulling a 84' Bourgault with full 71300 cart = 190,000 lbs ( around 84 metric tonnes ), well without the mid row banders, otherwise it will be a "bit" more I'll guess.
I saw a demo of the JD 9RX830 just pulling a disc which hit the 43 gph !!!!!
I'm not sure how Case test the 620 with 34 gph, does it pull a similar weight ??
A pretty noisy FPT Tractor.
You need the new John Deere quad track, would t be any down shifting with it
Hard to hear over the tractor
hopefully if rains so you don't have to draw crop insurance again. Maybe you can afford some high quality Deere equipment next year, with auto steer that works properly and has a sound system that sounds like it should in a 500k piece of equipment
500k lol a new 4WD is over 1.2M in Canada…
@SirHuddy yeah that's 500k in the states. Deere pretty good about cheap short term lease if you'll take like a dozen tractors
Oi 👍👍👍👍👍
Really need more weight on the tractor. Why does a Borg pull so hard? They are making those 800hp beasts largely for these style seeders.
I think he needs to get in contact and try the new big bud
You mean the new big bud that doesn’t even exist? It would be an enormous waste of money
Pull its gutts out
Mike i have a question: u like it or not?
jea me too i ha a lot of qestions about that case
You don't know what hills are buddy, come to Ontario.
And you aren’t pulling that drill and cart on those hills either lol
@@SirHuddy You are right sir, but if we get 60 bushels of wheat to the acre, we consider it a complete failure.
why don't u play corn
Nowhere near enough moisture for that
Canada is probably too far north.
why would they?
Not enough growing season for corn. Not enough moisture for corn.
@@GreatLakesLoggerwait till his current videos are released… they’ve been getting rain for the past 3 days. They have gotten 6 months of rain in 72 hours.
No offense, but in the tractor, you've very hard to understand.
Its horrible
That red tractor is pulling up those hills significantly better than the Deeres did in prior videos, even the ones with tracks.
It sure seem's doesn't it.?
Tracks sap a lot of power, giving you less at the ground, and John Deere lie about power. Take 100 off the Deere claim/sticker and you will be closer to the truth :D
The older series of deere before emissions just like cat was great!!!
How many acres do you farm?
All of them
Do you notice erosion when you don't seed parallel to the hills?
wow case engine managment systems are a little out of date but hey, atleast it pulls hard
