@I'm Awesome why do I see you every comment section?
@I'm Awesome No Lmfao, that’s completely incorrect, that truth is: The MCU is the most overrated franchise of all time, they only got wings after hey introduced Thanos (A copy of Darkseid) The MCU could never create an actual good movie with a good story line, the only reason it gets popular is because of 13 year olds like yourself who try to make as many memes from a 30 second scene, and then try to cyber bully someone who says that the memes are cringe, [Which they are]
It’s their destiny to loose in Live Action? Lmfao just I remind you that not a single Marvel Movie has ever came close to surpassing The Dark Knight in any category out there? That’s right, keep crying. And moving on: DC already curbstomps them in Video Games, Comics, Tv Shows, and Animation...
But I guess you’re too salty to accept that aren’t you? Thanos isn’t more evil lol, he’s just a tiny Simp, who killed people to impress a girl that doesn’t give two damns about him, and for the record, Thanos’s parents are weak. While Darkseid’s father “Yugha Khan” is more powerful than him...
Did Thanos kill half the Universe? I think you mean *The Gauntlet* killed half the Universe, because pretty much anyone with the Gauntlet can do that, Thanny is pretty much nothing without his Yellow Glove.
Oh wait wait, must I remind you that Darkseid got that Glove one time 😂 And threw it away because it was no use to him.

Thanos quickly met the pushback from the Avengers at Earth, and it was likely opposition that he had never faced before. The Mad Titan was probably baffled that humans, some of the weakest beings in the universe, were the ones with the strongest resolve. That strongly annoyed Thanos, and although none of his slaughtering was ever personal, his annoyance with the Avengers and their allies meant that he would at least enjoy the task.
Thanos the Mad Titan emerges as one of the most memorable movie characters against all odds in recent memory, largely thanks to the surprisingly sympathetic performance of Josh Brolin. Thanos is a classic example of a villain sees himself as the hero.
Darkseid is literally a character template at this point. He’s definitely a more important character in our culture. Hell he even inspired the creation of Thanos.

The version of Thanos found in the Marvel Cinematic Universe is one of very few superhero movie villains to earn a truly infamous and iconic reputation for their on-screen performances. His powers and motives saw him present him as both a intergalactic tyrant and a philosophical warrior, which resulted in a true range of interactions with his allies and enemies, each of which tended to contain at least one line that perfectly defined the character, and proved him more and more fascinating.

The Marvel Cinematic Universe version of Thanos has been regarded as one of the best villains of the 2010s and the 21st century so far. Multiple critics praised the performance of Josh Brolin, both vocally and for the emotions he conveyed through the motion capture. The performance allowed the audience to empathize with Thanos, while allowing them to believe his pain.
Jack Kirby created Darkseid, Jim Starlin has admitted that Thanos was “inspired” by Darkseid. In fact he was going to swipe Metron until his editor essentially said, “If you’re going to swipe from the New Gods, swipe Darkseid.” I hate how their movie interpretations are poisoning their legacy.

There is no more powerful villain in the Marvel Cinematic Universe than Thanos, a true monster without a conscience.
Josh Brolin was able to perfectly convey the mad genius of Thanos and he was intimidating enough to stand against some of the strongest characters on the Marvel Cinematic Universe. @impishDCfan85 85 You are missing the entire point here and it really shows you know nothing about movies. Power doesn't make a good villain. Good writing, complex motives and an intriguing character do. The joker of ledger and hans landa in inglorious bastards were mere men but where far far far better villains than the op villains of superhero movies. The fact that without the stones Darkseid is far stronger doesn't mean he is a better villain. Thanos is a complex character that doesn't do the stereotypical classic villain thing of hating the heroes and wants to kill them. To him he is a hero. He is saving the world. He has love in him for his daughter, he has a different look on the universe. He feels genuine respect for our heroes and has sympathy for their loses. He didnt even want to kill them as that wasn't his goal. He just wanted to make the universe filled with not starving life. His end gole was for life to thrive, and the fact that he then retired and destroyed the stones shows that he didnt even want to rule any of that life. He just did his job, taught them a lesson the hard way and then let them to live ( in his mind ) happy lives. Darkseid has nothing intimidating about him other than powers. Someone like Darkseid who wants to kill you because he just has a big ego and is evil is always less intimidating than Thanos who doesn't even have a grudge against you and only wants to achieve a higher goal that is beyond your understanding. Movie critics have said that Thanos is almost a perfectly written villain and trust me they know better than you. I hope they make Darkseid a good villain. Big, dump, " I want to kill you all because I have an ego problem " kind of villains can still be good if they are written properly. And I hope they do that. But the foundations have been set for a Darkseid that has a far simpler character than Thanos. He doesn't know love, he doesn't have complex motives, he isn't the hero of his story, he doesn't have human attributes like sympathy nor can he put his ego aside like Thanos did in the end and not try to rule over all remaining life.
There is literally nothing to argue here. Thanos is a more complex and better written villain than Darkseid. Unless of course dc pulls a miracle with him in the next movie which with the foundations they have set, I find it very unlikely. I still hope they make him a good villain because thats more entertainment.
Also why does someone have to be a marvel fan because he likes Thanos? Most dc fans loved Thanos. You can appreciate a good movie without being a fanboy. You just saying he isn't well written means nothing especially when you have no arguments to back it up. So many talented people in the film industry who have decades of experience said he is among the best written villains. Your opinion, I am sorry, isn't as strong as theirs. Especially when you don't back it up.
@impishDCfan85 85 As I said you have no idea about movies man. There is nothing to argue about. Ledger's joker doesn't have to be like the comics or video games. It only needs to be a good villain. Who said that movie villains have to be very similar to their comic counterparts? It makes no sense. Batman is literally the only developed character in the dc universe with superman and wonderwoman being somewhat developed. The flash was an annoying kiddo, aquaman has literally no purpose of existence and a forgettable villain with the actor being the only kind of saving factor. Steppenwolf was ok and Darkseid looks ok too. Thats about it. Stark, rogers, thor, banner,Wanda,Thanos, gamora, all had much more complex and well built characters. Most dc fans will tell you that the mcu has been executed far better so far. You just tried to contradict my huge arguments by calling Thanos b grade Hitler. Like wtf. Hitler had a big ego, and a much more flawed logic. He thought he had a team so to speak, a race that was superior. Thanos didnt even believe in anyone's superiority as he took them out by chance equally. He didnt even see himself above others. This guy with a few tweaks could literally be a monk. 95% plus of movie critics, actors and fans that know what they are saying will tell you that the mcu and Thanos were very very well executed.
Your opinion simply has no backing. And saying "keep trying" to make you look cooler from your basement makes no difference. I am not even trying to convince you about it because there is nothing to be convinced about. Every single monkey with a brain capable of processing 2+2 can understand that Thanos is well written. There is nothing more to say, you just can't enjoy a good movie and give it credit. Darkseid's characyer can be summed up in a sentence.
There is no point arguing with people like you. The average viewer will see what I am saying. Have a great day.

Exactly. The mere fact that thanos is directly influenced by Darkseid makes Darkseid a greater influence.
Ikr. Darkseid has been make adaptation debut in Superman Animated 1996 and live action debut (although not full appearance) in Smallville Season 10. We've already seen Darkseid in many media since then.
Meanwhile Thanos rarely appeared even in animated. But because MCU, he got huge popularity.
Dude.... DC and Marvel ripped off almost every character the other made for decades. Popular and unpopular alike.
While many of best villains in science fiction have been around for decades, Thanos became an instant legend in phase one of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. It was always enjoyable to watch a villain who thinks he is doing the right thing, and actor Josh Brolin brilliantly brings him to life, delivering iconic quotes left and right. Set up in the Avengers, the anticipation for the Mad Titan to arrive built excitement for years, making the victory of Thanos in Avengers: Infinity War so powerful.
A running theme of the Infinity Saga with Thanos was the concept of destiny, and how he considered destroying half the Marvel Cinematic Universe in the decimation as part of his destiny. Leading an army and committing genocide was all inevitable to him.

Thanos the Mad Titan was a cosmic conqueror of god-tier strength and a level of intimidation the likes of which readers had hardly seen in Marvel Comics lore before, and the image of him simply standing over Iron Man in his debut panel translated that perfectly.
Thanos was a rare case of someone purposely sacrificing his only loved one to further his own means. Thanos carried more weight than any other Marvel Cinematic Universe villain thus far and was the terrifying enemy for the Avengers to overcome in Infinity War and Endgame.
"I will STRIDE across their BONES and BASK in the glow of anti life... and ALL OF EXISTENCE... SHALL... BE... MINE"
Allow me to summarize.
Darkseid was the inspiration for Thanos's creation.
Thanos needs the infinity gauntlet to be a god, but Darkseid already is one without a superpowered artifact he could lose.
Superman would crush Thanos but Darkseid has bested him numerous times.
Long story short, Darkseid wins.
If you need any more confirmation check out the Death Battle on these 2, it's really quite a show.
You dont need op powers to make a good villain man. The fact Darkseid would win in a fight doesnt mean he will be a better villain cause some of the best villains in movie history were simple men less powerful than those they fought. Thanos is the better villain period. His movie adaptation is masterful. I am not saying he is stronger than darkseid but a good villain doesnt need to be op. Thanos had a complex character, emotions, sympathy and empathy, undestanding, a warped understanding of reality and the universe and a complex motive and determination. He was a character as complex as stark and thor and was capable of feeling sorry for the avengers and their loss. Darkseid is your normal everyday villain who has no motive or complex character other than his ego and wants to enslave and kill everyone. That is simplistic and making him op as he is in the comics wont resolve the fact that his character will be underdeveloped and lacking the depth thanos has. Is Darkseid more powerful than Thanos? Probably. Is he gonna be a better written villain with an awesome character build? Absolutely not, i believe. And i like dc and marvel equally so i am not biased towards any of them. Thanos' character was written perfectly and was not your everyday villain who just wants to kill everyone but had actual motives behind his actions that had depth and he actually believed he was the nessecary evil who was destined to do good and save the universe. He even was compassionate enough to save gamora and had 2 daughters. He didnt raise them well sure but he knew and had love in him. Darkseid lacks that depth. He is just a dump strong guy who wants to kill everyone basically and only thing special about him is his powers. Powers dont make good villains. People need to understand that instead of saying darkseid is a better villain just cause he would win the fistfight.
Superman would crush Thanos??? 😂 Kid you don't know sh*t about the mad titan.

That would be hilarious, especially given his history of a love triangle with Mistress Death and Thanos. I can’t imagine how Thanos would feel if it was thanks to Deadpool that he won though.
How the hell is killing a bunch of lizards because he was encouraged by the avatar of death a better backstory than a mere mortal tricking the gods themselves to fight so he can administer the killing blows to gain their powers?
That’s what I thought was very bias
They go with popular opinions a lot
I find Darkseid's tyranny and family affairs more interesting than Thanos's
It's a little bit more complicated than that
I've read both comics and I was more invested in Thanos' story.
Darksied kinda feels like a tyrant 'just because' and Thanos did that stuff out of his twisted curiosity, it was later revealed that he had an interest in murder and research even without the death lady.
@@KB-om3xv I still say tricking god's into killing themselves in order to steal their power because you want to rule the multiverse is a million times better backstory than killing lizards because you have a hard on for a goth chick.
Thanos: takes an axe straight into his chest with the power of Thor the thunder god imbued into it. Completes his goal after toughing it out
Darkseid: takes an Axe to the shoulder from Ares god of war. Retreats and forgets about the anti life equations existence on earth afterwords.

In the definitive Marvel/DC crossover event, as Darkseid and Thanos were essentially ordered by two cosmic gods to battle each other in a tournament that would decide the fate of both universes. When Thanos sees Darkseid, he refers to him as the Lord of Destruction, immediately acknowledging the vast power of Darkseid, and promptly showing him the respect he has due.
Thanos may not see himself as a villain, but he delighted in his murderous crusade. After the fall of Titan, he vowed to kill half of the population of every planet so that they would not experience the same resource shortages. Thanos showed a more sadistic side when in battle, a side that actually liked felling enemies.
His views became more twisted in Avengers: Endgame. Instead of saving lives like he previously intended, he planned to destroy all life and replace it with life that would show him gratitude. He even stated that his slaughter was never personal until he enjoys killing the people of Earth.
Comeon! Why do you guys always have something like pop culture influence. Who is more popular doesnt make him a better character!
Darkseid is a legend. Thanos wouldnt have even existed without Darkseid. Marvel just copied Darkseid to create Thanos and Apocalypse.
