Kang is definitely a strong opponent but if people would just be honest instead of trying to be fake hardcore fans theyd obviously admit there was nothing chilling about the reveal of kang or his performance. Even when marvel introduced thanos just saying ill do it myself was way more impactful and chilling than kang introduction.

I feel like Kang is definitely going to win the intelligence category. He's basically a walking encyclopedia about time travel like he puts Doc and Marty to shame
In the comics Kang is afraid of Thanos. Not because of his strength but that if he knew of his existence he'd work out to stop him.
Thanos has quite a bit of knowledge of time too via the Time Stone.

Thanos doesnt stand a chance unless time stone is better than the time travel device Kang is using. Thanos snaps fingers bum, universe destroyed and he is exhausted and almost dead cause of the power of the stones. Then Kang just comes back from the past - he went to the past before thanos snap and came back after his snap GG. Also Kang allowed Thanos to gather all the stones - it was Kangs plot.

I just realized Kang is just Marvel's version of Rick Sanchez. Brilliant sociopathic scientist who can travel to multidimensions whose alternate version keeps killing each other.
More like Rick is Rick and Morty's version of Kang.
There is a major difference; Rick gets his tech from other cultures and locations, Kang can do that plus get tech from future locations or even past ones.
Can’t remember what episode but Rick stated once time travel never works right or something to that effect.
@@1974Teebone Rick typically never messes with Time Travel and considers the whole thing a massive pain as seen in "Rattlestar Ricklactia" where he had to help snake aliens learn time travel just to ultimately get rid of them as a threat. So yeah he has time traveled before but not something he would spend time developing time doing.

Death never accepts Thanos in the comics effectively making him immortal, because of this he becomes the sole ruler of the galaxy. He kills galactus, imprisons the hulk, and defeats the silver surfer (who has Thor’s hammer) with the annihilation wave and he still wins without any infinity stones. The only reason king Thanos loses is because younger Thanos kills him. Kang doesn’t stand a chance against that.

As a long time comic reader, I have to say that it generally depends on the situation regarding these two. Both could win in a fight with one another with the right weapons and mind set. At the end of the day though, I do believe Kang would win. He's a time traveler with knowledge of different timelines. Not to mention that there's always more than one of him around. Plus let me not get started on his intelligence. Again, I'm saying this as a long time comic book reader.

You should know better then. Kang is just a normal human with a time machine. Thanos has traversed time. Thanos has also killed every threat or being without the gauntlet. This is cannon and was covered in the comic "Thanos". Past Thanos literally had to kill future Thanos to stop the time line. He is technically immortal. As a long time comic reader you should know this.
I'm just trying to figure out how a being who controls the multiverse gets beat by a guy who struggled to control the universe. Are we using comic book logic or MCU?

No, no, no... The infinity gauntlet is not Thanos's weapon, but a plot object. We've seen the gauntlet wielded by others and Thanos only uses it minimally in combat, because he doesn't own/fully control the gauntlet. The infinity gauntlet falls into the [Intelligence] category, where Thanos figures what infinity stones are and ordered the craft of the gauntlet.
Its technically his weapon, just like how The Green Ring is Green Lantern's weapon even though it was used by multiple characters in the DC universe such as batman, and just like how the ultimate nulfier is Galactus's Weapon even though it was stolen by Mr Fantastic who used it against him.

Yeah and that is the biggest failure there because Kang wouldn't have all that knowledge in his head because going back in the timeline would already change everything just by being there. But again that is why I hate time travel and the multiverse as a whole because it is massive plot hole maker.

I agree with most of the scores, except 'Origins', mainly because to me it is massively more interesting for Thanos to be motivated by courting death, rather than Kang wanting to rule just for the sake of ruling.

I’m excited for the multiverse, but I was really hoping they’d have Galactus be the next MCU big bad :,)
A lot of people are thinking that Kang will take Thanos' place as the big bad of the MCU, but I think a more likely candidate is THE big bad of Marvel as a whole, Dr. Doom. Now that they have his movie rights back, they can do it. I do think though that Kang will have a major role in Phase 4, just like Loki in Phase 1.

Conceptually what makes Kang interesting is that he has technology from the end of time.
However it's just like with Thanos, Galactus and Darkseid.... it's in how the character is conceived, written and above all acted.
For example DarkSeid is arguably the most interesting from the comics, but his Snyder cut portrayal was a CG disaster. His voice was from Saturday morning cartoons. His dialogue was abominable. The character's behavior was stupid and led directly to his defeat *twice* in one film. 😂
Likewise Galactus was so difficult to take seriously as a skyscraper sized man - that they turned him into a cloud.
In contrast Josh Brolin's MCU Thanos was absolutely brilliant. In its own way he ranks with Heath Ledger's Joker.
And he has the best dialog this side of Anthony Hopkins Hannibal Lector.
So - the jury is still out on Major's Kang. Hopefully he will be an all time great villain , but he as some tremendous competition to live up to.

Nathan could also just jump Thanos to another dimension because that little glove only works in the one he got the stones from, Plus he has infinite prep time and resources so strength means nothing. Or he could just do what he did in the MCU and let the tedious Titan suffocate in the inevitable inadequacies of his own fate because he's irrelevant.

Well, he destroyed every single universe except one with not a single Infinity Stone, so I'd say Kang is a very, very serious threat compared to roided out Grimace.
Decided to watch this as I don't read comics and Kang will be in the new Ant Man film so I felt like I needed to learn more about Kangs capabilities. Thanos is like a nuclear bomb, a one and done thing so if you stop him then you most likely won't have to deal with him again. Kang has the numbers with his variants and tech thousands of years superior to modern Earth along with insane intelligence across all of his variants. It's not simply a case of using the infinity stones as Kang would already know that something regarding them was going to happen so he could prepare to stop it from happening, and it's not a guarantee that the stones would wipe out all of his variants anyway. They would probably get one over on his tech but that's it. I get the feeling that there's only two ways of stopping Kang. One would be to close the multiverse so that only one Kang remains, or get one or more of his variants to work against the rest as Avengers. There could be another method, but I can't think of one. Dealing with time travel is for sure a pain in the arse sometimes.
kang has tech that allows for time travel and multiversal travel. he sees time differently to everyone else as a result. hes more likely to kill thor as a baby, than he is to fight him man to man.
There were lot of infinity stones in tva, I think with help of them Kang could make infinity gunlet or gunlets for himself.

It all depends which version of each one we are talking about, I mean one version of Thanos wiped out half the universe but to counter one Kang supposedly controlled entire timelines. In the end without all the Tech/Armour, other realities or Stones Thanos is a Titan (an Eternal) making him one of the most powerful beings in the universe to start with so without all the help Thanos is more dangerous.
I'm more intimidated by the guy that wiped out entire universes without needing a single Infinity Stone and had such a control of the timeline that he let the Avengers kill Thanos twice.
If Kang thought Thanos was a threat, he would've done something about all that, but Kang had no reason to, as he he was leaps and bounds beyond Thanos' pervue.

You know that was meant as a cheap joke right? Because if you know what the TVA is. You would know that the showrunners didn't do their research because if they did they would know that the stones should work in the TVA HQ. Because the TVA was in the core universe and therefore it was a massive fuck up on the showrunner and writers parts. That is why you do the research. That is why they didn't say anything about where the TVA is. Because they knew if they reveal it it would destroy their whole "o the Infinity Stones doesn't work here BS".

But they can't change the things that effects the universe itself(case in point the infinity stones) and every creator, writer or director knows this it is Worldbuilding 101.
The stones only work within their universe and the TVA(both in comics and show) exist outside time itself(the Dark Dimension is the same thing a dimension within the core universe, which is called a pocket dimension or state of existence and another example is Heaven and Hell) and Mobius also said that time moves different here(which end of itself means that it exists outside of time itself and like the Dark Dimension an infinity stone works there) and henceforth the Space Stone should've worked within the TVA(Worldbuilding rules makes it clear that an infinity stone has universal power and that outclasses a lot) and to further prove that point the TVA existed in the scared timeline which was the core universe before Sylie killed Immortus and the multiverse came to past.
As for some of the changes it was to make the characters more real in terms of fictional realism and by doing that it made the characters more believable and multidimensional in their character development(case in point Thanos's goal).
So in other words. My points are more relevant because without the source material then the MCU would not exist in the first place. They used the comics as a template to adapt them and bring the Marvel characters from the comics to boom the screen.
@@JustTooDamnHonest Riiiiiiiiiight. Theres tons of reboots of franchises and adaptations to other mediums that rewrite the baseline way the base systems of their universe (or multiverse) work. They can be separate valid canons. Even fundamental parts of the multiverse and how it functions and operates, CAN BE DIFFERENT. Good on you for knowing the specifics of how the comics work, but that doesn't mean the writers of everything else have to line up inside that canon.

Details is what makes or breaks are story you can still make mistakes. But if you do not learn from them then you are doomed to repeat them.
No one has to follow anything. But you should know something called common sense. But people always find a way to make it harder on themselves because they do not want to listen to common sense.
Here is the common sense. The source material have done it all and it is common sense for them to look it over and use it as a baseline for their adaptations. They are not going to copy it, because that is not adaptation it is copying and if they did do that then there would be no point in seeing the film because the comic already did it.
Common sense and general understanding is there for a reason and those who do not take even a minute of their time to look at it then they are just asking for failure. You do not even have to follow it but adapt it and make it into your own style.
