Very good staged 'restoration' project. Sadly you missed a few things which indicated that the amplifier was made to look old, corroded and failing in a spectacular way. But entertaining none the less.
Try using flux while soldering. That way you won’t get that brown schmutz after soldering. Plus, copper braid should be moved after absorbing solder, because using only one place might not absorb all the solder.
Where a Variac comes in handy. bring up the voltage and if the current starts to climb too high not exponentially to the voltage, you know there is a problem and before you blow something.
The nice orange peel texture all over the amp really adds character. Permanently encasing years worth of grime beneath the paint is a good idea for future archaeologists to study when it’s dug up years later. The clear coat and paint really seal in the dirt and grime for future studies. Prep is the key to a nice paint or clear coat. If you’re not going to prep at least wet sand.
The failure of this amplifier is man-made. A power outlet can be seen around 1:57 in the video. There's a wire that doesn't belong there. And at 2:08 it's gone. The soldering of the outlet also has new traces only in that part. Lowest.😞
Whenever you are testing ANY ELECTRICAL products, ALWAYS connect it via a SERIES BOARD. This SERIES board has two paralled 200W filament bulbs, but in series with the load . This avoids sparking, flashing etc of the electric product.
Wouldn't it be better to replace the damaged parts (or at least those ones that looks pretty bad) first, and then try powering it on? This way those damaged parts wouldn't cause more damage, right?
Looks like rectifier is short on the secondary, its best to use current limiting such as a light bulb in series on the mains side to prevent further damage. Secondly, its best to pull apart and clean the PCBs first.

So those 30+ year old power supply caps just get dusted and go straight back in… He first fries the power supply then fixes it… what about getting a variac?
