kenwood amplifier restoration is my next project.
today i'm going to restore the japanese amp, it looks brand new on the outside, but inside the components are badly damaged. it took me a long time to get the amp working again.
The recovery video still has many shortcomings, looking forward to receiving your feedback so that I can build a better channel...thanks a lot!

The nice orange peel texture all over the amp really adds character. Permanently encasing years worth of grime beneath the paint is a good idea for future archaeologists to study when it’s dug up years later. The clear coat and paint really seal in the dirt and grime for future studies. Prep is the key to a nice paint or clear coat.
If you’re not going to prep at least wet sand.

Hello. If you turn on the amplifier for testing, I advise you to turn on the amplifier through an incandescent lamp connected in series with the amplifier. If the amplifier is defective, the light will illuminate and protect the amplifier components from fire. After repair, the first inclusion must be carried out through an incandescent lamp, so as not to re-repair and understand that the amplifier has not yet been repaired and there are problems in it.

It's cool but as long as you do all that, why not clean the radiator and pass the blower on the components that remain dusty?!
