Wow! Thanks for the amazing feedback. Go go go! Can't wait to hear what conversations and discussion this sparks with your co-workers. I appreciate you following along and spreading the word 🙏🏻
Such a big insight Melissa. Just keeping this in mind all day can keep you completely engaged regardless of your job or level in the organization. Anyone who manages the energy can become the leader and get any conversation back on track towards HOW WE COULD. Love that!
Stress is optional, especially at work. This is such gold! I feel like we wear stress like a badge of honor and something required to indicate that you're successful. The tip around, is this story true, is my personal favorite!
This one is so crucial, but usually the toughest to start to get the hang of as a daily practice. I even screw this one up, but only daily. The key is once you start using that little tool to separate out the story from the reality you can start to notice patterns and recognize them in stressful moments at work. Over time, this greatly increases our capacity for tough situations as a leader. Love it Abby!
Love it Amy! This is often a fine line to walk and many leaders accidentally dip into sympathy when what their team needs from them is empathy. Thanks for jumping in and commenting.
TEAMWORK commitment to make it together, everyone is all in, and can be counted on. TRUST IS HUGE.. soo live in the moment/circumstance and be real (truth to self) SUCCEED. ♥️☝️👍
@@AlexMDorr Hi Alex, I have pulled the RBL graduate lists for the past 5 years at Cambridge and forwarded this video as a refresher. It will be interesting to see how many view it and what feedback I receive.
@@bobjones6421 Love that idea Bob and thanks for passing on the content. That's my hope with some of these videos is that they can be quick reminders to get back to the basics and to keep practicing the core disciplines of the philosophy. Would love to hear how everyone is using the tools and ideas.
That's exactly what I said in the video. Everyone is invited to be fluent in the 5 source of low-drama competencies - regardless of backround. So everyone is invited. However, there is sometimes a small group that isn't ready for high-accountability, readiness for change, self-reflection and buying in to the decisions of their organization and when they choose to make that choice - I would support them in transitioning to another organization where they can do so. All are welcome to step up, some will choose that this environment isn't for them. Hope that helps clarify!
I'll show this to the supervisors I work with. It's a goldmine of "why didn't I think of that" wisdom. Thank you so much Alex.

You no longer manage people, you manage the energy of people. I feel as if this one is also foundational to the rest. Great resource, thank you!

Favorite tip: Give empathy, not sympathy. Great tips!

Call to greatness (Empathy) different from sympathy and Mastering the Toggle Switch (Up!) - High self. Great tools. Thank you Alex.
Love that you picked those two out! Both are crucial for leaders right now. So happy you enjoyed the video

Love these reminders Barb! So well said and great additions. Keep ditching the drama out there 🙌🏻🙏🏻
Empathy not Sympathy is a golden leadership rule
Always a core tip that we can forget as leaders. I know you are out there teaching it well Bob! Hope all is well your way.

Bad advice: Treat all employees the same to be fair
