Classics: Ali Boulala "Sorry"

- Опубликовано: 11 мар 2013
- Here's a wild mix of creative skating, gnarly stunts, dork tricks, and slams. This part also includes one of the biggest ollie attempts ever, so of course Jaws introduces this Flip Classic from 2002.

probably the most memorable skateboarding quote of my childhood "my hass is out"
Jamie Phillips my friends and I say that so much still when we hangout. It's kind of just a gem inside joke at this point
same
This quote and " I had a hard day...at the office "
Is it not "another hard day..."?
Me and my sk8 friends quoted this alot haha
God I used to play this over and over on VHS
ditto
I like Pokemon too.
Donut lol, big fan :)
Seeing you here damn :D
Donut Operator same dude.
When I was young I worked in a skate shop in Stockholm and I remember a little boy a couple of years younger than me that used to hang out there all the time. The first couple of times I saw him he was quiet and a bit insecure but when he realized that he had more talent than anybody else around he turned into an extreme extrovert.
Ali in the flesh
I just realized how much switch he’s done in this part.
exactly what i was thinking
Probably because you've never been on a skateboard.
@@isorokudono bro what lmfao
I always loved how he's got the hesh punk style yet clean tech tricks like , nollie 180 heels, and switch tailslides , regular frontside heels, switch hardflips, switch flip. Respect.
Switch smith
@@footrot17 yes!
As a kid didn’t realize how diverse this part actually is , the switch is unreal
pretty funny that jaws just landed that 25 stair at the end and introduced this part.
Vid?
+Jason Palacios isn´t out yet
Cant wait then
+Jason Palacios its out, on the thrasher site
Jaws had pads a roll in ramp and melon grabbed he's a puss
3:47 best swich heel ever
go watch some stevie williams footy
It was! Ali did it stanceless too, shoulders open as if he was regular footed. He was ahead of his time.
@@joshuadansby2874great switch push too! He’s always had natural looking switch.
skateboarding sid vicious
This the most accurate comment ive seen all day
🤔 Damn...
No. Sid was a no talent loser.
The Sex Pistols are one of my favorite bands but Fuck that guy. Ali was a fucking legend
@Drew Biggah because he was the cliche. He didn't start shit. He was there when it began. He started the pogo. If being so stupid you can barely function is punk well....
He was that BEFORE being a junkie.
that was alis fashion inspiration
This part changed my life forever.
Thats awsome man
Agreed.
It's crazy how good he is at skating switch
Theo Adkins Courtney was*
He had insane talent so imagine how great was his self-destruct mode that it overshadowed it
Rumour was, he was too drunk to remember what stance he was so he would skate switch unintentionally
@@G4sTo0wN was coming herr to make that same correction!
@@G4sTo0wN he’s lucky to be alive, don’t need the “was” dumb comment
damn he got in jail, because his friend died in a motorcylcle crash, that he caused under the influence of alcohol? I think 2 years in jail is nothing compared to living with that guilt.
dropping small dogs into a mini ramp... That's animal abuse in my book. Not cool at all!
@@alexwray6530 I might be wrong but he didn't throw the dog to cause any harm he just let it slide but I can see why you say it is animal abuse
@@alexwray6530 such a puss
@@alexwray6530 thats not animal abuse even in the slightest the dog clearly was not injured by sliding down a ramp grow the fuck up
@@alexwray6530 puss
Anyone else find it extremely depressing to watch this part knowing that he cant even kick flip anymore and all of his emotions got turned down to like a 1 compared to the 11 he blasting through life at during this part? Hes like a walking depressed zombie now and it sucks that he had to go through what he went through. Get back on the board Ali!! We miss you!
I know right
But he is kinda old
what happened to the dude? :/
+piggyskate Like he was drunk n' smoked out like out of control and got a motorbike accident and this is not the sad part
+piggyskate drunken accident on a motorcycle resulting in Shane Cross dying and Ali being seriously injured and going to jail for man slaughter (Shane Cross was on the bike with him during the accident).
Ya i feel sad when i think about it.....and it changes someone..... I mean how could he be happy like before when he killed his friend, and he cant skateboard.....
Damn his switch skating is so on point
Is there a more badass part than this?! Every single clip stands out...from the skating to the guitar smashing. Fantastic!
"My ass is out" that's pretty much his catchphrase
hass*
or "another hard day at the office"
@@Andrei-eb2duright!.....proper English mate!!! Haha 😄
His sw stance was waaay ahead of it's time ...... Totally underrated....
Yes he was literally stanceless - skated both ways with open shoulders.
My favourite skater since I started skating
George yeah same
Respect to Ali, one of my favorite classic skaters. That Ollie gap at the end was epic! I wish he landed it.
I’m 29 now and this is my favorite part of the sorry video. I love Ali’s rawness and punk rock
This guy's story ended up being more tragic than anakin skywalker's
Ehhh why ?
so the story is that ali want to ride a motorcycle and shane decided to go with ali, ali is the driver and the passenger is shane (both of them are drunk) but in the end they had a motorcycle crash the good thing is ali survive but not shane shane died in the age of 20 (1986-2007).
Not even a joke I've been watching this everyday for the last few weeks just such a great fucking skateboarder and always inspires me to go have fun and just do gnarly shit
Love you Ali
fuck he didn't even roll or slide out of the bail, fucking 25 stair impact straight to your knees, that would fucking suck.
+Garf2O And that's why He's Ali Boulala.....
oh.....you...the millenials shut up
zoma748
the fuck are you on about.
Hhhh sorry mate I'm drunk please don't bother . I thought you said he suck cheers ;)
zoma748
oh lol, we're cool.
Ali going from this to not being able to skate is heartbreaking...but there are worse things out there. Stay sober Ali. I've been back and forth so many times (still skate)...but today skating helps me STAY sober......One love everybody
My all time favorite skater
I like the partial turn Ali does in the air when he straight ollies big shit some original style
Can’t tell you how many times I watched Ali’s and Geoff’s parts when I was in high school. I wanted to be a piss drunk 😂
I always loved everything about this part.
i skated from 98 to 2001. 1999 2000 was golden for skating in my opinion, it was at the top. toronto was sick
I started in 97 and still skate to this day. I recently broke my leg in multiple places along with disclocating my ankle too while skating. Doctors tried to tell me I probably won't ever skate again. Yeah, fuck that. That era from 99-2005, 06 was so much different. Raw, zero fucks given, just causing fucking chaos and havoc in the streets of Seattle when we would have a mob of 15 skaters with us. Fuck man, I miss it.
3:50, one of the "all time great" switch heels said somebody
Mark appleyard I think
The man who inspired me to learn all my tricks switch better than my regular stance.
That old Flip team was legendary, grew up with this part, sick
"FFFUUUCKK!!!"
+i live life best part
And Michael Jackson said he was the king of pop
***** Why thank ya
hahaha
Dont think MJ actually said that himself. More like everybody else.
That Lyon 25 at the end makes me almost cry thinking about him being there when Jaws melon grabbed it, not because he never landed it and jaws did but because he can’t even skate anymore and it’s so sad because I grew up worshiping Ali Boulala. I always wanted to be just like him and in a way I did become like him. I skated (nowhere near as good but could hold my own on a board) and became an addict and ruined anything I had going for me skateboarding wise.
I always come back to this one
Me too man I use to have the vhs and always was blown away by ali's part, . . . Still am.
3:48 cleanest switch heel i've ever seen
3:16 everytime i see this i just can´t process it.
Used to have this video on repeat yet somehow today my mind is utterly blown by that trick. I never really recognized how crazy that trick is
remember watching this for the first time
sorry as a whole is one of the sickest vids of all time for me
Ali Boulala ,the perfect image of the “ send it “skater.
-my hass is out
+Katt- Macka hittade dig helt random
+Albix lool
I pray ali is ok. Hes been through a lot.
I just googled him and he's looking pretty damn good, looks like he's got his shit together. I was happy to see that
Hes all good 👍🏻
he is my colleague and is doing really good
man, when i was a wee lad learning to skate during this time, everyone wanted to skate like a mix of Ali, Penny, and Reynolds. this video part was defo an inspiration
one of my favorite part ever for some reason
Legend
my buddy use to get so annoyed when he'd have a part in a video we were watching. LOL. said he didn't seem to take anything serious and that his parts were jokes. This dude is an OG in the game and a lot of his earlier skating is pretty epic. He did get weird and his style changed but it always stuck out to me as unique. Who else was being a weirdo and doing these types of tricks? lol. Sorry is classic.
Yea, he definitely tried some pretty unique tricks/spots. He was the KING of landing in on/treating insanely inclined surfaces (basically walls sometimes) like they were little mini-ramps...
He deserves a royalty for this video XD Every time this video gets watched, that was his stunt. Just like every great skater who put themselves on the line
damn I was so stoked for this part when this video came out.
The only comment someone should leave on a video with this man is LEGEND.
Sickest part ive seen
Awesome part 👏💕👍🤙
So gnarly. He was so raw and psychotic. I always tried to emulate Boulala because of this
Ali boulala? More like Ollie boulala!!
skating used to be so real
you know why the past is always so much better? 'cause we forgot how much we bitched about how shitty the present was.
It was in the times of when it wasn't really socially accepted yet. We was still outcasts and looked at as just some punk kids. This was during my height of skating the most in highschool. That not giving a fuck attitude you just don't see much anymore. Skateboarding has become so commercialized everybodys grandmother knows who Nyjah Huston is.
@@josephpossanza5022 fuck commercialism
Ali is by far one of my favorites
Officially my favourite skate part
song:
Gray Matter - Burn No Bridges...
classic dischord 80's punk band...!!!
Thanks
cant believe jaws landed that 25 set
Is there a vid?
Jason Palacios soon, theres only pictures of the cover of trasher rn
+DeltaForceHD Videos up now
Eli Brown yeah i saw, its unbelievable
+Jason Palacios nah its fake
Congrats on 2000 days beein clean, LEGEND!
idk why but i cant stop watching this video its so fun
Ali is still my all-time favorite. Everything about his skating is so damn sketchy!
It's like a controlled sketchiness tho which is great. I also love how he just keeps fuck ups in his part. Shit my switch crook went into a noseslide at the end. Fuck it, were gonna put that in anyways. Ali was awesome and this is still one of my fav parts.
this guy just goes fucking mental! mad props !
I'm brought back to my youth watching this part
2:07 "FAUUUCK" would always repeat it out loud at this part re-watching it hundreds of times haha - good ol days
damn. still one of my favorites. just remember he's goofy
"another hard day at the office." lol
i remember seeing this part for the first time... magnificent
Ah the glory days, when the only way to watch pros was to buy the vhs of your favorite skate team 🔥❤
Hell yeah a better time , in some ways, in the not so distant past. Godamn man I'm only 34.
Sólo de ver las cosas que hacía este we me sudan las manos, qué rifadoo
Song: Burn No Bridges by Gray Matter
This was the first skate video that i've ever seen.. Boulala was the first skater that i've ever seen.. Absolutly incredible!
Can't tell anyone that he was my idol as a skater. Those mighty stairs broke him
3:33 -- best kickflip ever done!
Agreed - other than when Reynolds kept breaking the record for how many stairs one could kickflip (don’t even know where it’s at now or if someone else broke it), there is NO OTHER kickflip more badass...
2:45 that's some skills
this is probably my single favorite part in skateboarding.
Can’t believe he was drunk while skating like this !
Watching this makes me want to pull all my 411vms out of my closet and logic videos and upload them to youtube lol
plz do
2:07 my favourite bit
FACH
Way better than any new part, Ali.
this video deserves way more views
Best video, best skate team ever
DeadFlorist pampampamparampa “here they come” pamparampa “here they come” pamparampa..... that’s the best skate video eve bro.
like how geoff rowley's part has a song from the same band in Ali's part :DD
no doubt, Flip Sorry is my favorite skate video hands down. that shit blew my mind when I first saw it as a kid.
Exactly the same for me, so much memories in this period!
4:34 he could've done a late laser flip down the 25 haha
ever since I was a kid I always liked to think that fat injured man at 0:25 was pointing at ali in a daze, mumbling something like "that's the one, he's the one who hurt me"
Always wondered what acc happened him
For everyone asking, ALL songs in this part are...
1. Joe “Fingers” Carr & 80 Drums Around The World Istanbul Not Constantinople
2. The Greatest Show on Earth… Animal Acts
3. Gray Matter - Burn No Bridges
You are my inspiration to skate while drunk... 😆😅🤣
Sid vicious :)
this dude is so sketchy. I think he's dustin dollin's brother or something. They are both raw and sketchy.
Best video of all time
My favorite skater. Still have this in a yellow tape VHS.
Best french skater.
Il est pas français il me semble
AdriGrunge41 Si
Gabin Groll bah je sais pas parce que j'ai chercher sur internet et il n'est pas français après je sais pas c'est peut être du mytho
Ah t'a raison il est suédois pardon
Bien vu. :)
Je ne sais pas pourquoi je le pensais français..
Besades all the hate on him, it must be said that his style is so gnarly.
+Alfredo (jorgebartual97) what hate? nthing but love
fuck he was a better skater than I remembered lol
i remember watching this for the first time. what a character ali is....

thank you
10 years later the classics video has itself become a classic
