My wife and I were just there last week. We stayed in the Art Deco district at the Hilton Gabriel (Park City Hotel) next door to Avalon. We went to same stretch of beach, and we also sat next to the green lifeguard tower LOL. We also went to Gianni's restaurant at the Versace mansion - the Italian Villa on Ocean Blvd in your video. The beach is was clean there, and it is also nice and wide. The Art Deco hotels have so much more character than a big box resort. I definitely recommend a visit there.
Yeah no idea why we resorted to boring big concrete rectangle buildings when we could be making stylish buildings like this everywhere

Guys, as someone who lived in Miami twice in my 70 year lifetime, let me say the following. You are staying in Miami Beach and not Miami. Two different cities. Miami Beach will be more expensive because you will be charged tourist prices. I love Lincoln Drive, but the restaurant prices are too expensive. If you wanted Cuban food, you should have eaten in Little Havana, better and cheaper.Two of the most iconic Cuban restaurants in Little Havana are La Carreta and Versailles. You also need to have an authentic Cuban sandwich. An area that I would have suggested to visit is Coral Gables. This city has a Spanish background and it is very beautiful, and there are a multitude of good restaurants also. The vibe in Coral Gables is better for people like you who appreciate a less busy and agitated area. Another great area is Midtown, with its art scene and another good offering of restaurants, coffee shops and shopping. Outside of Miami Beach, there are multiple mass transit offerings in the greater Miami region. The metro, the mover, the various trolleys and other local offerings. When you lock yourself in to Miami Beach, you end up missing many excellent things in greater Miami. Obviously, by the time you read this you will have left Miami already.
I can't imagine Miami without being at the beach, though. What areas do you suggest to stay clear of for a visiting tourist? I know Miami is known for some of the worst crime of any city in the US.

I've never been to Miami because i figure why go there when i can go somewhere in Caribbean instead, but this video definitely has peaked my interest. It looks amazing! So clean, too. I'm sure there are sketchy areas in Miami, but Miami Beach looks fantastic. So much better than all the homlessness and trash everywhere here in Toronto, Canada.

@@LinoPR-ds2keDangerous? Compared to what? The city is going to have start shrinking it's homicide unit because they only had 31 homicides for the entire year in the whole city! A lot of the police officers are working on cold cases because of how little work they have.

Great video, loved watching and reminiscing about the time I visited in 2022 with the wife.
The new camera looks better when filming at night then the Go Pro. I was in Miami about 6 months ago. I loved the Cuban food. The best thing I had was the Beef Vaca Frita...so good. I highly recommend it.Great work on the video. The lights of Miami are cool at night. Looking forward to the next video.

A huge misconception is that’s always warm enough for the beach here in Miami, but in reality locals only touch the weather starting late March and into April, so right now is the time!
I have often been in Miami and last time I had a wonderful room in the Park Central Hotel at the Ocean Drive in the art deco district with direct view to the beautiful beach and the daily parade of the rich and beautful in their luxery cars. Although it was in march the sun was intensiv so I took a heavey sunburn during my ride to Lincoln Road where you can buy the latest I Phone or superfancy sunglasses. Although I enjoyed the fresh water of the Atlantic Ocean in Rio the same month two years ago I refrained from jumping in this time, but several people did. Your video was therefore a nice reminder of the region I like most besides the incredible Rio and Palermo in Sicily. With a bunch of money I would change my adress to one of these places immediately.

While it is cold, you guys picked the right time to come when the beaches are not super crowded. My last trip to the area was during a holiday weekend, and it was way too packed to even get parking. But the weather is so weird, that it is so nice for a few hours then get hit by a downpour immediately...hopefully, you guys have a video of a Cuban bakery there. There's one in LA that's pretty famous (Porto's) and all the locations never disappoint.
The weather is good until the end of April .July and August are very humid the sea is very warm also and it rains a lot . Lincoln rd has not changed since I was last there in 2009. The Cuban cafe con Leche is made with condensed milk so it’s very high in cholesterol.As for Apple products they are more expensive in Spain too.Great video keep up the good work.

In 2008 I stayed in the Cardozo Hotel on Ocean Drive (owned by singer Gloria Estefan), together with my creative director, as we were there for a shoot with pop stars for a global campaign. I really enjoyed it. After a week we moved to the Shore Club, which wasn't that beautiful, but they upgraded us to a two bedroom suite with views on the beach and they had a brilliant pool- and a Nobu restaurant. Good times! Your new camera works better in the dark, especially on faces.

It’s definitely been an abnormally cool winter in south Florida thus far. I think it’s from El Niño. Last February was like straight 80s and humid, real feel temp like 100 in the sun (40C).
It’s back in the 80s today, and will be for five days 🤷

It has been a while since I have been to Miami, it has probably changed a lot. I used to live in the Keys, I always loved going to Miami Beach. Maybe I need to get back there again.
If you scratch or break the lens cover on the Insta360 you have to send it back to be repaired not a twist off like GoPro.
Water temperature is the coldest in February, but swimming is still do-able. It never drops below about 72F and there is less chance of a cool day. I once went swimming in early December at Pensacola with a water temperature of 69F (20C)

One of the reasons i chose Mauritius at this time of year is because it''s in the southern hemisphere and in mid summer atm and it's been in the mid 30's everyday and 27.c at night. I'm back in the freezing UK now though.lol I wish i could travel all the time like you guys but this coming northern hemisphere summer i will certainly be out again and it will be somewhere in the caribbean but haven't decided which island yet. I have done Jamaica, dominican many times and barbados so next i might try st lucia or antigua.
Little havana was mostly Cubans residents living in that area from the 60s to the early 90s, but now are mostly people from Central America
Thanks for this comparison between the GoPro and the Insta 360. The last one is visibly better in low light. I hope you will make the same comparison in the light of day, in a future video.
Little advice to Carole about the battery management of her iPhone. Never recharge to more than 90% and never let it discharge below 30%. Managing the battery of your iPhone is like managing the battery of an electric car. Avoid extremes and most importantly, never let it fully discharge. This is really what damages a battery the most.
Insta definitely cranks the iso up but doesn't have the tech to know to focus on Carol.
Go pro looks sharper and has better contrast, but it's way to dark to achieve to the contrast.
Insta is passable for clips but just don't focus on faces close up for long. Go Pro just didn't look usable at all.

January can be cold. When we were there in 2010 it was only 3 degrees celsius for a few days. It stayed below 15 degrees for 2 weeks

We still prefer the gopro during the day, just using this new cam for nigh time and dark indoor shots now :D

Great video ❤. We live in Tampa Bay and drive to Miami and their traffic is horrible so we don’t make trips there that often. Once Brightline train adds Tampa to their stop then will be easier to visit

January is the coldest month in Miami
I was there in February post cruise in South Beach…… the temps were warm enough but the winds were strong and water temperature was low…… not many on the beach tbh…. It’s ok for sitting around but you most likely won’t be needing to cool off in the water………

yeah during the day we still prefer the gopro by far but the new cam has been handy in some dark indoor situations and at night :D
You guys went to Miami when all the tourists are gone 👍👍 I can see the difference between the GoPro cameras, the 360 is definitely the best. It’s 75 degrees in central Florida, so that means that it’s about 78-80 degrees in Miami and the cool air is coming from up north 😂. Good job on this video…

Not used to see Miami Beach that empty. In the hotel rows, the sidewalk cafes are usually packed and so the streets where you see luxury rental cars . It must be nice to visit Miami Beach off season for a change. Not so chaotic to stroll and you get to enjoy checking out art decos
Why do people keep saying it's "Off Season" in Miami in the middle of January? Winter in Miami is the height of the Tourist Season !
