I’ve been watching Jeff’s videos since I started working out and went from 125 to 165 in two years because of his free advice. Thanks Jeff! I can’t wait to hit more goals. On a side-note, brown rice is legit.
+joe putte Yes. There's a really good supplement I would recommend for people your age called B-Milk. It's basically human milk. I know, it sounds gross, but it does wonders for people your age.
Jeff is Great! There is this Older guy, some say the first or "Grandfather" of fitness channels .....he's not a trainer per se.....but his name is Scooby. (Scooby's workshop). or Scooby1962. That guy has great, honest advice, too. Basically the same as Jeff....some minor differences. He's got free workouts and some recipes, too. Harps on Nutrition as well. And proper form. He's actually very funny.
let me tell you this everyone out there. What he says is so true. I don't think I was a hard gainer, but I had cancer and got down to 167lbs after surgery. Then I started following everything Jeff says and all his workouts and meal plans. I'm now doing the most resent NXT. I now weight 210lbs a year later from starting with Athlean-X. I started out with 40lb dumbbell bench press and now using 90lbs. So you decide for yourself, but it works for me. It will work for you if your willing to put in the time and effort.......
Michael...you're an inspiration my man! Honored to have you on my team! Would love if you'd be willing to share your transformation pics and perhaps a brief video explaining what you have written here? People need to hear about your suXXess and your resiliency. If so, let me know and I can tell you where to send them. Thanks again and keep up the hard work! Clearly paying off. Coach Cav
ATHLEAN-X™ Well, I have never been much on pictures, so I dont have many. The ones I do have are mostly because my girls ambush me and take them like the most resent one I use now. But if you tell me what your looking for and how to go about doing it we'll see what can be done. By the way, doing 100lbs now and turned 50 May 30th. I also use the Athlean-X supplements as well.
That's awesome! Seriously, forget being 50, most guys can't lift those at ANY age! Appreciate the willingness to do the testimonial. All we'd need is a before and after photo showing your gains and then a quick video (could be shot with a cell phone if you don't have a camera) telling us what A-X has done for you. You can upload them all to us at athleanx.wetransfer.com Thanks Michael! Proud of you....Coach Cav
ATHLEAN-X™ I seem to have a problem. I know longer have any before pictures as I changed them out with the change of the the programs I was doing. I guess I deleted as I updated. The only way is if the web site where you put your pic is some how saved in one of your archives. If not sorry, never thought I would have ever been asked to do something like this. Got everything thing else.
Just eat a good mix of healthy foods. Vegetables, meats, eggs, fruit, some whole grain breads and stay away from processed foods, candy and limit alcohol. Train hard, sleep enough and eat right and be patient. The gains will come.
+G_Reg17 weed isn't going to effect the structure or recovery of working out. (Granted you shouldn't be high and workout )it's chemical compound veers completely away from any change to your muscle recovery or diet. Alcohol stated in bodybuilding.com ( credible source) can explain in more detail than I can as to why alcohol is bad. But mainly it's compound can decrease amount of muscle reproduction by nearly 35% which means after or even before a workout drinking gives you a risk of not getting a full recovery and loss of what could be a 35 % muscle gain compared to staying sober. Along with other cons such as how much calories are in alcohol, thinning of the blood to creat less of a pump, etc. go ahead and look it up on bodybuilding.com. (I'm not saying to smoke weed because it's not gonna benefit your workout but is definitely a much safer and more reliable choice )
CHASE DREAMS man i was skinny but i started to change after i workout now im fit just eat alot, when i was skinny i ate alot i eat every time im bored and still nothing so i started to train i guess dat was my body shape:/
honestly a great video. i know im a little late to the party but im 18 and had trouble putting on wieght. i was getting leaner from my workouts and nutrition but mass was difficult for me. i have begun truly eating only healthy mass gaining foods, chicken breast, egg, lean meats, oatmeal, organic nutbutters, spinach. cut the shit, cut the cakes. after 2 years of semi healthy eating and no mass gain, in the last 2 weeks alone i have put on my first 2KG in 2 years!! im hitting a 3000-4000cal diet of only the healthy stuff and it has made a huge difference. my gains are excellent and im excited for the future. i feel lucky to have discovered such an accurate and knowlegable PT online for free. keep doing good work jeff, saving lives i tell ya!
How did you manage to regularly eat that much? I'm doing the same since 12 weeks now, but I still struggle to get over 3000 calories. I'm I'm on the run that day a lot or have to postpone a meal due to training (can't train with full stomach) it becomes nearly impossible to reach my target, so I often find myself buying some fastfood to not be 1000 calories + or even more under my recommended intake...
@@DHFreaki honestly just training, your stomach will grow and your body will demand more food as you start pushing more weight and growing more. All I can say is keep trying and be consistent as possible and you'll get there.
Actually that's wrong! I'm very skinny guy in my school and i eat more than anyone in the school. It's crazy that how much more i can eat than people that are twice the weight of me.
I use to believe I was a "hard gainer" . When I was 16 in high school I was 6ft 1 and weigh 120 lbs with clothes on. In 25 now, and im 185 lbs. It all came down to good nutrition and exercise. Everything Jeff is saying is right. I'm hopping to touch 190-195 this summer.
for each egg you add 3 spoons of cassava flour or any other flour you like, right now my breakfast is 4 eggs and 12 of them. Throw in some milk or some water so you can mix it and it does not come out sucking so much throw in some spices and you are good repeat this meal more than once in the day if you need
Adam Kelleher it's true, when your body is being fed good quality food you have more energy and your body has all it needs so it can focus on getting ripped
Ryan Bradshaw We all handle foods differently there's no universal standard, any hard gainer will tell you crap can work as long as you get the nutrition dialled in. I used weight gainers and i put on loads of muscle yes fat too (not much) but i still put massive gains on. Im sorry but as a guy who has done it i can say weight gainers and burgers do work ! Jeffs not being sincere about how much crap he ate. Jeff has been a total clean eater mainly since the start.
Thank you very much Jeff for your advice. I am 17 and by eating right I gained about 10lbs of muscle in 9 months. That may seem had to believe, but my body is better than ever. You are the best non BS channel out there, and I love watching your videos. Keep up the great work!
This has got to be one of the only factual places I can go on RUclips for this information, there's so many dudes with big muscles that just throw out so much crap. Thank you man. I was worried that I wasn't going to be able to get enough calories to start building, but the way you put it makes things so much clearer: Focus on getting a quality meal plan first, then move on to scaling up. This is exactly what I'm going to do. I've already began the first part, as I used to be a huge junk food addict, but I've since then gotten so much more control over my eating habits- resisting junk and all that- and have gotten over many barriers that made me such a picky eater. I plan on checking your exercise program and plenty of your other videos. Thanks!
"But potatoes are technically vegetables..." :D Make all the excuses you want... You KNOW it's shit... You KNOW you know it! :D Everybody does, they are just looking for excuses or they simply don't care... :D
Hey Athlean-X, I have been watching your videos a lot, I started to do so after I had overcome two drug addictions, one being on white and second being on meth. I was around 115 pounds when I cut off the drugs completely. It's been a year and a half I am clean and I have been consistently watching your videos and going to the gym. Your tips are incredibly useful and I don't even need a personal coach or anything. I have learned a lot about body and how it functions, about nutrition system and how important it is. Since the end of my addictions, I have managed to gain over 60 pounds. I am now 175 pounds consuming over 130 Gs of protein and going to the gym 6 days a week. I feel the greatest I have ever felt. So, here I am sincerely expressing my deepest gratitude to you and your team for lifting people like me, for guiding people like me and many others, for providing useful and most importantly applicable and unbiased information. Thank you man! I am sure there are millions of others who are just like me that are watching your videos and some are struggling, some are learning, some are mastering, some are just enjoying watching your videos. BRAVO!
I'm 6'2 eating around 2800 calories a day of health foods such as; white rice, chicken breast, mixed vegetables, eggs, peanutbutter, oats, lentals, tuna, spinach, salmon... its honestly a good way to try different health foods you never thought you would have eaten before. Soon gonna add to this list with more healthy foods
'Just make sure to come back here and leave me a little thank you note'... THANK YOU, Jeff.. I've gained some muscle and it hasn't been much yet, but it's the only muscle I've ever gained and it's thanks to following your advice. Thanks for blessing so many people with your science and experiences with every new video!

Thank you Jeff. I am very much a hard gainer when I started at 5'7" 127lbs. I have been challenging myself to work out on my own and discovering your channel was when things really started to click for me in disciplining myself to retain a good workout schedule and nutrition plan. Your story hits home with me and I am so happy I invested my time into your channel. Your tips and explanations are on point and easy to follow with all the hard facts I love to learn in each video. I recently invested into the Athlean-X workout program as well as picking up the protein Athlean Pro 30g bag. My outlook on life has been changing so much more for the positive, and my wife has been tremendously supportive of this transition.
This was exactly what i need now, since 3 weeks ive been eating quality foods for the first time in my life, was a real sugar lover couldnt get without. For the last 3 weeks ive ditched all the sugars and made a habit of eating the good carbs. Found my body was lost because of the big change in diet and lost a lot of weight because of it (after i gained it first) but this video from 8 years ago gives me the confidence that im doing the right thing, just have to stick with it. Big fan, been watching most of your videos
I can’t Thankyou enough I’ve been chilling around 120 pounds for over 4 years and just finally this week I made it to 127 pounds I’ve been struggling with weight gain for too long but thanks to your motivating words I’m on a mission my friend 🤛🤙
HELLO THERE he got big in size and gained muscle yes, but he’s not strong at all compared to his size and weight.. he put on so much fat on his face it’s literally round..
To the two idiots above making fun of the guy. If he's saying the truth he's a lot higher place than you both because he's not only done his bit, you lowered your own value going after a guy that's stepping up in his life
@@amartyapandit I understand where you are coming from, but they are right. It's pretty much impossible to gain more than 12 ibs of muscle without steroids. Even 17 with steroids might be pushing it. I respect his hard work but his information is a bit misleading
@@rock98340 If you know Jesse from here you'd know he gained 20 lbs in 15 months. There's an entire video about it it's definitely possible to gain around 16-17 lbs in one year then. I'm not going to be the guy's advocate for no reason but I don't like people getting pushed around if they work hard.
you didn't mention the most important thing even before quality food, it's sleep quality, with social media and all this shit that keeps us awake like anxiety or stress, you can go to the gym and still stay up late at night. At least i know that's the main cause in my case for being skinny, so try to stress less and sleep well at night, then do what this video tells you and you'll see how your gains will increase!!
This help me a lot i was 6.1 feet and only weighed 110lbs really really underweight then I started to eat a bunch of shit and nothing was happening but getting bodyfat and no muscles gains, so I started training harder less long and eating more calories but good carbs high protein, so I got up to 140lbs what I am currently now, by eating more complex carbs in the morning, then high protein during the day, and cutting back on high-low carb fats. in only 4 months I have made 30lbs of good masse and I believe most of it is pure muscle! thx Coach!
Faze Eugene it is possible, but most of it is most likely fat. A natty can probably gain 1-2 pounds of lean muscle mass in a month. If he did train his hardest and kept his body fat low it still wouldn’t possible to gain that much in 4 months.
TaxemicHail its possible with smart training progression, high protein at 110lbs you don't need to eat much to gain muscle he prob got 120g protein and 750 cal surplus also if you are mostly muscle you have faster metabolism
I agree Earlier I was skinny, and was advised to increase my calories intake So after having had my normal meals, I would go out for a burger or dessert, thinking that it will help reach my calorie target now 2 years later, I have stopped eating junk food, and increased protein intake, and I have become so much better shape
I'm 5"10 and weighs 59 kilos, no matter how I eat or work out in the gym, I don't gain weight. In fact, my weight only revolves around 57-60 kilos. But going to the gym made me look ripped day by day and increasing my meals made me gain a little bit of muscle. Thanks for the advice, I'm kind of getting a little bit downhearted because of my slow progress, but hey, there are no shortcuts in life. I'll continue my routine and see what will happen, man.
Joshua Russel i am 5'8" i used to workout last year and in 2 months i got to 62kg from 59kg. The key is nutrition, normally i eat 3 meals with 1 egg and 2 bread slice in breakfast but when i exercised i increased to 4 meals having 2 breakfasts as i did workout early morning, and during workout days added protein shake as well. That worked for me until i lost motivation and went back to my boring life and ended up losing more weight then i had gained, now i am starting again from 57 kilos.
Stark V hey I have trained for a month now and my diet consists of this. 1. Oatmeal and 2 eggs in the morning 2. Some bread with toppings and maybe a fruit at school 3. After my workout I eat 2 eggs again and some bread as well 4. Eat whatever my moms making for dinner 5. Drinking my protein shake by the evening Do you think I can gain muscle that way or should I eat more?
Mate, I was like that at your age. I weighed 105 pounds and had no muscle. I am now 16 and weigh 138 pounds and have toned abs and a decent physique. you'll get there, just don't give up!
1:50 Jeff.exe stopped working. Jokes aside, I love you man. Every single video in your channel is a powerpunch of truth and dedication to what you do. That's why I stepped aside from bullshit. You're the real deal.
Even after 6 years of this content, today after 3 moths since I've watched the video, I'm here to thank Jeff... Man this thing really worked! And what, I gained some quality muscles even in the middle of the pandemic working out at home and eating quality food! Thanks for always being on my side whenever I had any fitness related doubts. Thank you so much! 😘😘😘
Hola, Hope you see some good results. I never see many people from Uruguay on youtube - I was born in Paysandu myself. And I am skinny as well. We are on a quest now!
This vid is so right on. I went from 142lbs to 178lbs all muscle in just 7 months. I'm an ectomorph and followed this advice (although this program wasn't out when I did my work so I'd recommend gettin' this Team Athlean program so you have all your information in one place). Outstanding video.
June will be 2 years since I’ve had a cookie or a piece of candy or any sweet or junk foods. Not a single piece of cake or a donut or or chips or even crackers. I was heavily addicted to candy and sweets my entire life
Same here and I've been doing it for awhile now and feel that I go on higher killstreaks if I workout before gaming. And also I don't rage quit as much which used to be a problem of mine.
Keep going man! You'll get there! However, if you really are looked down at your job and your not feeling happy there, then you should re-evaluate if you should stay there.
Best advise I ever got was to make sure you have the right fuel in your body before you train. If you're training after work and the last meal you had was lunch 4-5 hours before you're at the gym you're burning your gains.
Jeff its so good to hear a professional talk about the quality of food. I know many people who eat so much crap and they gain nothing but still believe that eating crap will help. Im 17 and i am lean bulking for to gain 12kg in a year and so far ive hit 5kg in 5 months. The progress is sweet and im not much fatter but way more muscular due to the good food i eat. Oatmeal and eggs are foods i have daily and have really helped me throughout my progress. I agree with what u say and that is a big reason why i believe dirty bulking is bs and a waste of time. Why put on so much excess fat with barely a promise of putting on good muscle and when cutting season comes your gonna have to shed 15 kgs of body fat only to lose 2kg of muscle with it because the process took so long and was so ineffective. Anyway, thanks for the vid u know your stuff. What a fucking legend
I have finally gained some weight. I am now 74 kg/180 cm (163 lbs/5"11). 2 months ago I was about 67-68 kg (147-150 lbs). It was mostly due to a change of diet. [Edit: most or at least around half of the weight is muscle gain.] Namely an increase in food intake, specifically protein. I used to be a vegetarian for about 10 years. When I started training I suddenly got a serious craving for animal fat and protein. So I quit the vegetarian crap. I've never felt better. I eat a lot of meat and fish. I base nearly all meals around this. And peanut butter, milk, eggs, potatoes, carrots, peas, broccoli, spinach, beans etc. Eat more, you guys. Just eat more, and eat animals.
When I listen it sounds so logical, but it all comes down to that someone actually has to TELL me it like this. Now I really have the idea and things to google. Thanks, Jeff
I’m ready to start eating better, feeling really motivated. I’m SUPER skinny. Like my whole life ppl have mentioned it. I’m gonna change that. I cut out chocolate completely recently. I know i can do this!
There are really no shortcuts. I think it's about setting gradual consistent goals that you feel comfortable with and slowly build up. I've been working out for about four months and I've lost 13 pounds but I've made some adjustments along the way by tweaking what works and what doesn't for me particularly. I've been implementing some of the things Jeff is recommending and I'm already starting to feel better. This is great. Keep on going consistently ladies and gentlemen! We'll reach our goals together!
I was built like asparagus until I started watching Jeff's videos 6 months ago. Thank you Jeff! Now when people ask how I changed so much I send them to this channel.
Here's a question. I eat junk food all the time (including the time I was typing this). But it's on top of good food. I eat steaks, proper roast chicken, pork chops etc. all as meals with junk food on top of that. How am I still so deprived of fat? I build muscle somewhat easily but I always hit this wall. There are so many machines at the gym which I can't use properly because, as far as I can tell, I'm too light. Instead of pushing or pulling the weight I just push myself off or myself into them.
+1248erik yeah, only do compound moves. the only machine you should use are cable machine (like woodchoppers, lat pulldowns, tricep pushdowns) or the mighty legpress.
When I was 16, I was about 183cm and weighed around 65kg. I was always considered skinny, and everyone teased me and laughed at me for my tiny body. I started working out and got to 70kg in about 10 months. I then stopped exercising almost completely for 2 and a half years. In that time, I grew to 189cm, but still weighed little over 70kg, and so on the 27th January, 2016, I decided that it was time to go back to gym and gain some weight, size, and strength. I watched one of Rich Piana's videos where he said, "If you want to get big, you have to eat big." So that's what I began to do. Starting gradually, I increased my meal proportions to 1.5x my previous meals sizes and added two full meals to my day, which each consist of four slices of bread with three scrambled eggs and two peanut butter sandwiches with two bananas and a glass of milk on the side. I eat various snacks and sandwiches throughout the day when I feel like. Doing this, I gained 5.7kg in 3 weeks and 3 days, but I promise that the first two weeks were very hard: I had to work as hard out of the gym on getting myself to eat as I was working in the gym when lifting weights. I am now 19, and I weigh 77kg. My goal is to get to 85kg by May, 2016.
Postermaestro No ways dude, I was leaner than I have ever been. The only time in my life that I ever had fat was when I was younger than two years old. xD
I think I'm a hard gainer. I used to be fat, but then I lost like 30 pounds. I don't know if my metabolism just shot through the roof or something, but I can eat a bunch of food without gaining weight. When I was losing weight I ate healthily, but now, not so much. So this video made sense to me.
Crazy how everyone is trying to lose weight I’ve been 115 ibs for the past year... just started getting back into the gym and eating chicken and rice, spinach, oatmeal, and protein shakes everyday for a week I’m at 117... gradual process gotta train the body to eat more though don’t get discouraged results won’t shine overnight 💯
@@scorzi10 I’m 5’9 got up to 120 now... just forcing myself to eat a lot and healthier. My metabolism is just very high so I fluctuate up and down pounds daily it’s bad... got down to 110 last week
This just popped up - I’ve been struggling for 2 years now with a belly and neck fat I gained from being roughly 67 kilos at 23 - I trained Thai boxing & played soccer most of my life. - I injured my knee at work & had to have my lateral meniscus stitched & meanwhile I couldn’t do my sports. So I turned to lifting - I always learned eat big get big & it was right... although it wasn’t the big I wanted. I got a belly & couldn’t shake it. - I did manage to get a big chest & big arms but a lot of body fat was gained & I realised I did it completely 100% wrong. To this day I’m now 96 kilos and 19% body fat... slowly getting back down but fuck if I could go back & see this video then.. haha. Thanks for your content I’ve seen tons of your videos and love everyone!
My weight gainer only has 15g of sugar per 300g carbs and 60g protein, love it! What it doesn't have is 6,000mgs of potassium 3lbs of potatoes for those same 300g of carbs will supply, one of the most underrated nutrients for building muscle. So yah real talk here from Jeff as usual. Bottom line is don't skim on whole foods!
Thank you Jeff, I started to listen to you in January/February 2019 when I got serious about getting fit. On January 2019 I was 126 pounds, today(December 2019) I am 157, your advice has been paramount to my success!
@@ElfPk3r I changed my diet first and foremost, as in completely revamp it. Counted calories and protein and ate very similar meals and similar times every day so it was easier to track. Went to the gym as well and did only resistance training with zero cardio as that just burns calories and would hurt my objectives.
i'm a fucking 135lb 6 foot tall 15 year old kid and i gotta say his arms look smaller than mine. eating junk food wont help your gains. as he said he was working out for like 2 hours every time he worked out at that point. he shoulda been a lot bigger. i work out bout an hour every time i use my schools gym but i do just do dips in my computer chair all throughout the day and also do some weird chest down dip for my chest and then dumbbell curl every now and then just because it makes me feel awesome
+ImHeadshotSniper if you are a hard gainer please don't listen to headshot. You want to lift heavy and get out of the gym in at least 30min. Don't work out for an hour and burn up all your calories.
There has been a lot of debate about this because it's not just about the calories as it is the macronutrients (protein, carbs, fat). Technically you can eat anything as long as you are getting the macro's during that day. However I think the quality matters a lot. Bodybuilders years ago got pure meats without any chemicals added and ask any one of them they will tell you todays meats are all shit. Everything is loaded with chemicals and fillers you are really just trying to find the best of the worst.
***** Literally everywhere does it now. All meat is genetically modified and shot up with steroids to be bigger. Salmon isn't pink since they feed them shit so they add food coloring to give it color.
***** Well you are lucky. Here in North America all the meat is on steroids. It's hard to find non steroid meats and if you do it's super expensive. Now we have all the GMO fruits and vegetables too. Impossible to get a truly organic meal without paying a crazy high price.
This helped a lot. I was 6'4" 165lbs and super lean, after many years of trying to eat crap I could not gain any. Now eating clean with high protein and proper carbs from rice and oats; working out heavy with major lifts instead of working out for hours a day, I have gained 10lbs so far in 1 month and am leaner than I was before (body fat % wise).

Jeff is the only trainer on youtube that i listen to :) innovative, honest and passionate about his job.
He's actually very funny.
yeah i know scooby, but i dont really like him, and i never liked scooby doo or whatever that anime is called :)
ahh oh well ok. Jeff has great accurate information....he's all anyone really needs!
I can't believe Elliott Hulse is not mentioned in this conversation
i was following him, but he just does too many videos for younger audience.
let me tell you this everyone out there.
Just eat a good mix of healthy foods. Vegetables, meats, eggs, fruit, some whole grain breads and stay away from processed foods, candy and limit alcohol. Train hard, sleep enough and eat right and be patient. The gains will come.
Screw alcohol just smoke weed if you need something it won't hurt your gains anywhere near as much
+Jacob Merriman he's correct
+Dylan Wyatt please explain and give me some evidence that weed is more harmful than alcohol and my mind will explode
+Dylan Wyatt oh wait I think I may have misread this we're you telling that guy that I'm right about weed being safer than alcohol??

honestly a great video. i know im a little late to the party but im 18 and had trouble putting on wieght. i was getting leaner from my workouts and nutrition but mass was difficult for me. i have begun truly eating only healthy mass gaining foods, chicken breast, egg, lean meats, oatmeal, organic nutbutters, spinach. cut the shit, cut the cakes. after 2 years of semi healthy eating and no mass gain, in the last 2 weeks alone i have put on my first 2KG in 2 years!! im hitting a 3000-4000cal diet of only the healthy stuff and it has made a huge difference. my gains are excellent and im excited for the future. i feel lucky to have discovered such an accurate and knowlegable PT online for free. keep doing good work jeff, saving lives i tell ya!
All I can say is keep trying and be consistent as possible and you'll get there.

for each egg you add 3 spoons of cassava flour or any other flour you like, right now my breakfast is 4 eggs and 12 of them. Throw in some milk or some water so you can mix it and it does not come out sucking so much
throw in some spices and you are good
repeat this meal more than once in the day if you need
I agree. Quality then quantity. Totally different from some advice I hear to just put down as much food as you can.
Bullshet
Jeff is tiny and wrong on this I'm afraid.

Exactly, sleep and STRESS are the most important. Cortisol kills gains so if you're stressed you won't be gaining shit. Then diet and training.

This help me a lot i was 6.1 feet and only weighed 110lbs really really underweight then I started to eat a bunch of shit and nothing was happening but getting bodyfat and no muscles gains, so I started training harder less long and eating more calories but good carbs high protein, so I got up to 140lbs what I am currently now, by eating more complex carbs in the morning, then high protein during the day, and cutting back on high-low carb fats. in only 4 months I have made 30lbs of good masse and I believe most of it is pure muscle! thx Coach!
Fitness Motivation ummm.... no one can do that in 4 months
TaxemicHail why not? Is it not possible to gain 30 pounds in 4 months or are most of those gains not muscle but fat?
Faze Eugene it is possible, but most of it is most likely fat. A natty can probably gain 1-2 pounds of lean muscle mass in a month. If he did train his hardest and kept his body fat low it still wouldn’t possible to gain that much in 4 months.
TaxemicHail its possible with smart training progression, high protein at 110lbs you don't need to eat much to gain muscle he prob got 120g protein and 750 cal surplus also if you are mostly muscle you have faster metabolism
Fitness Motivation good job keep at it
I agree
Earlier I was skinny, and was advised to increase my calories intake

Don't over do your work out take rest days, sleep at least 7 hours daily and increase your calorie count. Trust me you will gain weight. Good luck!

"shit in shit out" one of my favorite fitness motivation

I’m ready to start eating better, feeling really motivated. I’m SUPER skinny. Like my whole life ppl have mentioned it. I’m gonna change that. I cut out chocolate completely recently. I know i can do this!
How’s it going
Thanks Jeff, this video has helped me.
I was 128 Lbs, 23% BF
Now I’m 147 Lbs 16% BF
How tall are you? I recently gained a lot of weight in 3 months
Cheese Cake Salad Head rip
so true before you start training you should get your diet on check first even if it's just a couple of weeks before hand
I almost get teary-eyed on this. Thank you so much Jeff!
+George Holland nutritionfacts.org/
+George Holland you could try body weight, dumbell and barbell excercises. No need for machines at all
+1248erik yeah, only do compound moves. the only machine you should use are cable machine (like woodchoppers, lat pulldowns, tricep pushdowns) or the mighty legpress.
You probaly gained fat to
+Impredetor94 haha
ok
+Jan-David William Green holy shit, gaining weight that quickly is going to be mostly fat.
***** I got fat like 3 years ago. I literally did nothing all day and ate nothing but junk food. Now I don't gain weight no matter what I eat.
hardgainers are skinny
Joeyto Perez I'm skinny.
That attack on Titan though...
Watch out your test. levels.
You have really helped me man, thank you! The passion behind these videos feels like im sitting there with you.

"Right off the bat", haha :D
ACE_stealth251 [ACE] me and you both 😂😂😂😂
This just popped up - I’ve been struggling for 2 years now with a belly and neck fat I gained from being roughly 67 kilos at 23 - I trained Thai boxing & played soccer most of my life.
Thank you Jeff! Thank you for helping me to be a better version of myself.
Can you make a grocery list athlean x
It's all available in his programs.
@@CleanTeamSolutions is it free?
My weight gainer only has 15g of sugar per 300g carbs and 60g protein, love it! What it doesn't have is 6,000mgs of potassium 3lbs of potatoes for those same 300g of carbs will supply, one of the most underrated nutrients for building muscle. So yah real talk here from Jeff as usual. Bottom line is don't skim on whole foods!
Thank you Jeff, I started to listen to you in January/February 2019 when I got serious about getting fit.
On January 2019 I was 126 pounds, today(December 2019) I am 157, your advice has been paramount to my success!
what did you change??
@@ElfPk3r I changed my diet first and foremost, as in completely revamp it. Counted calories and protein and ate very similar meals and similar times every day so it was easier to track. Went to the gym as well and did only resistance training with zero cardio as that just burns calories and would hurt my objectives.
2:50 cmon man that's not really skinny
+Sanchez9531 yeah, i thought the same
Yeah he was average
i'm a fucking 135lb 6 foot tall 15 year old kid and i gotta say his arms look smaller than mine. eating junk food wont help your gains. as he said he was working out for like 2 hours every time he worked out at that point. he shoulda been a lot bigger. i work out bout an hour every time i use my schools gym but i do just do dips in my computer chair all throughout the day and also do some weird chest down dip for my chest and then dumbbell curl every now and then just because it makes me feel awesome
+yellowfish yeah he's not thay skinny
+ImHeadshotSniper if you are a hard gainer please don't listen to headshot. You want to lift heavy and get out of the gym in at least 30min. Don't work out for an hour and burn up all your calories.
thanks for this jeff, i’ll start eating foods with good nutrition.💪🏼💪🏼💪🏼💪🏼
Jeff is that awesome coach we lost in high school. But knows much more.
And physically proves it.
I'm a hardgainer and I have been small my whole life I'm currently 5'5 and weigh 125 pounds I have started eating right and doing compound exercises
Vanilla Splash You weigh more than me but you’re shorter
Yo this vid is the damn best video I’ve ever freaking seen. It have helped me soooo much
There has been a lot of debate about this because it's not just about the calories as it is the macronutrients (protein, carbs, fat).
There is no debate. If you fuck up with your hormones you're fucked for good. One junk food meal can fuck you up no matter what.
Jeremy Jahns hit the weights I see!
Lol.
I actually just had a tic-tac and 3 ice cubes earlier...
...orange tic-tac though. #quality>quantity
Tsar Kasm this was fire
You had me at "Dunkin Donuts"
Same 😄
Someone more here to learn how to leave to be skinny, AND improving english ? These Subtitles help a lot, I Listen and I read to understand how is the right pronunciation, amazing channel !
I wish I has someone like Jeff around me when I was a teen. I was a hard gainer.
