If you do too little damage, he uses down shot + cruel attack If you use buffs, he sinful shell’s If you do too much damage, he gets extra turns to instakill you no matter what HE sets the pace of the battle, NOT YOU!
Still figuring out how the fight works (I can't since I don't have the game at all), but in this scenario is more likely that having a resistance to the cruel attack on Aegis caused an unwritten rule violation of having a null affinity for that attack, usually having a null/absorb/repel affinity on the main character is a cause to make the super boss go bonkers with their most powerful attack to 1-hit KO everyone, but as I said, they're still figuring out the in's and out's of the battle so everyone can find a way to cheese Joker in the same way that has happened with the likes of Demi-Fiend in both versions of SMTV.

Its probably an oversight in Joker's AI. Hes meant to summon Arsene to cast Will of Rebellion, but on a Sinful Shell trigger, his AI probably forces Satanael to be his persona.

Can't wait people start creating way of how defeat joker without using persona, solo and underlevel, not using dyne type of spells, only dealing damage he resistant of, only using the low level persona.

We need P6 to have a Superboss that has Makoto, Yu and Ren all at the same time. Your team of Four vs the Three MC's. If that would be too much, then have them act like a tag-team and they swap out periodically so you go from Makoto to Yu, then to Ren, ect. Watching this video closely i realize why joker instakilled the party, it wasnt because u did a lot of dmg, it was because u blocked the pierce attack (a untold rule in these superbosses fights is that u cant block/drain/repel boss attacks or they'll instakill u)

You need to figure out the rules when he use Sinful Shell in his next turn. Anything you do but he doesn't do Sinful Shell in his turn means you don't violate anything. In this video the most make sense theory is using Theurgy if you down him by Crit.
So upon seeing this again, my guess is that it's not that you threw a whole road roller's worth of damage his way, but the fact that you did block his Cruel Attack. And if this clown is just Elizabeth with MORE hidden rules, then blocking, repelling, and absorbing an attack results in the script to be thrown out the window and going for the one shot spam
Blocking the Cruel attack is fine. From what I've gathered is that you have to do a certain amount of damage during certain turns. You also can't do a significant amount else he will insta kill

The down shot and cruel attack are apart of the fight. You can tank the hit or negate it depending if your persona has null pierce. Will of Rebellion is also part of the fight however if he uses it and Santanael is shown then its GG. If Arsene shows then the fight will continue

One being where he decides to instantly kill you and the party for dealing too much damage too quickly and the other is where you did enough damage and didn't do it too fast?
You might need to change the video title or make a pinned comment on this. 2:40 The reason Joker uses Sinful shell on you is that you blocked his Cruel attack @ 0:26. Null, Repel, or Reflecting any attack as Aigis will guarantee Sinful Shell spam the next turn. There are some other sneaky conditions that will trigger Sinful Shell as well (e.g. other ppl mentioning having charge/concentrate before Joker's 1st turn), but this is one of the reasons why you got wiped in this video (likely the Null Phys ability you had on Messiah during the Cruel attack block).
How do you even fight him? Do you need to complete certain requests like you need to do for the Elizabeth fight or does the fight automatically unlock as you progress the story?

Blocking the Cruel attack is fine. From what I've gathered is that you have to do a certain amount of damage during certain turns. You also can't do a significant amount else he will insta kill

Does he Down Shot and Cruel Attack if you don't do enough damage? Could the Will of Rebellion into Sinful Shell Spam be punishment for nullifying the above combo in particular?
The down shot and cruel attack are apart of the fight. You can tank the hit or negate it depending if your persona has null pierce. Will of Rebellion is also part of the fight however if he uses it and Santanael is shown then its GG. If Arsene shows then the fight will continue
@@CGInferno So what you are saying is that there's two scripted moments depending when he reaches the damage threshold for when Will of Rebellion activates? One being where he decides to instantly kill you and the party for dealing too much damage too quickly and the other is where you did enough damage and didn't do it too fast?

2:40 The reason Joker uses Sinful shell on you is that you blocked his Cruel attack @ 0:26.
Null, Repel, or Reflecting any attack as Aigis will guarantee Sinful Shell spam the next turn. There are some other sneaky conditions that will trigger Sinful Shell as well (e.g. other ppl mentioning having charge/concentrate before Joker's 1st turn), but this is one of the reasons why you got wiped in this video (likely the Null Phys ability you had on Messiah during the Cruel attack block).
How do you even fight him? Do you need to complete certain requests like you need to do for the Elizabeth fight or does the fight automatically unlock as you progress the story?
Need to do her requests. Not sure which one triggers it as it spawned when going to the final door at the end of the game

I think it’s bc u blocked his cruel attack. You have to have enduring soul and endure for this fight and you can’t block certain attacks like Elizabeth fight

I believe it was heavily hinted that Cereberus is his second awakening as he had went through a metamorphosis prior to joining. Meaning that Koromaru is technically the only character in the series to join with their second tier persona right off the bat..... I think.
