this is gorgeous. the way i desperately want to love and protect Curly for being just as much of a victim of Jimmy's gaslighting as the others, perhaps even the *longest* victim of his lies, but also not wanting to excuse his inaction in regards to Anya 💀 this game is a masterpiece of making you actually think critically about the nuances of morality.

Cause he was in a VERY bad situation, like Jimmy tried to kill all of them after Anya told him she was pregnant, so I feel like he was just trying to keep the peace at the time until they could get some kind of help from people outside of the ship, especially with Jimmy being able to control the ship seeing as he was the co-pilot. I don’t think Curly was just trying to brush it off, seeing as he seemed to care for his crew a lot, though that’s honestly no excuse (I should know, I was also assaulted when I was 8, but no one cared).

First off, beautiful animatic! ^^ Also I would like to share lightly (I think) unpopular opinions about this game I feel like these characters are often misunderstood. There a nuances often completely missed in each characters writing. The other day I watched something talking about jimmy being irredeemable, and only a character there to be horrible. I think this, and Anya’s character and how she feels is often misunderstood. Jimmy is a horrible man, true. But he isn’t without a guilty conscience. He knows what he has done and his decent into insanity is his way of refusing to face this guilt. And Anya (poor girl) I get the feeling, while she is scared and hurt by jimmy and what he did to her, that she also has respect for him as a person (after the crash) and partially because he the authority figure atm but also I think deep down she WANTS to believe that he won’t hurt her or do anything horrible to her but before the crash we see she is obviously worried about jimmy hurting her. I think both characters are conflicted because one is too sweet (we love Anya) and the other is too full of himself If you made it this far congrats. Thanks for coming to my ted talk I guess. :)
Omg i never thought about the possibility of jimpajampa feeding curly to himself. Even more disturbing than eating curly himself but it actually seems more in character. It's my headcannon now, thank you. Edit: Hahaa turns out I just didn't play the entire game at that point and didn't know that this exact thing is literally in the game---
