Will you spend $15000 to by one? Спорт
Anyone who says these aren't worth 15k is insane. Good luck trying to find panos for cheaper!
Thanks
What gen in comparison is my question?
Yes, we mean gen 2+ with resolution 64 lp/mm.
15000 just for the housing???????
naah housings are about $3000 plus importer and dealer markup, plus 3k per tube. Better hope you have something left for a COTI. Still its better than the 40K that you'll pay for an L3H or photonis pano unit
@@Vrilltrooper-of-sillymaxxia @Grey Job The last housing they made was like 4k, but the wording on the video seemed it to be the price of the unit because up until now they sold the new housing fully built with tubes. For me it will be close to 20k with high end Photonis ECHO tubes incl. taxes and shipping (I don't live in the US). A pretty good choice considering that a gen 3 wp pvs14 here is like 9k give or take. Literally had to get permission to import nv here. I'll prob buy Jerry C5 with that as well.
Make a new friend with a 3D printer and you’ll cut your costs dramatically.
@@KyleKalevra That's not happening dude
@@DjAlonDevil Any chance of getting info on how you went about acquiring those tubes? I don't live in the US either. Cheers.
15,000 yuan?
15,000 US Dollar🙂
Personally, I’d rather buy 2 sets of thermals and about 20,000 rounds of 5.56 with that $15k…
In the new age of inexpensive, high quality thermals, attempting to market $15k NVG is kinda insane. If you want to make money maybe start looking at making products that more people can afford.
Good luck navigating with a thermal on your head or gun. NVG is expensive and will stay that way as long as we use tube technology, eather you pay the price or you stay blind at night.
@@sgtmett6946 within the next couple years I do believe digital NV will catch up with tubes and drop significantly in price. Maybe them. For my situation I’m not too worried about navigation, but I do understand your point. For me and my needs thermals are great.
One pro I think thermals have over tubes, if you have to use IR Illumination to see and aim, and you foe has NV as well, aren’t your lights and lasers showing them exactly where you are?
It gets worse for tubes. There are portions of the IR spectrum that most tube specs say they do not cover that some digital NV gear does. So this means one could, in theory (I’ve not tried this yet), purchase lasers or ‘illuminators’ that shine in those missing parts of the spectrum and see both your IR and theirs, and you can’t see them.
I’m not harping on tubes. They absolutely have their uses and advantages at the moment and I certainly would not turn down even a monocular if I could find one for a reasonable price, but that’s probably not going to happen. Reasonably priced and NV are two things rarely discussed in the same room much less in the same sentence, unless the word ‘Not’ precedes the other two statements.
Every system has its weakness and tubes are far enough away from perfect that I’m not willing to drink the Kool Aid and throw that kind of money on something I think will be obsolete within the next 5 years.
Absolute moronic and poor take
Can’t wait for you to find out how much the L3Harris GPNVG tubes sell for.
NO, NOT WORTH $15,000!
absolutely not worth 15k
With these tubes? Maybe not but housing with Elbit or L3? Of course :)
I'd buy them. They're good nods.
