The next video about the Wooting will be Squashy swapping out the case to a Tofu60 with GMK keycaps and lubed switches with foam in every crevasse of the board to achieve that generic thock. I just know it!
there are actually a bunch more graphics below the switches and they are each from a founder that bought the signature edition, so yea some bloke put 727 on it
Wooting wooted their way into the tech world with their innovative keyboards. They became the go-to brand for anyone in need of a new keyboard, wooting their way to the top. Join the wootin' revolution with Wooting.
SteelSeries has had hall effect sensors in their OmniPoint switches for a while now on their Apex Pro keyboards. Though I don't think they have the extra features like analog inputs, they do allow you to set key press depth and have similar response times, which have made them one of the top choice for pro gamers.
wooting has also had full size keyboards using these switches for about the same time as steelseries. hall effect switches are not new technology either. there are keyboards that had these since the 90s.
LMAO hahaha great video I also bought this broken keyboard and it's very good! One very underrated thing that you forgot to mention is that you can run the software on a browser, change your settings, close the website and you're good to go. No need to install anything. The switches are very smooth because they are contactless and I liked the stabs as well. But your point is true, with my skill level, hard to tell the difference, I'm an average gamer in a good day hahah But the keyboard is really good, smooth, customizable, no junk software and clean :) I hope they make a (new) TKL version :D
This keyboard actually helps with super glide mechanic in Apex Legends. Not necessarily a broken movement mechanic but definitely throws people off in gun fights
Wooting did this before Steelseries. There's also Wooting Lekker and Wooting Two. Might wanna look into when they started working on hall effect switches
I’d love to have a 75% of this. 60 is too small for me and tkl has too much space in between the arrow keys, function row, and main keys for me. Wooting missing out on a lot of potential sales
5:49 I am really happy you mentioned Adofai, it's not a very popular game, but the skill peak possible in the game is unbelievably huge! This keyboard's rapid trigger function can be really overpowered and I would say it Is actually cheating D: The game has 2 main playstyles: Rolling - where you use more keys (4-8, sometimes even 12 or 16) clicking slowly and accurately on fast patterns, and Indexing - where you use less keys (usually 2), clicking as fast as possible, which needs much less accuracy but takes a lot of stamina. With this keyboard, Indexing playstyle makes the game insanely easy, since you don't need much accuracy, and it takes much less stamina. I would consider it as a "auto clicker" but for adofai (as well as other rhythm games). I hope the keyboard won't destroy the balance of the game, I am afraid that less talented people are gonna get more attention for their "skill" using this board, than actually talented people who use normal keyboards 😒😕 Anyways, great video as always Squashy!
I'm mostly interested in the analog aspect. I am huge dark souls fan I have beaten the game on kb+m and controller multiple times. On kb+m I find myself struggling to move in for back stabs, while on controller I can't menu and swap as fast, so I feel like for souls games this could be really good as well.
Cool but im just thinking not sure but joysticks on controllers use hall sensors and they get stick drift over time so what if there is key drift ??? it might like ghost actuate or something
Okay so basically the ONLY reason this keyboard is "SO much different" and "packed with technology" is because of the switches? Yeah that's cool and all but there's more to a keyboard than just the switches. I'm not convinced. Put those switches in a board with dampening foams, PBT keycaps, wireless tech, lubed switches, media keys/a small screen etc. etc. and we'll talk. The just announced Asus ROG Azoth is going a long way in the right direction, combine that with these switches.
another thing you didnt mention is you can use this keyboard like a virtual piano/midi device. it can tell how fast a key is being pressed down based on the input level over time to create pretty realistic sound
@@g76agi Yes but they only allow either the analog input from the controller or keyboard controls. Fortnite is the only game I know that allows you to do both at the same time.

It is unfortunate that big companies always steal really good ideas from smaller experimental product projects like these. The WOOTING 60HE and a Third Party Nintendo Switch Controller called the King Kong 2 Pro are going to be copied by the huge corporations that will remarket these features and pretend that they came up with the idea in the first place. Its like how every smartphone company stole all of LGs ideas and pretended that they never existed. I think gaming peripherals are the next controversial event in techlogical device feature theft.
Yeah well competition is always good and I think it's gonna take a while for big companies to catch up. It would be nice if features like rapid trigger got mass adopted so more people realistically had access to them
