      heydude76 It was a grand adventure to say the least.. But well worth it when the truck was done.\I will have new series coming up soon, on re-plastering my pool. With me, myself and I on the team.

    10 ft.pnds of torque seems like a heck of a lot for a stamped steel valve cover. Normally you just snug them up with a nut driver-nothing more. I bet that's why those engines leak so much from there. I just bought cast aluminum covers for my old '85 F250 with the hope that the more rigid part seals better, as they did when I got those my Chevrolets I've had previously.

    I like the polished metal on top of the dull gray iron cast. I know this is going oto raise some eyebrows but i am not going to paint the engine block. I did put a high temp clear coat on the valve covers though. Time will tell if its good dicision
