No. You don't know how the system works. Solar power is not independent. It is tied into and connected to the KSEB grid. The power produced by the solar panels when there is sunlight is directly fed into KSEB grid after converting it into Alternating Current by an invertor. It is constantly feeding the KSEB grid when there is sunlight. The owner of the solar panels gets credited for the amount of electricity produced. But when a car/cars comes to charge at the station, they take electricity from the KSEB grid. Now that is debited from the Solar Panel owners account. Without this system, you will be able to use the charge points only when there is sunlight. With the support of KSEB Grid (and KSEB), charging can be done anytime of the day or night! Hence KSEB charges the Rupees 8000. It is very reasonable charge in my opinion.

@@klengineer6776if panels are IP 20 , then usually fitting too are of same rating and no use of higher rating fixtures. They could have even gone for temperature class (t6) & ex d flameproof etc too but if electricity rules doesn't specify then usually we go with minm cost.

That's what I have raise a concern. I have done design works for around 400 EV chargers. We have used the IP rated sockets where the Charger is exposed.

If I assume 15rs per unit and around 250units daily sale, yearly income comes only around 13.7Lakhs. Spending 75 lakhs as an initial investment is this return enough? Or am I doing some wrong calculation?
That's why he is also investing in related businesses, such as resting areas , washrooms , restaurants, and rooms . So even if the charging stations don't meet the necessary profit he can still make revenue through other businesses. And it's not a no brainer at all . 😊😊

Solar power is not independent. It is tied into and connected to the KSEB grid. Without this system, you will be able to use the charge points only when there is sunlight. With the support of KSEB Grid (and KSEB), charging can be done anytime of the day or night! Hence KSEB charges the Rupees 8000. It is very reasonable charge in my opinion.
