Middle mouse button is also handy to scroll through all the sculpting brushes rather than trying to click on the scroll bar.

I haven't watched one of your videos in ages. Neat trick, while I haven't actually used my wacom intuos 3 (yes something like 20 years old now, although I may have gotten it around 2007 or so) also in ages, good to know, I will probably definitely use this hack.

I ended up getting an add-on for Blender called Mouse Look Navigation. It makes your screen in blender work like Z-brush, so no need for the middle mouse button. So my first button is shift for smoothing and 2nd is alt.

This add on acting a little weird on my computer with display tablet. I need to turn off "emulate 3 button mouse" for it to works. And, i also face problem of Grab brush not working on model after a a few move clay operation.i think it has something to do with zbuffer setting in the add-on

I'm right handed for the mouse and left handed when drawing with a pen😅, does this change anything in the settings?

      Amazing!!!
Really, I never expect to read this.
      But makes sense.
The thing is that the Society put assumptions in our heads and make us assuming things.
For example: if I write with my right hand then we can assume that I use the fork in the left hand and the knife in the right hand.
But nothing means that you can't have a person that writes with the right hand and then I use the fork in the left hand and the knife in the right hand.

@@carlosrocha2977 I can add another thing that may amaze you even more...
When I write on something that is on a table I use my left hand
When I write on something that is on a wall like a blackboard's classroom I use my right hand..
The only logical explanation that I found for this confusion is that my left hand need to be pressed on the surface that am writing on in order to write, while my right hand can write freely and doesn't need to be pressed on the surface
I've always amazed my classmates with that😆

I would recommend using a (non-screen) graphics tablet even for most non-painting work or general computer use, anything that doesn't need pixel precision, just for the sake of ergonomics. If you have any issue with RSI or carpal tunnel and such a tablet pen is MUCH easier on the wrist than a mouse because your arm is in a more relaxed position.

Yes really, this and doing the "Taylor Swift pen grip" got rid of my wrist and hand pain related to long computer usage.

Really do appreciate this protip though! Thanks for the concise short vid.

      It's not clickbsit.
      It's a useful button.
      Most people use the
      alt key in their keyboard.
But, it's a drag to use keyboard\mouse a lot if using a tablet, until you have a pen monitor.

I used to like you and follow you, then you decided you weren't getting paid enough by youtube to make your videos and wanted to start selling your knowledge. Ok, that's fine. Then you went through and re edited your videos so that to understand them you would have to pay for the actual video. Well, this is the first video of yours I have looked at since, and I only clicked on it to make this comment.

Its actually the audience that's more the issue, if i want any views then the tutorial content does the worst and the edutainment style of timelapses and breakdowns does better. So I am trying to give people what they want. I still offer lots of free tutorials such as my animation series i recently did but you probably didn't see it because the views were really low compared to the other stuff.

@@grabbittDo what ever you think is best, no need to justify yourself, You did a lot for us beginners anyway. 5 years ago I tried to learn 3D art and everything even the blender interface was intimidating, I needed something that can help me start with the basics, I was so close to say:"I gave it my best shot... but that's not for me😞", A year later I found You, I've learned so much from the low poly well, the low poly barrel tutorial, the god.of.war axe, man those videos really boosted me climbing mountains of knowledge and leaving the darkness of ignorance that I was in.
And now after for years I went from a discouraged beginner to an App&Game Dev!!
Sometimes people like you Grant Abbit hardly understand how impactful, how life changing your content can be to this world.
Still watching your videos from time to time and liking them coz there is always some knowledge to harvest
Thank you Grant Abbit for everything you have done for us🫂
