Looks good, but personally I find this much light disturbing. As a demo is ok, but I dont think you can play or watch movies with so much light arround you and enjoy it in the same time.
When done a little more subtle than this - no visible lights shining directly in your face - it'd amazing!
My whole living room is immersed where the walls acts like an extended canvas which makes dark scenes really immersive and actually visible (think Harry Potter), but I have turned down the intensity of the lights so that quick flashes (spells in Harry Potter) doesn't blind you...
Recently re-playing elden ring and dungeons are amazing this way!
A single strip behind the tv would look good, but all the lamps in the room also having it is annoying.
I agree. I have set the effects to the slowest setting. Otherwise it's not enjoyable for daily use. Now it looks more like a big lava lamp in the whole room. I like it
Need to make brightness a little bit less for sure
Looks great
Very elegant looking apartment. And of course the lights brings an ambiance feel to the room! Even though I'm in the Philips Hue ecosystem and I've got lights all over the place, iam a little hesitant going with a sync box. Just think it might be a little too distracting 🤔
While watching a Drama Genre TV or Movie it is a distraction. While watching action, animation and all most all other genres, it is fun. Recently watched Wednesday, it was fun with it.
@@mughalische thank you.. appreciate your honesty. Shows character!
@@mughalische how about sports
Two days ago, I watched this video and ordered 25 Hue products.
Yesterday, I bought the Philips 85PUS8808 television.
When I got home, I learned that starting from 2023, the Ambilight+Hue integration has been removed from Philips TVs. I’ve never seen something so absurd. This is the sole reason I bought this television.
I have to return everything I bought tomorrow.
This is very new news to me. Are you sure. Doesn't your TV connect with Hue Bridge?
@@mughalische Today, I contacted Philips because I couldn't believe such news. They confirmed that only 2022 models support it, and from 2023 onwards, it has been completely removed and will not be coming back.
I spent the entire day researching 2022 leftover televisions in technology stores. However, only OLED TVs seem to be available. I think I won't be able to find one.
I was just checking with Philips this is their message:
This model does not support the Ambilight+HUE function, so Hue Bridge is useless.
To sync your HUE bulbs to your TV, you will need a SyncBox.
Sad to hear about your purchase. I would still recommend just replacing the TV Model if you can.
@@mughalische Today, I went to the place where I bought the TV and requested a refund. I found a 2022 model TV at another store. If they accept the return, I can get a 75” 2022 TV. The size will be smaller, and it will be a bit more expensive, but I think it’ll be worth it for the hue.
@@mughalische I’ve finally set up my system. I have a few questions for you. Which movie is this, and how is your Hue configuration?
A link to the lampshades maybe? They look beautiful
I might get two more hue lights for entertainment center.
They worth it. Get them
Beautiful effects, but in the long run quite annoying and somehow not a "must have".
Am again away from the Philips TV, since I was more important picture quality and ease of use
i have 3 lamps pained with my philips 55oled707 tv but unfortunately at the dark scenes where ambilight is off the lamps still glows a bit. unfortunately this is not a bug but a feature of the system.i suspect that they did to warranty reasons to last longer the lamps.
What ambilight settings are you using on your TV? (Like; Standard, Natural, Sport) I've got a similar setup, but my bulbs are a little bit 'slow' in changing lighting in comparison with the TV.
And did you connect the bulbs to the TV through the official HUE app? I also do own the bridge, although I'm not sure if it's a V1 or V2 (I believe I connected them through a third party app, because I didn't see another possibility)
Hey, I used official Philips "Hue" app for connecting and setting up bulbs. I am using Hue Bridge v2, and it connects with my Philips Ambilight TV. I see no delays. And bulbs are 1100 lumens.
Nice setup! Are the 2 candle lights on the table LED lights? Where did you get these from?
those are scented candles, you can get form any shop.
It can’t more immersive than that 😂
Very good. The candle shouldn't be there. It spoils the image. It doesn't belong there.
absolutely gorgeous
Hello!!! I liked your video blog. Thank you very much
Where's the audio coming from? It sounds too beefy to just be the TV
Wow nice bro ! Excellent video !
Hey what that ligts? They have Bluetooth or Wi-Fi connection to the TV ? Please identify me ? I am from Turkey and amazing environment. I love it. Please bro I want it same
Good for a bar or public display.
Buuuhh!!! The candlelight isn't synchronized. 5/10
LOL
This is so freaking cool!
Looks nice! I would however lower the brightness personally :)
I keep playing. But yes I agree with you
Thanks for the video. I've been wondering if the stand alone bulbs worked with Philips Sync.
Bulbs work with Philips Hue Bridge through ZigBee Technology. Hue sync connects with Hue Bridge.
Celui qui a ce salon avec toutes ces couleurs aura des maux d’yeux.
I would like to know how do you integrate your tv ambilight + philips hue lights? Because i have a 55' tv but i doesnt say how to pare it.
Spend more money.
how expensive is a setup like this
Basically depends what TV you get. The bulbs are usually around £35 each and the bridge could be around £50. Everything apart from the TV would be under £200. The TV though could range from £400 to £4000 depending on size and quality.
Looks great! I bought a Philips Ambilight TV a few days, but in the Ambilight menu, doesn’t show the Ambilight extension option. Should I need the Philips bridge first? And then the tv scan it the bridge or something?
Yes you'll need the bridge, TV communicated to the bridge, and then Bridge manages the lights
This is a good answer my tv doesnt show the ambilight extension neither so... we only need the bridge right? We dont need to buy the sync?
A bit distracting when watching a movie but pretty nice.
😍😍😍😍
Do you need the philips hue sync box or the TV is enough? Because i bought the TV and i’m wondering if i can connect it to my philips hue bridge
You don't need sync box, if you tv already has ambilight, it can directly connect to hue bridge.
only at tv models until 2022
nice!!!!!!
That moment when ambilight was taken a bit too far 😂.
What hue bulbs are you using?? There's many different ones lol plus i can't wait till they make a bulb with full rgb with individual leds like the led strips or so it can display more then 1 color at once!! they gotta be bringing that to us soon gotta be!!
I am using Philips Hue Bulb, they are RGB and they can produce up to 16 million colors, and can range from 2000K-6500K for warm light. You can check more technical details on their website. Thanks for watching! Feel free for more question if you have any.

How far is your TV from the wall? Mine Philips The One 55" is recommended to sit about 10-20 cm (3.9 - 7.9 inches) from the wall to get the best effect, but because of my setup, I can get it coming out maximum only like 25 cm (10 inches). A bit bummed about that but at least it is still giving me amblilight effect, in a dark room still pretty effectively actually
My tv is like 10 feet away from viewing point.
@@mughalische But have you measured how far is your tv screen from the wall? For Philips 55" ambilight the recommended distance was that of 3.9 - 7.9 inches, I am just wondering is it the same for 65"
Hi, I loved the lamps. May I know where you bought it or where to find it? thank you.

How did u sync the ligh with the tv. Like left light turns red when something is red on the ledt of the tv?
Mjhe b aana hai yahan. 🙏
Which movie is it?
Thor Ragnarok
HOW TO GET THIS
How do you sync it up to do this?
I connect my Lights to TV with Philips Hue Bridge v2
@@mughalische do you need also the syncbox? or are enough bridge + ambience striplight?
@@LucaCornago I have Philips Amblight TV it connects directly to Hue Bridge via network. If you don't have philips ambilight TV, then you need a sync box. The sync box will out display to TV and will also sync lights. This means you will also need another TV to input Sync box like Google TV stick or Apple TV, or a gaming console as you like.
Sorry for asking. U don’t have a sync box?
@@MrRuifao When you have Philips Ambilight you don't need it
Current bill??? How much?
Well they're 1100lm bulbs. They are F on energy ratings. I couldn't find the exact number of kwh for these lights.
how many bulbs do you have?
Right now I have 5 bulbs
what is viewing distance
That's a very good question and a very important factor in viewing TV. My distance is between 8 to 9 feet.
They've dropped the feature on the latest 2023 TVs. Travesty.
seems distracting as fuck tbh
hmm it depends on the content. It's distracting when you're watching some drame genre or like sitcoms Friedns or BigBangTheory. While watch action movie or animated movie, it feels immersive. TV is usully bright enough to create your focus, and ambience give you out of TV room experience.
what is this for lamps? from ikea?
I bought it from Bauhaus Germany
OMG the most useless feature in all century.
It's totally customizable, I can turn off few lights or dim lights, it's up to my mood, and it's very easy with Hue Mobile App, or Siri. It's fun with different settings. With music I like full spectrum. With movies sometimes TV's ambilight is good enough. It's totally upto your mood.
