What bothers me in this episode is that 80% of it could have been avoided. There is no reason why Goku or Vegeta couldn't turn SSJ and take care of that army in 5 seconds. Hell that's kinda what Goku did in the end which makes all the previous fighting look ridiculous and a waste.
The whole show drags on a lot. I know that people are fighting the urge to say something negative about this show because it's Toriyama's last project, but to be completely honest, the show sucks. It has some interesting tidbits but overall it's not a fun watch. This should've never been a weekly episode show.
@@darknorthstar01 the plot is not good. The show introduces some nice characters and concepts but the plot is not interesting at all, it's just Dragon Ball GT with extra steps, and the atrocious pacing doesn't help at all. The saving grace of this show is the production quality.
@@oldmanjesus9855 it should have been a 2h movie probably. Also didn't like the giants episode. It kinda annoys me that this is the demon realm and so far we already seen a bunch of creatures stronger than the demon king Dabura. Kraken, giants, tamagamis. Seems like the demon king is a scrub in his own world. Goku and Vegeta should be destroying everything in their path with ease. This would make a lot more sense if it was a Trunks and Goten arc for them to struggle.
Knowing Toriyama its entirely possible. The commander Red version was actually pretty funny since it got him wasted by his own subordinate. The Frieza one was just a senseless comedic disservice to his character. Doing that a third time would be horrible.
They're really taking their time with this and not in a good way. Fodder characters like these don't even need or deserve a full episode. This is wild.
The fact that we know there’s only 20 episodes is what makes episodes like this so annoying. It wasn’t bad but knowing there’s only a few episodes left it’s like COME ON. Guess we have to wait another week
Show is bad bro nothing has happened now they’re going jam everything in the final 5 episodes. Funny part is next episode preview looks slow as well😂. Man this show was a huge let down
Your comparing human technology to demon technology that have been in the works for millions of years just because it's a laser doesn't mean it can't be powerful
@@OBITOMAJIN These Soldiers have magic ? Why they needs Weapons ? The army are Fodder and it's embarrasing Goku needs SSJ to beat Average Demon Soldiers and their TANKS of War.
@@Mandalore_ultimateThe barrier was made by neva and was an amazing feat of magic, fodder guns are nowhere near that level, people are just having a hard time accepting that it was bad writing
Bro I'm saying. Tamagami 2 should of honestly been Piccolo's fight then have Vegeta fight the 3rd one but nooooo they just had to have majin duu beat him. It's honestly so hard being a Piccolo fan. I really felt like we went so forward with super hero just go to back more. We still have like 5 episodes left tho so hopefully they give him something cause Jesus. If this show wraps up and and he doesn't do anything I would of they rather not even bring him. Throwing 1 punch and blasting ki blasts off screen is NOT it
@selfloathinggivesmelife7810 i agree. So far in this show he supposedly forgot how to speak namekian and he isn't using his super hearing because if he did he would've overheard glorio talking to arinsu. At this point it isn't just about fights, they're outright making him useless.
@@selfloathinggivesmelife7810 Why does it matter anyway? This takes place before Super, where he was weak and barely did anything. Have this problem if in Super, where he finally has a powerup, he does nothing.
@@j04370859 because Toriyama could’ve easily given Piccolo some temporary Demon power up so he can actually contribute in the final fight. They’re in the Demon Realm where magic abilities and artifacts are everywhere. They could’ve made up anything for Piccolo and it’d make sense cause you could just boil it down to “Demon Realm Magic”. They did it for Vegeta by giving him SSJ3. There’s no reason why they can’t for Piccolo.
@@DLo776 im like geekdom rn theres no way im going to suspend disbelief when charcters with strength comparable to majin/kid buu (galaxy busters at this point in the series) are getting milly rocked by electric pistols😭
@@hichaeljordan963 we don't know how strong those pistols are obviously they aren't regular electrical pistols as they got that same type of electricity from the barrier which did hurt goku. Daima is the most sterilized version of Dragon Ball yet. The violence doesn't have the same level of consequences as the original. Not saying there should be hyper-violence for the sake of edginess but it establishes tension. Take some villains from OG DB: >Tao Pai Pai unalives Goku's friend Bora by imp@ling him with an arrow. >Tambourine impæles Giran's tummy with his hand and breaks Krillin's neck. >Goku then finishes off both Tao Pai Pai and Tambourine via explosions to their faces. >Goku punches a hole in King Piccolo's chest. Obviously characters in Z had people getting their parts chopped off semi regularly and planets got exploded. Then there's the contrived tension in this episode. Could've just dodged and Ki blasted the tanks and ships. They could fly and shoot in the Tamagami fights so "thin air" is not an excuse. People will strawman you by saying "You don't like Daima because you only watched Z and you only like fight scenes" but where is the amazing character development in Daima? Glorio was sidetracked early on. Duu and Kuu have the most relatable struggle and Hybis is carrying 90℅ of the comedy.
That's because it's pretty obvious that heavy the violence isn't the main point of daima. Daima is just a fun dragon ball story and that isn't at all a bad thing. And I feel some of the criticism you made is kinda in bad faith. Glorio isn't really sidetracked for all we know he still working on backstabbing the crew, it's just that the main focus has been getting the dragon ball, and glorio has been kinda one of the biggest helpers as he's been the one guiding and driving them to their destination for most of the show, dragon ball daima doesn't really need character development either it isnt like Z, Super or OG where characters have multiple episodes and arc to change and developed as characters and most if not all these characters are already fleshed out with the only exception being glorio and his conflict of betraying the crew as it seems like he still cares about them but wants to fulfill arinsu demands at the same time.
I hate self censoring but RUclips has AI detection and it automatically deletes comments that it decides is inappropriate. So any "edgy" keywords will get even mundane comments deleted. Happens to me a lot.
It's ok if Daima doesn't have a serious story but character drama is also flat. I like Glorio but he's been in the background for most episodes. They could have some character drama with him by making the gang mistrust him but nothing happens after their sparring match. Maybe he'll get more in the last 5 episodes. Daima would have better pacing if it was movie length.
It's annoying how weak everyone was to these fodder. Goten and Trunks as super saiyans had incredible power, way more than what we've seen in Daima. Not buying how weak being in a kids body makes them. Still, grateful for Toriyama sensei and DB Daima as a whole, it's great.
Toriyama isn't enough to save this series quality. People will try their best to come up with explanations as to why "this and that is okay" because it has Toriyamas name on it. You see people have to find creative explanations to try defend the writing and some of the logic and plots in this series, that alone is an indicator of something wrong.
@@jjsyphor8288 Daima has been great, I only have criticisms about the power leveling. It was the same with DB Super, great story but dumb AF that Roshi could be in the tournament of power or that Android 17 can fight on SS Blue level, just made no sense at all. The difference is Super was Toei written(except for major plot points that Toriyama wrote} but DAIMA is all toriyama and I'm surprised at how inconsistent he is with their power.
Goten and trunks are kids at this time they are accustomed to there bodies because they are growing currently. Goku and vegeta hasn’t been kids in 30 years and they have to get “used” to their bodies so they can output the power they have. They didn’t get weaker. Let’s just say their output is capped. They need bigger fuses to transmit power but they’re stuck with tiny fuses, same battery tho. They are definitely still stronger than their sons. Goten and trunks really don’t stand a chance in the demons realm. Too childish and non disciplined.
Biggest issue I have with this episode is that the stakes feel super forced. For more than half of the episodes we see our heroes struggling against a basic demon police force.. When Goku was an actual child he defeated an entire army BY HIMSELF with ease, you really expect me to believe that post Majin Saga Goku, Vegeta and Piccolo are struggling to defeat a common army?? It doesn’t make sense. Sure there weapons are shown to be a lot stronger than the RR army’s but like Goku is MASSIVELY stronger than he was in DB. Goku and Vegeta are beating the shit out of the tamagamis which are suppose to be the strongest beings in the demon realm but struggle against some tanks?? wtf is that??
Thank you bro, they beat the tamagami which everyone in the demon world knows no one can beat them but yet I guess his got damn army could of done it since gokunand vetega needed help from the king of demond world 2, like bro this shit is irritating to watch I turned it off at 17 minutes
It bugs me how intelligent they are against great villains but act like total idiots in scenarios like this 🤦🏾♂️. Makes it really hard for me to believe and care about what’s going on
I have two theories. 1. Degasu will betray Gomah and use the Third Evil Eye for himself. 2. It was shown that Dabura was plotting and making plays behind the scenes to hire someone to steal the Third Evil Eye and with it gone Dabura was able to overthrow his father, Abura. Now, it said overthrown, not killed. Now he might have killed his father, but what if it is revealed that rather than killing his father Dabura actually imprisoned his father instead, and that Abura is actually alive and that is revealed later and then after that somewhere along the line Abura escapes and he manages to get the Third Evil Eye back and he takes back his throne and then he becomes the final villain of Daima that everyone has to fight against. Tell me what you all think.
Your theory is great, it would make an interesting plot twist. I’m not too sure about Degasu yet, we haven’t seen any hints of him betraying Gomah yet. The show is having a bad pace, I’m just thinking on how Goku will reach his rumor next form. Pretty sure he will get a new form and it sounds like his new form will break the dragon’s wish. Basically ssj4 inspired form.
Geekdom: Dissapointed that they didn't kidnap Hybis so that the show could get a hostage situation. Dragon Ball Daima Episode 16 Preview: Literally showing Degesu holding Baby Dende hostage AT GUN POINT!!!!
What would even be the point of the hostage situation? To what get dragon balls with the demon eye? They still need to get the other one from arinsu who is guarded by duu and kuu. The plan he had of using that girl to get the third eye was clever and inconspicuous
The fact they struggled or needed super sayain is crazy on its own they shouldn’t have trouble with them and those guns shouldn’t even be a problem they can tank planet bursting attacks but can’t tank a gun or tank..they could of just did one blast destroyed the entire area and had all them taken out with one blast..a final flash would of ended it..they seem weaker then even zarbon and dedoria or even nappa
@@AnthonyMallard-k9i True, but even then the fact that they struggled in base for TWENTY MINUTES and didn't even think of using SSJ1 to get rid of this fodder is atrocious writing.
@@_Seru_ agreed. the most insulting part was vegeta getting one shot by the gun and asking for revive bug , like what? didnt saiyans used to conquer planets before? what happened to their strength?
I kept thinking "I KNOW Goku and Vegeta know plenty of wide range AOE attacks, even a sweeping Kamehameha could handle most of this fodder"... and then Goku immediately did some scatter shots that wrecked them, though of course he went SSJ first, which I kinda doubt was truly needed, but maybe after getting numbed a few times he needed a boost? And hey I get it, they need to eat up time, and I did like the action.
Are we forgetting that they mentioned something about being unable to handle it as much while in their smaller bodies? I know it's not that consistent when they can take on the Tamagamis but like
Really hope things pick up. The start of the show was insanely slow.. then they picked up, now it’s back to being extremely slow. I’m also not a fan of the z warriors still being affected by guns and stuff just seems silly at this point. Overall I’m really losing interest
Considering Goku almost never handles a situation immediately, I think it's actually super on-brand for him to stay in base and screw around for a bit.
The electric weakness was foreshadowed when Goku touched the barrier in the last episode. If you think about it like Superman's weakness to magic i guess its acceptable.
This exactly. Even further, if the lasers and tank blasts we see here are magic based it makes a bit of sense they would give ki-based fighters a hard time in universe. Even in DBS Moro ark his power is magic based which made him the threat he was.
People misunderstood Superman weakness to magic. Superman is vulnerable to magic just like everyone is. Thats all because his power aren't set to counter it. Superman is as vulnerable to magic as humans are. Not like Kyptonite Superman REAL weakness when human is normal with it but Superman will be half death near it.
That electric weakness was Due to the barrier itself being forged from Neva himself. There's no shot in hell those guns are of the same nature. This is bad power scailing.
@@kundachikwamba6503 Neva creating their weapons would make a lot of sense but even if he didn't a much stronger Goku died from a Lazer beam in RoF. Lol
@KiddFelonyTV which shouldn't have happened to begin with in Super/Dragon Ball Resurrection F or now. Sins of the past shouldn't be allowed to excuse current sins as well. I say this because Namek Saga SSJ Goku intentionally took Final Form Frieza's death beam to the face just to flex on him. I think we can all agree that the power of Frieza's ki blast > a stupid ray gun even if someone is not on guard.
Did Degasu transform into that Majin chick to steal the 3rd eye? I feel like he did and is going to betray Gomah, but I’m not sure. The reason I say that is because at the beginning of the series, Degasu had his own wish, but never got it. I feel like we have more to see from him.
Yeah even the episode 16 preview had him pointing gun at dende , so he betrays gomah takes the 3rd eye..damn goku vs gomah vs degesu vs arinsu , crazyy
Dabura plot to overthrow his father. Arinsu is currently plotting to overthrow Gomah. I think Degesu has been working with her sister since the beginning and I wont be surprised that Degesu is the one to use the third eye lol.
I think Degesu hasn't been in cahoots with Arinsu, but it does seem like he's really conflicted about having to do certain things for Gomah, like disabling Warp-sama. I do think Degesu will use the Third Eye or at least try to
@Geekdom101 After Vegeta gets shocked/electrocuted by the guns (notice the yellow electricity happens after they get shot), Goku says, "Looks like dealing with this might be rough in a kid's body." The fact that they're in the physical body of kids is the reason why the shock of the blasts affected them so much.
Are they the same that defeated the Tamagami that were stronger than Dabura? Now a kid body is a problem for weak soldiers that couldn't even see them if they move faster?
@@xKillerx92x I know what you're saying, but maybe since the guns are meant to electrocute, it's different. Neva said to Piccolo, "One vital hit and it's over."
@@xKillerx92xAlso they were fighting in base. Their base forms can’t stand up to Tamagamis. One shot from those blasts drains their energy to the point they need a revive bug. Add to the fact that they were being shot at from every angle, it’s somewhat reasonable why they were in a tough spot. Should they have gone super the moment the fight started? Yeah. But Goku and co never go all out at the start and this time it really screwed them over.
@@RaccoonProductionsInc judging by how fast are the characters those soldiers can't even see them moving fast even in base and remember that Piccolo is stronger than a ssj. Just flying around and hit them was enough, they didn't even try to fly up, staying all in the same spot in front of them and when they were all flying away at the start they moved at the same speed of foot soldiers when they could fly a lot faster and escape easily
That’s your problem, Geekdom. You expect deadly violence from Goku and his friends, but that’s not who they are. They don’t want to hurt weaker people-that’s why Vegeta referred to them as ‘pests.’ They’re not out to harm or destroy anyone. you’re dumb and not thinking things out, rushing to judge without using your head
I feel like the way they make them struggle is supposed to be the tension but us fans already know they're way passed this and feel no tension. Show sucks
I was honestly annoyed throughout this entire episode. Goku defeated an army by what? 9 or 10 years old? Vegeta has been conquering planets since he was a child and Demon King Piccolo essentially took over the Earth singlehandedly, but a bunch of flunkies were able to hold them off. It was nothing but lazy filler that does not make sense at this point in the timeline. What's worse is we now only have 5 episodes to wrap this up. I wish this would have been skipped.
What threw me is didn't nappa and vegeta eat bug people in OG dragon ball z before they got to earth? Vegeta never has been that weirded out over little things like eating a bug...it's so much bullshit in this show
Why do they need to be saved by a group that Goku solod in an earlier episode? I feel like they just wanted Star Wars themed shenanigans but this just proves my point that this woulda been better as a Goten and Trunks event but... SSJ3 Vegeta shut me up on that one so ill keep an open mind. Didnt like them getting halted by common soldiers
I respect Geekdom so much been following him for over 10 years and it hurts me that call out the BS that is this show...like the pacing the fact that they keep portraying them like they're so week that they can't deal with these fodder ass people. They getting hit with attacks that they should be able to dodge while sleep at this point. They have took Dragon quest and tried to add dragonball to it and it's not good. This is making me lose all hope for anything they put out after this it's INSANE
Big facts. The people defending this are just fanboys and not good ones. I’m literally the biggest dragonball fanboy but there’s things that I can’t defend. To think those blasters can kill namek frieza and the androids is crazy 😂
Having them go SSJ or SSJ3 right away contradicts Goku and Vegeta's character in every way. Due to their Saiyan biology, they have always savored a fight. They enjoy fighting and want it to last as long as possible.
Goku like fight opponents Strong not guys weaker than him, Goku literally destroyed the Red Ribbon Army soo fast because they are not match for him Goku doesn't lose time with weak opponents.
I really liked how intense the action was in this episode. The animation, as always, is top notch. There are a lot of cool moves. The way King Khan arrived at just the right time reminded me of the moment in Star Wars Episode II: The Clone Wars when the Jedi were cornered by a droid army on the Execution Arena and the clones arrived to reinforce. Not on the same scale, but it was very similar. Otherwise, I was pleased and the episode is definitely no worse than Episode 13. Yep moments with Hybis was a little dissapointing that he gave the Third eye to the stranger girl. This can be very confusing to DB fans and viewers as the whole and the right question to ask: "Why this was necessary?" But my guess is that Toriyama just wanted to make a joke in his usual humor tropes with this character.
The animation was very stiff in the majority of this episode. A lot of still characters as well. There was a pretty decent sequence towards the end of the fight, but overall this pales in comparison to earlier episodes. The best part of this episode was the lore drop and the tease of potential transformations with the Tertian Oculus. Also the colors used in this episode, if only the layout/storyboarding wasn't so claustrophobic it really could of shined more.
In regards to Hybis, that's just his character that's been established throughout the series and he didn't even know it was the Third Eye so why should he care about it?
@ it’s really subjective it’s 2 episodes I really like, some episodes are decent/ok because of extra lore and then there’s episodes where it’s just boring to me
So far if someone were to ask me what do I think the lasting impression of Daima is, I would have to say the Lore drops. It’s the strongest part about the series. Them being affected by the energy weapons is whatever. I don’t like it, but we’ve seen precedence for this during the Moro arc. Maybe I'm misremembering but I believe the Galactic patrol also knocked them out with energy weapons.
Sorry if this has been already said but, the next episode is called Degasu. I think that he's gonna try and betray Gomah. He doesn't like what Gomah's been doing. Also we see Degasu in the clip hold a gun up to Dende.
The only explanation i could think of is that the army was just so large that using super saiyan or any forms beyond would take too much stamina and they would eventually get overrun
For everyone wondering why the show is starting to get a lot of hate is because it was made for kids and we have a bunch of adult-children trying to analyze a childrens show.
"I'm tired of these Sayians making every fight harder than it has to be" -Beerus All they had to do is say the magic electricity can counteract Super Sayian and then there would at least be some stakes. But instead we get Goku and Vegeta in base for most the episode. Don't get me wrong, the action was amazing, but this felt forced.
my headcanon for the issues in powerscaling is that magic is generally more potent than normal ki, so a normal ki-based attack would need to have a large amount of ki in order to be the same strength as a magic-based attack that has a small amount of magic. tldr; if normal ki is a bomb, magic is a nuke
I'd say... demons are magic resistant and the Tamagamis are nearly immune. They use magic to control the Megaths and Gigaths that get out of line as well as the Krakens. That fixes it, but still doesn't fix Vegeta letting his wife be in danger without transforming right away in Episodes 13 and 15.
@@mogalixir yeah, the parts of it that are just straight up bad writing isn't really justifiable. it's a shame they have to dumb down their battle iq just to drag out the episode
You are forgetting its 1 v 1 when facing a tamagami for the dragon ball. Goku and gang were being attacked from all directions, bound to eventually be hit. If it was 1 wezpon, I'm sure Goku would not have been hit.
The only explanation I could find for the way the Z warriors fought like noobs is stamina preservation due to them not yet confident in their abilities in their younger bodies.
Not confident in their abilities in their younger bodies? They defeated the Tamagami that no one was able to beat even Dabura and now just weak soldiers are a problem?
I'm pretty sure it's more of trying to keep the more vulnerable people say like bulma and panzy. You can clearly see they are fighting defensively and only started rushing in when back up arrived. And that's mainly because if the heavy hitters like goku vegeta and piccolo were stunned than who would be able to defend all the others.
Stamina preservation makes no sense, they fucking wasted a senzu bug because of some shitty laser guns for god's sake, it would be more smart to go ssj, which they can maintain with no drawbacks, and wipe the whole army in a second
from this episode we now know warp was not put in place until after the 3rd eye was lost and presumably once Dabura stole the throne, and the lack of knowing what became of the 3rd eye, i imagine babadi was able to use his promises of power to convince dabura to let himself be placed under babadi's spell, likely only then once it is too late wind up under babadi's control and clearly did not have what it took to break free on his own
that's the thing goku did that but at the end of this episode it took 20 minutes for him to do that Entire battle could've been over in 1 minute but they dragged it out absolutely horrible
Could be also because they want to conserve energy because they know tougher enemies are coming. Also, he could have ran out of energy bugs or running low.
I really enjoyed this episode. From a storytelling standpoint with was very well paced and directed. You won't find me nitpicking over power scales and transformations, because I'm an adult and I have a life. Just enjoy Toriyama's last gift to us all.
Honestly, this episode was the most boring one out of them all in Daima. With episode 14 being the 2nd most boring. Megath episode at least had amazing lore and exploration. We found out about two species that could be insanely strong in the future. Last two episodes were so inconsequential & boring that I'm beyond words.
Yeah daima became extremely disappointing for me as well. Even as kids Goku and vegeta should have been so powerful that they could have defeated some soldiers with guns in an instant. Yet they struggle so much against them. They nerfed them so much. It looks like they are weaker than they were in the saiyan saga for some reason. It’s really sad.
This show is sadly just weak pacing wise, logic wise, tension wise. Genuinely confused as a dragon ball fan as to why this was even made instead of just bringing back Super.
Honestly, the longer Daima runs, the more I get the impression that it was absolutely butchered from what it was original supposed to be and is yet another victim of the absolutely disgusting neglect that Dragonball gets from Shueisa and Toei. From the way it's structured and written, it's very obvious that Daima was never intended to be this grand epic adventure and homage to all of Dragonball, but just a fun little adventure in between. Which would have been fine if it was the web show that it was originally supposed to be. But then Dragonball's 40th anniversary came up and Shueisa/Toei realized they had nothing, so they took Magic and turned it into Daima and hyped the shit out of it. Then Toriyama-sensei sadly passed away, and traditional TV stations started to pick up Daima, so its format had to be changed to 20 min episodes, something it was never intended to be, and which is likely why the pacing is so awkward. And it got marketed as Toriyamas last big hurrah and final series, adding even more to the hype and rising expectations to something it had no hopes of ever fulfilling with its original conceptions and intend. 15 episodes in, I think it's fair to say that overall, Daima is very underwhelming. This is not to say that I hate it, I am having fun with most of it, the production is very high, and it gave us a lot of lore. But a lot of it also feels very contrived, like the third eye in this episode, or huge stretches of nothingburgers. Episode 3-7 or the past 3 Episodes probably could have been cut down to 2-3 episodes. And aside from episode 1, 8 and 12 (to an extent, that one wasn't perfect either), I don't think it has yet quite reached the potential it had on paper. We still have 5 episodes to go, and I'm sure it will go out with a big bang, but the overall mixed reactions to it will probably stay, and rightfully so. I don't blame Toriyama, who clearly had lots of fun with what he was told to do, Iyouki, who pretty much single-handedly kept Dragonball alive these past 5+ years or the production team, who did an amazing job of bringing Daima to life. No, fuck Shueisa and Toei for turning Daima into something it was never supposed to be and absolutely refusing to do anything DBS Manga related. I really can just hope that Iyouki and Capsule Corp will eventually be able to get the rights to DB somehow and continue its legacy with the respect it deserves, since Shueisa and Toei clearly don't give a fuck and will do literary anything but the one thing most of us want, aka Super 2.
What an AWESOME episode!!! If you told me we were gunna get Goku and friends storming a demon city while a WW2 demonic scifi army defended it, I wouldn't believe you, but we are in the middle of it! King Kadan made such a cool entrance. So many well drawn shots in this episode, and every single explosion was amazing.
As far as them struggling against a seemingly easy enemy, or not going ssj, come on! It was executed very well. What would people prefer? They turn ssj3, blow up the entire demon realm (screw Dende) and go home? Instead of spending 3 minutes explaining why they are saving strength or are more effected than normal by weapons, we got action. It's not like they were at the point of death and refusing to transform, maybe they were almost there, but Kadan intervened before that.
Goku said in the episode 15 that their kid bodies couldn’t handle the shock blast. I’m sure they can take bullets but…. The army used energy based weapons. Panzy said that they can shoot those weapons for ten days. Remember the weakest soldiers in the Frieza Force used energy based weapons. Energy based attacks can hurt super warriors.
It really was lost, I suppose. Perhaps that was why he wanted the demonic dragon balls. It would be interesting if the deal with Bobity was for enough power to take on the Tamagami or a scrying spell to find the eye (without mentioning the eye) after they were done freeing Majin Buu.
@@xCmDrunkXDabra wanted the Third Eye, that was the whole point of conspiring to steal it. The thing was that using it right away wasn't a priority for him because he could kill his father without it.
I liked it reminded me of when Goku went against the red ribbon army! Also Hibbus refusing the kiss from that cute demon girl was hilarious my boy ain’t no simp hahaha Also this reminded me of the clone wars those troops have Storm Trooper aim for sure haha and the stun guns is definitely something from Star Wars. 2:49 the struggle was kinda of meh tho the whole time I was like I know they can easily take the army out real quick.
My big problem with this episode is how easy Hybis gave the Third eye to some stranger girl for a hat... It's just stupid and ridiculous, but in the style of Toriyama humor.
@@Jamitsofficial you completely forget the fact that hybis didn't even know it was third eye. From his pov it looked like he was trading articles of clothing. A belt with an eye design for a jiggly big hat. It's not stupid at all
If the show wasn't so close to being done I'd quit it. The amount of nerfing in the series is ridiculous. How was that army with LASER GUNS a challenge for Piccolo? Kid Goku washed the Red Ribbon SOLO without super saiyan! Its ridiculous.
Ok just my opinion. I have no history of Dragonball but have watched every ep of Daima. As a brand new viewer I'm really enjoying the story. The animation is stellar and I love all the characters. I'm mostly looking forward to watching the Eng dub but for all the haters out there many are loving the new story and not overthinking every aspect of the show.
og fans will nit pick everythingggg. stories have had weird holes always, but it's supposed to be fun. which is what it helps with "the tone". loving daima so far btw as an old fan
I do see your point about Goku and Vegeta needing to go Super Saiyan to easily destroy the armies and tanks, but I may have a guess as to why they didn't right away. I do remember that Saiyans gain strength for every pain they receive (as revealed back in the Frieza Saga). I'm assuming Goku and Vegeta are kinda treating the army the same way and just like most of their other fights, they don't go all out right away, rather phasing themselves, and gain more strength by getting the damage they receive from the Gendarmerie, hence why they stay on their base form until the time comes when their base form gets in trouble/cornered, then they turn Super Saiyan. Although the tank shot they got looked like it hurt, part of me thinks it didn't hurt them that much, just their body feeling numb, which didn't really trigger their need for Super Saiyan. Then later we see Goku transform to Super Saiyan, which he and Vegeta could've done earlier to easily wipeout the army. My guess why he did it now is because at that time, he decided he's done having his fun with the fight (which I guess he may consider these fights his "training" I guess) and wanted to swiftly end the fight to quickly move on. Probably everything I said here didn't make sense, but I hope you know where I am getting at. That being said, I won't deny the plot holes being said. Regardless I still enjoy Daima and definitely staying 'til the end, especially knowing this is Toriyama's last DB project.
This episode got me so frustrating, even Krillin should be power enough to take out all these soldiers with ease, I don’t want to watch this bullshit anymore and it doesn’t matter if they are kids or not 😤😤😤
@ in dragon Ball, Goku and Krillin got shot by guns by the red ribbon army and by Launch when she turns blonde many times as kids weaker than this version of them as kids, I understand that the staff shoots magic blasts but still, it doesn’t justify how weak they made them just to fit the story.
@@tooclutch7660 they are different/more powerful than Earth guns. The whole point of the wish in EP 1 is for them to be much weaker. They literally showed us that 1 shot from THESE guns knock down Goku and more than one shot incapacitates Vegeta. Neva tells Piccolo that they could unalive him with well placed shots. They literally spoon fed us the explanation.
Toriyama wasn’t even invested in power levels. He brought this show to its roots. granting wishes, adventures with being introduced new characters, just having fun, the gags like the food and other character quirks.. super made it all about power power power and all you guys did was complain about that shows inconsistent power levels and bad plot lines. Just enjoy it
power scaling/=/power levels Almost every fighting show or movie of any kind has power scaling. Power levels were a narrative device to show that the Earthlings were generally weaker than the Saiyans and Freeza force, but had superior ki control
It doesn't matter how powerful you if you are still a biological organism with bodily functions. Goku can still be posioned or paralyzed. HOWEVER what's not believable is that these Royal Policie's ray gun's electricity is more potent than various forms of electricity that Goku has resisted in the past.
Ep 15 so boring bruh they should beat soldiers easily why goku need to go super saiyan on soldiers that pretty suck dragonball power levels always doesnt make sense after all😂
I’m saying! I was thinking “why don’t yall hurry up and beat these dudes” Goku was doing this by himself as a kid, and now he has Vegeta & Piccolo and is somehow struggling 🤣
Honestly I feel I can say this now because there’s only 5 episodes left. This by far is the worst dragonball series I’ve ever seen. It doesn’t even feel like dragonball. It’s a wanna be star wars but fails horribly. These beings that can destroy solar systems and galaxy’s are being hurt by ray gun bullets and regular soldiers????!!!! , The pacing is horrible!, nothing is happening with the story just episodes that feel like “filler” with their ship being broken or stolen, why do these beings need a ship to move around the planet when they’re mftl? O idk PLOT!, literally nothing has happened and they are going to jam everything in 5 episodes to finish it 😂, this could’ve easily been a movie or an ova. I’m just so very disappointed. It’s been a huge let down besides animation. Only things I like about Daima is Goku tamagami 1 fight, majin duu and kuu ( I think they’re funny), and the animation. Ssj 3 vegeta is dope but it’s literally a fan service and doesn’t make sense since vegeta never turned 3 in super. Don’t give me that o he knows it’s a bad transformation it still doesn’t excuse the fact. Goku turned ssj 3 against beerus of the bacc so vegeta would do the same hands down but he didn’t. Also super had 131 episodes and many chapters in the manga, so 2 continuities, for vegeta to turn ssj 3 but again didn’t.

♦️I understand Geekdom says Dragon Ball likes to reference alot from Star Wars and I'm a die hard DB fan.I'm not here to start anything but in a way to me they reference more to African history.Beerus being a Godlike figure like Anubis,Whis is basically a fallen angel,Piccolo we always said in jokes is Black but now he's from the Demon World aka the 3rd World 🌎 now the 3rd Eye like the Eye of Horus being a power source. The Namekians being slaves,Different realms,Amun Ra wanting all the power and control like the Demon King. Its alot more but you guys get what I'm saying.Again not all but majority is from history of Kemet, before y'all attack me.I was just stating my thoughts, just something to think about if your know. But I'm still down with DB period 💪🏽💯
Nah. Beerus was indeed designed with a look inspired by Anubis, but most Dragon Ball lore actually comes from Buddhism. I could literally wire a whole ass essay about how nearly every concept is taken from that. Which shouldn’t be a surprise since it’s the biggest religion in Japan. Third eye? Buddhist symbol. Demon World? Makai from Japanese Buddhism. The afterlife? King Yemma is just King Emma from Japanese Buddhism. The whole 4 kais, each one ruling a quadrant of the universe? 4 heavenly kings from Buddhism. Could go on and on lol. Toriyama just took what he new, and warped it into something new and wacky,
@abdieljove2011 After studying all religion you are correct.I just used more on Kemetic beliefs because I think it's far older than Buddhism by a few thousands years but they are all kind of similar but I agree with you.Cheers to knowledge brutha 💪💯
SSJ1 was mastered during the Cell arc, his kid body didn't stop him from beating this fodder multiple times in this series already. In base. Stop defending horrible writing.
How long have the demon world tunnels been closed by Neva if they were open during Dabura's reign? Is Dabura that old?! The cockroach literally escaped through the tunnel and lost the third eye. I thought they were closed long before Darbura was in power? Even Shin didnt even know how they were closed, if I'm not mistaken.........

Ive enjoyed it and really appriciate this as Toriyama's last work. I'll definitely watch it again after everything is released
This episode was mostly filler. Toriyama doesn't do filler. There's no way Toriyama did this episode. It's a marketing ploy calling it his "last work", implying that he did everything here, and we have to treat it as such.

Second, there were plenty of people shitting on Super to unwarranted degrees, which was a topic in the fandom for years.
After this episode, it all makes sense now, if Goku were to ever get super Saiyan 4 in Daima he would be using the third eye himself, temporarily, which explains why he can't use it in super then onwards...
What bothers me in this episode is that 80% of it could have been avoided. There is no reason why Goku or Vegeta couldn't turn SSJ and take care of that army in 5 seconds. Hell that's kinda what Goku did in the end which makes all the previous fighting look ridiculous and a waste.
Exactly!
The whole show drags on a lot. I know that people are fighting the urge to say something negative about this show because it's Toriyama's last project, but to be completely honest, the show sucks. Daima is the most sterilized version of Dragon Ball yet. The violence doesn't have the same level of consequences as the original.
Not saying there should be hyper-violence for the sake of edginess but it establishes tension.
Take some villains from OG DB:
>Tao Pai Pai unalives Goku's friend Bora by imp@ling him with an arrow.
This comment is so sterilized “unaliving” censoring impaling
@@aredblip1315 oh I didn’t know that RUclips is hella lame nowadays
It's annoying how weak everyone was to these fodder. Goten and Trunks as super saiyans had incredible power, way more than what we've seen in Daima. Not buying how weak being in a kids body makes them. Still, grateful for Toriyama sensei and DB Daima as a whole, it's great.
Being in kid bodies would make this fight easier if anything lol. Smaller target to hit
Toriyama isn't enough to save this series quality. People will try their best to come up with explanations as to why "this and that is okay" because it has Toriyamas name on it.
You see people have to find creative explanations to try defend the writing and some of the logic and plots in this series, that alone is an indicator of something wrong.
@@jjsyphor8288 he probably merely was in a supervisory role
You clearly haven't been watching the series, or you don't pay attention. But w/e, this fanbase is such a joke.

I don't Remember Goku losing time with weaker opponents in Dragon Ball original manga normally Goku one shot opponents very weak.
Toei Goku normally waste time the Old movies are soo annoying he's always holding back but Manga Goku doesn't waste time.
Go watch Gohan fight the Freeza force in RoF. He takes out dozens of people easily in base form, while also avoiding causing them fatal damage.
I think it would have been alot better if we just seen hibus with the hat and then later flash back to the scene where he gives it away.
Bro, Daima straight trash.

"I'm tired of these Sayians making every fight harder than it has to be" -Beerus
All they had to do is say the magic electricity can counteract Super Sayian and then there would at least be some stakes.
Atleast not fast enough or tricky to dodge it. Saiyans are saving fuel for the big fight and obsessed with zenkai
In dragonball magic isn’t stronger than ki. If it was babidi would be the strongest in the verse
What I think happened with the revive bug is that Vegeta was probably exhausted after the previous fights.
I thought the girl who traded for the third eye was Degesu in disguise!! I guess it wasn't him!

@@whiten4635this is actually a good way too look at it
Stamina preservation makes no sense, they fucking wasted a senzu bug because of some shitty laser guns for god's sake, it would be more smart to go ssj, which they can maintain with no drawbacks, and wipe the whole army in a second
Still makes no sense bruh there’s literally no excuses lol
from this episode we now know warp was not put in place until after the 3rd eye was lost and presumably once Dabura stole the throne, and the lack of knowing what became of the 3rd eye, i imagine babadi was able to use his promises of power to convince dabura to let himself be placed under babadi's spell, likely only then once it is too late wind up under babadi's control and clearly did not have what it took to break free on his own
My only issue is that Goku and Vegeta EASILY could've went SSJ and taken care of them.
that's the thing goku did that but at the end of this episode it took 20 minutes for him to do that

Blamed shusha who does not want super anime back.

This
the episode dragged for no reason, that army could have been wiped easily and we could have moved on with the plot
Also, I love Hybis.
You can't fight the Tamagami with an army! It has to be 1 v 1.
I can't wait to hear Dabura in English again when that comes out. The lore was great, very sith. Lots of star wars in general in this episode.
Yeah Super Broly was awesome that's a fact of nature.

One thing I noticed how Vegeta needed a revive bug when he got shot but Goku didn’t when he got hit
Holy shit... i cant even describe how shit the show is. Why? Why is it like this??? What happened?????
Ok, don't watch it then.
@@j04370859 No way you skip super and GT.
I wish the episode count was unknown because it really takes away from how people are enjoying this show. Seeing it weekly vs binge watching will have a different experience.
@@Jim-pq9pm if thats your way of coping sure but all of this is intended to be canon lol
@ Yea well we have no idea what TOEI did to this show after Toriyama died. Again, marketing ploy, also a ploy to dissuade criticism
@ I mean Toei is known to have drawn out scenes and slower pacing in its shows so this isn’t a new thing. I like everyone else was getting annoyed with the ship constantly breaking down or getting stolen but it’s also something expected to stretch out the story to 20 eps.
This community man omgg😂💀, can we not just enjoy Toriyama-Sama’s last passion project?, yall act like yall got stocks invested in this shit & is one Boring/Confusing/Inconsistent episode away from losing all your livelihood bruh like god damn. This show is peak with all this dark and gritty anime/tv shows being forced down our throats. Give Toriyama-Sama some respect, and keep yall meat in ya pants till Super comes back or something 😂💯
If I could like this comment more than once I would I'm enjoying the last of Toriyamas work
Fr this fandom is so overly dramatic about everything.
Everyone is a fake fan. They are not truw dragon ball fans.
.... So sad..
The writing is shit man, I have all respect in the world for Toriyama's work, but this is garbage and people trying to cope that it isn't just because Toriyama was involved is pathetic, he was involved in super too and people had no problems shitting on it
@@meikaishi"I have all the respect in the world for Toriyama's work"
Proceeds to shit all over one of the last, if not the last, passion project of Toriyama.
And really? It's okay because Toriyama was involved in Super and some fans shit on Super too? First, Toriyama was much more involved in Daima than anything else. Second, there were plenty of people shitting on Super to unwarranted degrees, which was a topic in the fandom for years.
Again, Third Eye and Tien is there...
The one underrated character in the series that could really use a power up..
After this episode, it all makes sense now, if Goku were to ever get super Saiyan 4 in Daima he would be using the third eye himself, temporarily, which explains why he can't use it in super then onwards...
degesu and gomah will use to be the final boss or tha majins will infuse with the eye.
@bangalusaphospogter7807 Goku isn't gonna turn SSJ4 in Daima bro
@@Mandalore_ultimatein ep 18 yes
