In this video, we will take you to on a pizza tour of all five boroughs of NYC! But, we have two stipulations. First, we eat a unique style of pizza at each stop. Second, we take ferries as often as possible between each location. There is so much amazing pizza in New York City and these are just five of many great options here.
    1. Louie's Pizzeria and Restaurant
    81-34 Baxter Ave
    Elmhurst, NY 11373
Quite possibly the best grandma slice in NYC. The grandma is the signature slice at Louie's. They also make excellent dishes here.
    2. Louie & Ernie's Pizza
    1300 Crosby Ave
    Bronx, NY 10461
Is Louie & Ernie's the best pizza in The Bronx? Louie and Ernie's has been rated highly in national and local lists for many years and for good reason. Their sausage pizza is their signature, but the regular slice is also excellent. We ordered a slice of each at this Bronx institution.
    3. PQR (Pizza Quadrata Romana)
    1631 2nd Ave
    New York, NY 10028
Roman style pizza in NYC. Keeping with the unique styles of pizza, we came to PQR for Manhattan's spot. Roman style pizza is very light and uniquely prepared. Here we ordered the bufala, topped with buffalo milk mozzarella and basil.
    4. Lee's Tavern
    60 Hancock St
    Staten Island, NY 10305
For Staten Island, we went to one of the most highly-rated spots, Lee's Tavern in Dongan Hills. They serve bar pizza with thin crust. The spot itself is actually a bar.
Here we ordered the red clam pie, a half sausage and pepperoni pie and half regular and a special side dish that you'll have to watch to find out!
    5. L'industrie Pizzeria
    254 S 2 St
    Brooklyn, NY 11211
Our final stop was in Brooklyn, a borough with a rich pizza history. Here, we decided on L'industrie, one of the best newer pizzerias in NYC. A great mix of NYC and Italy with high quality ingredients. We got a burrata slice and a L'industrie slice, topped with burrata and prosciutto.

    ABOUT FOOD AND FOOTPRINTS:
We are Greg and Jumi, hailing from opposite ends of the globe. Greg is a native New Yorker who was born and raised in Queens NYC and Jumi grew up in the beautiful islands of the Visayas region of the Philippines.
How did we meet? One of us messaged the other on Instagram (before sliding in DM's was even possible through the app!) and we met just after Hurricane Sandy hit NYC in October 2012. Although we grew up in two very different worlds, we bonded over a love of experiences over material things, delicious food and exploration.
We have visited 15+ countries together since December 2014 exploring beaches, ancient temples, bustling streets and ruins. Along the way, we get adrenaline flowing whether paragliding, ziplining, or jetskiing.
To fuel up for our adventures (and everyday life), we eat lots of local food wherever we are. Street food, carts, trucks, hidden gems and family-run sit-downs are our mainstays. We don't cook, but prefer to spend our money on experiences and we treat food as one. Hey, we gotta eat regardless, right? May as well enjoy it and support good businesses while we're at it!
All of this is done while we work full-time at our day jobs. How do we do it? Follow along our journeys and you will learn more. Welcome to our lifestyle!
