Minecraft, but I added updates to copper ore for the caves and cliffs update in Minecraft 1.17. I also added archeology to take an early look, and even magnets in Minecraft with cobalt!

@@collinbias9070 I think its makes sense that its stronger though. Gold is rare then iron but less common then diamonds, so it being in the middle makes sense. It also gives more functionality to gold and copper rather then just making gold armor good.

omg now if you want to make some delapetated mansion then you can have 2 types of lighting, copper sulfate lanterns and soul fire lanterns+ creeper mob farms can be simplified into essentially a piglin farm only instead of eggs, you use the lanterns!

@@zombathinlostleghackercat5233 Well yeah, obviously you can't get optifine on snapshot versions, and there are some mods completely incompatible with it. Having the spyglass in the base game means you get zoom without the need for modding or sacrificing mods you cant use with optifine.

I can see the copper sulfate concept fitting perfectly in Education Edition, but not so much in the main game (it also has a common historic use as pigment, so might make a nice alternative crafting recipe for cyan dye).
I really, really hope we get more uses for copper in 1.18, even if it's just a pressure plate or something to help incorporate copper blocks into a build palette. I've not spent that many hours playing 1.17 so far and I already have way more copper than I can use.
I'm fine with Mojang not wanting to make copper armour but I want to see SOMETHING to use it for. For example, adding copper nuggets (which I'm sure they'll do at some point) and allowing us to use them instead of iron nuggets to craft a lantern. They'd function exactly the same as regular lanterns, with ordinary white/yellow light, but would have a different texture, like an old copper ship's lantern. Black lanterns don't look good in all builds and this would be such a simple change to give more variety.
Or copper nuggets could craft into copper wires, that connect like chains but can conduct a redstone signal without a supporting block underneath - or send it directly up in a compact way. Of course, that would be a huge change that isn't quick and easy to code and might not fit with the developer's vision for Minecraft.

Uhh well is supposed to be stronger than iron, yes, but weaker than diamond. It's meant to be a good in-between, and since gold is actually quite rare, but is used for almost nothing, it gives a use and a reason to keep it and collect it. As for the copper, it has no uses other than building and a few other small things, so ig gives a use for that as well. And it doesn't end there. The smiting table, which is close to useless and only turns diamond to netherite and for villagers, now has another use. Not only that, but the durability on the tools also is balanced

I like the rose gold idea. This allows iron to be used slightly earlier on, and then you upgrade so that gold is useful. Plus it will alow people to use their early game iron for other uses.

Copper batteries that work as fuel for furnaces or portable gadgets, and could be recharged with the daylight sensor or lightning rod when it receives lightning.
- ore detector: gadget that points to the nearest ore (sort of like a compass).
- magnet: gadget that when pointed at far away items or XP and activated, drags those items and XP to yourself.
- emitter: item that when dropped or placed somewhere, it sends a signal that can be heard and seen from very far away until it runs out of battery. Useful for when you die and you don't know where you died, so you can collect your items again, or to reveal your location to other players.
When those gadgets run out of energy, it drops both the gadget and the battery.

All of these are really cool ideas but I got a few more for consideration.
1) A battery, take 3 bottles and craft a jar (you can add a lot of functions already) then put the jar under a lightning rod. Once lightning strikes you’ll get lightning in a bottle now take that and a copper ingot a craft a battery. Have fun thinking of different functions.
2) Wires, take a copper ingot and some string to craft a copper spool, then add 2 rubber to get wire. This can be used a sort of an upgrade to red stone dust as the wire can go up walls and can have 3 wires on a single block.
3) Rubber tree, functions similar to a jungle tree and grows rubber spawns rarely
This actually feels like something that's gonna be in Minecraft.
Hope it will be. Otherwise I will be heavily disappointed.

The rose gold is probably one of the coolest ideas I've seen in a while. Gold has the best enchanting potential but nobody uses it for that because of its weak durability and the fact a gold pickaxe functions the same as wood in terms of what it can mine. Buffing it with the rose gold upgrade and making it on par with iron for durability and breaking means you very something that is very beautiful and very functional at once, all while using the game's existing assets to accomplish it.
I actually really like the rose gold idea, it really fits in the game without being overpowered and give gold more use (and copper). I also think the copper sulfate andd the green fire fits in well, I like that these are science friendly and vanilla friendly, they aren't toooo out there. The wrench does feel a little too modded though. Good job!

It is semi-useless, you don’t really use it because of its properties as a tool or armor, it is just there to turn into netherite or be in peace with piglins. Not usefull as armor or tool.

This looks amazing, this should definitely exist alongside the Copper Golem, the wrench could be used to give it special purposes aswell as its base functions!

Redstone Lantern and Campfire?
The red stone torches produce low light which doesn’t prevent spawns but also doesn’t increase visibility a ton. He’s proposing something that let’s off a lot of light to increase visibility without preventing mob spawns.

Bronze/ rose gold armor should be added so copper will have some kind of use however it would have to be different in some type of way
a great example of the picky and impossible to please community here. Just because they don’t always add what the community wants doesn’t mean the only things they add are what they want. The cave update was so suggested, and they commited to adding it, aswell as doing community votes, and going the extra mile of updating villagers, oceans, the nether, which I don’t see anybody complaining about, because they’re great updates.
@@DashLashBoy Agreed. Mojang also has design pillars and LOTS to think about in terms of what a new feature can do. Things like "why doesn't mojang hire all these modders?" is stupid, I understand they have hired a few, but those are people with experience and a real grip on what makes the game good.

I love the idea of the copper Sulfate stuff. Mainly the idea of different types of lighting having different properties. The idea of say a glowstone torch that can be waterlogged. Not sure what the campfire and lantern or fire could do, but eh. Also copper chains, copper anvil (doesn't really add anything special, but you know) copper lanterns and even gold ones. More or less any iron type block could have a copper or rose gold (and gold) version. Which leads to the idea of a say plating table. Where you can apply metals over other metals (basically metal dye) to change the bar types.

They recently confirmed that copper is only for blocks and the spyglass (as of 1.17)
If they’re only giving 2(maybe 3) uses to copper then it would just become useless to most people that does not use copper for builds after like 4 blobs of copper

Rose Gold would be better if you could craft "Rose Gold Ingots" the same way as Netherite but with Copper instead of the scraps, that way you use more copper (because lets face it, one single copper ingot is only worth 2 cents with how many you get when mining) and is a little more balanced. Not only that, but now you would be able to actually have Rose Gold blocks, that would make great decoration in builds.
(I would also change the color a little, personally... the armor and tools look barely different from normal copper. Maybe a more light pinkish orange?).
Its kinda crazy how people can both have basically the same idea even when not knowing someone else already had the same idea. I've wanted rose gold and green fire ever since Copper was introduced, and I'd never even seen this video before.

Wrenches should be made with blocks because copper is really easy to find and the wrench is super useful.
Also I think the rose gold stuff that is scientifically correct is an amazing touch to it because gold and copper is rose gold, being scientifically correct. Mojang themselves actually said that they can’t add some things because they are not scientifically correct, which means the rose gold may actually be added to the game!
The copper lighting rod has incredible potential for redstone. I think placing 2 lighting rods close but few blocks away from eachother with lighting makes a curant, the curants deal damage and emit a redstone signal,placing blocks inbetween a current makes them redstone powered except the more blocks you put inbetween the less stronger the signal gets, to balance it the currant block limit would be 6, you may think this replaces the sculk detectors but it doesnt, sculks would be way more efficent and the max amount of curants that connect to one another would be 2 (3 lighting rods). When you use sculks you do it for long distance but lighting currants wouldnt work for long distances. Im still brain stroming about a way to power lighting bolts without lightning

Maybe the copper wrench could also be a way of powering redstone contraptions from your hand. Maybe you could make another item that does this.

I love the rose gold idea, it finally makes gold tools much more usable, but it is still not too op and actually takes more resources to obtain.
Also since it isn't a new level to the tech tree, but isntead more of a sidegrade/upgrade to gold, it doesn't add clutter just depth.
I can imagine people who take the time to make rose gold while others make do with iron, it feels like the perfect solution for gold while still remaining vanilla.

Rose gold is a pretty neat idea in contrast to the community's suggestion of using bronze, which requires copper and tin, tin being an ore that has very little uses in game if they choose to use that.

dude the rose gold stuff is actually genius and should 100% be in the game
Having a light source that would allow mobs to spawn would be interesting, and useful in the situations you mentioned; however, it would also suck because I could see some build themes that would look awesome with green lighting. It'd just be a little impractical to light up your base with them if mobs would still spawn.
Imagine being able to craft a more "technological" armor using redstone
or maybe use redstone for other types of weaponry, like maybe gauntlets with different strengths

@Leoshortnose You could use the gauntlets for moments like when your weapon breaks, that way you could use your hands.
Redstone would allow you to give a stronger punch, kinda like how you swing your sword.

I think a lot of these ideas are great as copper doesn’t really have that much use right now besides for building and I think adding stuff like this would give players more of a reason to mine it. nice video
