I recently went on a cruise and this painting reminds me of being on the ship in the ocean as the night approached. I love that the sky in your painting remains dark with just a hint of clouds in the sky. Beautiful!

I love this one… I like the minimalist of it. It’s not so busy and it just looks calm. It does kinda remind me of like a storm scene sky looks dark and mysterious. I love it.
I love this. I wonder if you could do a full moon in the sky with the same technique as the planet pour? Then blow out some clouds around the moon. Tap out some sprinkles of stars.

I love the dark bluish green that framed the water and the extra small swipe at the transition from water to sky. they give the water depth. Really beautiful. I also love how the water reminds me of bioluminesence. like the painting is an abstract of deep under the sea. I can imaging a series of paintings like this with the inky blue negative space and vivid ocean colour swipes, even with highlights of rainbow colours for the bioluminesent sea life. or a different thought, the swipe could be the brilliant light of sea sparkles on a shore line at night when the water is filled with bioluminesence.

I always have a conversation with you while you paint 🤗. I had to give this a go last night and it was sooo much fun! I'm pretty new to swiping and was surprised at how good it turned out. I wasn't brave enough to swipe the sky so I did stars instead.
I had amazing results with the pointy end of a skewer dipped in Amsterdam Yellow Pearl paint making little tiny dots that were larger on top and got smaller as I got closer to the horizon line.
Can't wait to do this again on a larger (than 16x20") canvas, Thanks Molly! You are such an inspiration 😇.

Hello, Molly. I swear to you, when you started marking the dark night sky, I didn't know what to think. I was kind of out of place and I didn't think it would look good. But when I saw it already dry and I could make out those clouds... I loved the ending. Seeing it hanging has been a gorgeous and I'm glad you painted clouds in that dark sky. You get to give it depth. Precious.

A toothbrush with paint on it and a flick of your thumb will give you a starry effect. I do love the bottom and the painting over all. It reminds me of bioluminescence.
I was just going to tell her to do this effect! Great Minds, lol.
Lovely! Y first thought when I saw the dark sky was to flick very fine spots with a toothbrush and thin paint for tiny stars.

I always love watching your videos and you are the reason why I am starting to experiment with doing pour painting, but I am curious as to if there is some way to keep the colors from becoming dull once the painting has dried. I've always had a problem with paint, whether it's painting a house or doing art, where The colors are so beautiful and vibrant when you first paint, but then it changes once the paint dries. You pick some amazing color combinations for so many of your paintings that are so vibrant and beautiful, but then after it dries they look more dull and lose the vibrancy. Any suggestions?
