This is my fav pedal, sounds amazing, better than any clips I have seen. Ranges all manner of great Marshall Plexi tones, I waited a long time before I got one, I know it's been around a bit but gessshhh what a great pedal. NO bad tones in it, all ranges of controls very usable. Got to love the Bogner stuff, just killer engineering.
What an awesome review! I had been considering this pedal for a little while then after watching your review bought one immediately. I really appreciated all the options you showed us.
The structure switch changes the diode type used to generate distortion. If memory serves me correctly its Germanium, Silicon, and Mosfets wired as diodes. The difference is very subtle and even then dependent on how much gain you have it set to.
I bought one used and had it for 6 months playing only at home. It was a great-sounding pedal while it lasted. I really liked it. Then one day I switched on with the "On" button and all was good until I switched it off. The next time I switched it on it didn't turn on. The boost button still worked but nothing from the "On" switch. Looking inside I saw that those buttons are attached to a board and cannot be easily changed out. I emailed Bogner to get some info and they said since it wasn't under warranty because I am not the original owner I could send it in for repair and it would cost me shipping both ways and the cost of the repair. It would have been almost as much as a new pedal price. While it was a great pedal with great sounds the reliability is suspect for me. Those switches really made me not buy another. I did a swap of the two switches thinking maybe it would work but it did not. Too bad because it sounded great when it did work.
Wow! I feel your pain dude. Bogner sounds arrogant… it would have been no trouble to either fix it for free or send a replacement to you.. shortsighted of them and damaging to their reputation…I would have expected them to send you a replacement unit FOC. You’ve just convinced me to get rid of mine. The La Grange is the best of the range and does sound incredible, however……. Lots of switches, lots of unusable settings…
@@Gbhbbgvsbnjhhdchhb why should they replace it for free or fix it for free? It's easy to say that when it is not your business. Did you read the part where he said he bought it used?

This might be just the pedal I need. I have the Kingtone Duelist, but need something for higher gain overdrive without being full on distortion. Thoughts?
Just one quest please? Is it just a Plexi emulator or an overdrive pedal. The point is, could it work good with a VOX AC 30 or it will sound like a Plexi pluged in a Vox? got me? THANKS A LOT AND GREAT JOBBBBB.
I know the demo is very thorough and all but its still a big FAIL. Why? Because he never even mentions what amp he has it plugged into. This is a BIG deal as these type of pedals are voiced to sound their best with one amp. Or a set of similar amps. The amp(s) are most likely a Fender such as a Deluxe, Twin, or Hot Rod deluxe. If your amp isn’t voiced like these there is no guarantee that this or any pedal is going to sound good with it. For example if you have a Vox sounding amp it isn’t going to sound the same with this pedal as a Fender sounding amp. It not just a matter of adding or subtracting highs either as the character of the mids in every amp can be significantly different. Speakers make an equally huge difference here too. A proper review of these types of pedals should include demos of various types of amps being used with them.
It's not until the veeeeeeery end, but he does mention that the amp is a Laney GH30R. Not sure if that's a combo or head and cabinet (or the speaker used), but there ya go.

Are you still digging it? I’m eyeing one…but on the fence.

It’s germanium, mosfet, and LED
Solid playing, it presents the pedal very well. Not over the top, but just right. Great job, thanks.

Great playing! This is a well done review. Appreciate it.

Superb demo & playing. Thank you!!
How does it sound with a p90 les paul?
You didn’t engage the inbuilt boost switch ???
