The dances look nice like this however I much prefer the drama of the new cinematography you guys have been doing this season. I love the zooming in and closeups and angle changes. The first dance of the season broken hearts was done so incredibly. I found it exhilarating the way the camera switched around from the back of the stage, then to the side. Made it much more dramatic! I also love how sometimes you guys do the slow motion when the kids leap up into the air! So pls continue to add the dramatic effects ! Well done! I didn’t enjoy this clip as much cuz it’s kind of only from the front.

Hayley Meyer Obviously none of you are dancers . Musical theater doesn’t win at competitions but this isn’t typical musical theater. This is more of a Lyrical dance all it’s missing is the turns.

This is so much better to watch the dance.
Cinderella X that’s how we know that they perform the dance more than once because there isn’t gonna be a camera man on the stage because you know how they usually take the close up shots. I feel like they perform it once and then perform it again so they can’t take close up shots and edit it into the first dances.
Janidelf Rodriguez it’s very much known they do it twice, once for filming and then again for competition. That’s why we have seen mistakes in group dances from previous seasons that still won.

Paris also did a FANTASTIC job!!! She seems like such a sweet kid and her mom is very level headed. It was hilarious when Studio 19 sent a fruit basket and Paris mom was like "I don't know what the all the fuss us about....it's just fruit". And then she ate it LOL. 😂😂😂💛

I loved Paris' mom. She was so humble on her first competition, when she said Paris was happy and she thought it would be a great opportunity for her to dance with the other kids. While the other mom was like "my kid is the best" 😂😂😂

This might be the best dance in the history of the show (for me). The level of technique is amazing, Gianina and Hannah sold the story. The costumes were great and the fact that they had the rights to use the actual music made it even better. The overall level of technique and entertainment value for this group exceeds the original group in my opinion. They’re both great, but having a boy in the group along with overall really technical dancers is amazing.

My least favorite part of this season is how Abby makes ppl the “lead” but then they don’t truely become front and center until the very end. Like gianina and Hannah were amazing yet we only really saw them together at the end

That's because there's no such thing as a lead dancer in abby’s new choreography. She never puts one person in the middle anymore because she's afraid they'll turn into another maddie.

I disagree, if you know the musical then your eyes are on them the entire dance because it’s literally about them. Of course if you don’t know the prom maybe you wouldn’t notice them as much but trust me my eyes were on them the whole dance

This dance is truly revolutionary. It let a lot of girls see themselves represented. These kids really were a part of something special, and they probably don’t even realize just how big of an impact they made. Sure Abby choreographed it, but these six kids are who made it their own, and Hannah and GiaNina tied it all together and sold the story 🏳️🌈

The choreography in this is outstanding for the characters they were playing!! I think Hannah and GiaNina shined SO much in this dance!!!! I just wish that they were in the center instead of Lilly and Brady all the time. They are all amazing, but for the storyline it makes a lot more sense for Gia and Hannah to be featured more.
Well, it's based on an actual musical called "The Prom", it closed on Broadway nearly a month ago

To be fair, height wise the choice of position makes sense? With Brady being the tallest and Lily being the shortest placing them on an end during a synchronized section may seem weird. Them being center didnt draw my attention away from gia and hannah because they totally owned the dance but i guess i could see why its upsetting? The Gia and Hannah were still the most featured dancers in terms of character moments so it doesn't feel right to pull the favoritism card on this to me

Aari Dula I don't think we watched the same thing because Lily killed it. Her extensions were the best. Her feet were always pointed. Her timing was great. When she did her ariel she was practically standing.

Sunflower ALDC there’s different types of musical theatre. This was more of a jazz piece. The musical theatre that the moms were talking about would be like the group dance bop or nia’s solo damsel in distress

I’ve watched this so many times. Am I the only one that cry’s every time?
I do too ! Being a musical theater girl, I just get the thrill and adrenaline of getting to tell a story. And that amazing feeling of the song ending and the applause coming in and knowing you did amazing, I feel it everytime they start dancing and when the confetti goes flying and it takes me back to performing on stage. Long rant sorry, haha, but that's just why it makes me cry too

i owe a lot to this dance. Watching it introduced me to the musical The Prom, which was one of several things that led me to finally admitting my sexuality, and accepting it for myself. Aside from just being an incredible dance, it holds a special place in my heart because it really did change my life.
Dude this might be the best dance on the new season of dance moms, it’s just so heartwarming and it’s amazing that they get to do dances like this, I loveeeee itttt
I noticed that the 1st and most recent seasons of dance moms are the only seasons to have an upbeat nationals routine lol..
This was a great dance 💃🏾 it had a real Broadway feel to it. Gianina did a great job, I’ve noticed how she moves and their is a crispness to her movements.
I agree with what you said about GiaNina. I was looking for a word to describe her dancing but what you said was perfect. There definitely is a crispness to her dancing that makes me not want to look away when watching her.

I honestly think Hannah comes really out of her shell when she performs. Especially in Musical theatre. She may be shy. But as soon as she steps on that stage she's a different girl. She's proven that multiple times this season. And Gianina is just amazing. No words for her. Those two were really shining in this dance.

This was an incredible dance! My favourite by far,the atmosphere,music and choreography were incredible! Hannah and Gianina were amazing,and I struggled to take my eyes away from Pressley and Paris,I was shocked at how brilliant the two were together

In Lilly and Hannah’s duet there’s a 3years age difference and Abby said Hannah can’t pick up Lilly but in this dance she can pick up GiaNina who is 4months younger than her makes no scene
