Just found this video after watching your rear defuser change 👍 I’ve used cataclean over the years , it got my mates car through a retest mot ( it failed on emissions and the garage told him to get some cataclean and drive around for 30 minutes and return & it actually did reduce his emissions enough to pass ) that would as a petrol car , I found my older petrol car did run smoother after using cataclean , I have a c220 w204 coupe now and put cataclean in it when I first bought it because there was hardly any fuel in it , didn’t notice any difference of course because I was new to the car plus I try to never let a diesel go much below half a tank if I can because of the sludge they build up . My younger brother works in a garage and told me that all the local taxi drivers swear by cataclean and he said that it must do something good because they never get filthy fuel filters or blocked cats etc so I think once I’ve had my coupe a year I will treat it to some cataclean again 😁👍
When it comes to the emissions I can only go by what you and others have said which sounds great! for me personally I did notice initially better morning starting but that was short lived so I never really noticed anything different, presently I would not purchase it again but if there was a time when I may have a emissions problem I may try it once more, thank for the reply....mrix
You can either use keys to open the seal on the bottle or there’s a little pin on the fuel cap door you can use if you’re gentle enough. Been doing it for 2 years now and haven’t ruined the fuel door yet!
Update - I managed finally to get a response from the Official Facebook Cataclean group I posted on, its as I thought Cataclean cannot damage your engine and you can leave it in as long as possible before you require topping up! hope this helps.....mrix
It's recommended to use it 2 to 4 A year also in your vehicles after starting to use it to. I would use up half of that fuel then add your diesel fuel to your tank back up to the full mark line.
You can also add in 2 to 3 ounces of Marvel mystery oil along with the full tank aswell for more added peotection to. It also gives faster results when blended together the first time. Then you just use the cataclean like it's reconmended to do so on the bottle. I'm just helping to get faster results by adding the other as A booster for the cataclean cleaner to.
Tried Cataclean diesel in my Saab TTID when I had a "limited performance" engine warning on the dash and the engine was running a bit rough. Was told it was DPF related after an OBD scan. Seemed to sort both issues out at first, but sadly they have returned a couple of weeks later?
You never know what many of the issues can be, I had what appeared to be a DPF Fault but it was actually the Maf, "mass air flow sensor" which was faulty.
I used this product ( the petrol version) when my car failed its test. The mechanic said it was time for a new catalytic convertor. I used the product just as it said in the instructions. Went for a retest and passed without any problems.
Hi mrix, Do you feel any difference in terms of driving after adding the Catclean, I feel my exhausts are partially blocked, i found it hard to revup the cat, does the cat clean help in some ways to unclog the blockage and make the drive smoother? thank you
Hi Richard, my mileage on my Mercedes is 85,000 miles and to be honest it made no difference to the way the car drives, initially within the video the starting appeared to improved but that was very short lived, for me personally from the results I made I would not be buying Cataclean again, at the end of the day unless you can clearly see results you have no idea if it works or not.... mrix

It worked for you mate wich is good I've done a dpf soot clean percentage with my obd reader and the stuff has made no difference at so dpf soot levels the same

Hi Mike when you say its worked on every car, what were the noticeable benefits ? for me personally its not something I would bother purchasing again as on my Diesel I never noticed much of a difference, I tend to now simply use the better quality Diesel fuel which does the same job etc.... mrix

I am away in Thailand on holiday at the moment and the car is at Heathrow airport parked up for a month.... there is a lot of positive on the stuff but how much it actually cleans ? its hard to say... I did notice my starting in the mornings has been better prior to the holiday so that's a subtle difference I suppose and at the end of the day I have not broke the bank as its fairly inexpensive... please let me know if you notice anything your end, for me I need to put a fair few more miles in I think... thanks mrix
Hi Susan, apparently you do have to drive for at least 15 miles as you say but before filling up you can let your tank run to almost empty to do a far better clean job, this was explained when I contacted the manufacturer... mrix

I've just had a 43yr old healthy friend die of a heart attack on Saturday, he got his booster jab on friday..but its definitely nothing to do with that.

@@mrix it turned off the check engine light an they weren't passing smog cuz of the cat but after using it my SUV passed smog
