I don't mark my bibles, I enter the text into a spreadsheet. As you grow, different verses will jump out at you but if you have them marked all you will note is the highlighted text.
I don't think your comment is going to get the attention it deserves. If you use a spreadsheet, your notes are not limited by what the margin will allow. It allows for referencing across different Bibles (yeah, Douay-Rheims psalms are numbered differently but that's hardly a show stopper). Many spreadsheet applications allow for versions so as you change your mind about what should be "highlighted" you still have your previous notes in the same place you have your current notes so you not only don't lose your previous notes you have convenient access to them with information on the time and date you made changes. You don't need to buy new bibles for more "highlights" or highlight over previous highlights where you might as well get a paintbrush with translucent ink to sweep over each page. You can share your "highlights" and "margin notes" with any number of other people. And on and on and on. As for the "romantic" aspect of using a highlighter because spreadsheets might seem too "tech" I'm old enough to remember when highlighters where a new thing, a technical innovation, if you will, so even the romantic argument really shouldn't hold much water especially since spreadsheets have been around for several decades nowadays. Come to think of it, around 1980 I remember working on an Apple IIe with its killer app, the VisiCalc spreadsheet. Isn't that as romantic as a highlighter pen?
I appreciate this comment. This describes EXACTLY my thoughts on the matter. I struggle with the same thing when I borrow a friend's book with underline markings. I spend more time trying to figure out what they were thinking, rather than trying to gain my own insights. Just how my brain works I guess.

I have a small “travel Bible” (KJV with NT and Psalms.) I bought it in college and have had it for years because it is zippered, so it completely closes and the pages can’t get bent or crushed when I toss it in my backpack or suitcase. I wish more Bibles had this feature.
That's a really good approach to Bibles. I have the Didache Study, amongst others, and found it invaluable for my studies in seminary. Great video, sir.

I'm interested in getting the great adventure Bible. How has it worked for you? I think I'd like the narrative approach, but does it have a lot of study notes. I've also heard good things about the Didache, but I don't see a reason as to why I can not get both.
I agree 100% with your choices. (I have all of them myself!) My only suggestion would be to add a fourth bible to your list for referencing certain passages that might be translated too loosely in modern versions. So, I would add the DOUAY RHEIMS BIBLE to the list. Great review and channel! 👍
Top 3 bibles every Catholic should own: 1. Douay Rheims Challoner (the gold standard) 2. Ignatius NT study bible 3. Didache (RSV2CE) (is much better than the Great Adventure Bible)
Just ordered a little 'travel' Bible like yours. Love the fact it has the Psalms in it. I love my Great Adventure Bible and have a Ignatius old and new on order. I also have The Divine Mercy Bible RSV2CE It's beautiful. Don't really like my NABRE Study Bible as much as the RSV2CE versions. Thanks for sharing your thoughts
God richly bless you brother, as for me I find most enlightening the Word on Fire Bible, and of the four volumes so far published, I specially treasure the one on the gospels and volume 2 on the letters and revelations. I ordered the Ignatious Complete Study Bible that will be out this month. Love in Christ from Venezuela❤
I just found your channel 😁 I like your recommendations especially on the Ignatius Press New Testament and psalms. It’s my everyday Bible. I use it with my Missal to follow the daily readings. That’s the current Bible study plan I use right now. I have 40 Bibles, all translations, study, teen, Douay, dating from 1888 to present. No KJV. my favorite translation is RSVCE and then Jerusalem. Thanks for the video.
My every day Bible is the Catholic Women's Devotional Bible. I use both the Didache and the Great Adventure for study. I need to find a travel Bible that has a print large enough to read.
As for study Bibles - I like the Navarre Bible Series. Extensive commentary from the Church Fathers, CCC, St J. Escriva. As a bonus, it offers the Latin Translation of the Scripture below the commentary. And the Ignatius Catholic Study Bible. Dr Scott Hahn helped put this one together. These 2 complement each other well. Which translation is the Didache ? Seems like most study bibles use the RSV. The Douay-Rheims is my favorite. It seems to contain more a more detailed translation.
The problem with external tabs is that, if not careful, you might tear it out with half the page. Speaking from painful experience :) So if u need indents, buy a Bible that has indented tabs. But better is to buy a Bible without tabs so u learn where exactly the books are. Also, i recommend the NIV Cultural Background Study Bible. Though it's Protestant and missing books, the notes do not hesitate to make references to the Deuterocanonicals. There's nothing like this is u want to understand the literal sense.
Ya need the Ignatius Catholic Study Bible (New Testament) edited by Scott Hahn. I highlight in the margins, though it looks nice, not too precious to highlight or write notes, but I don't like highlighting directly over scripture. Probably best modern commentary on Revelation etc.
Wow I use the Great Adventure Bible for everyday reading and I also use the Didacahe for reading thru the Bible in a year and reading all the notes and articles! I bought the hardcover one and then had it done over with fine leather covers.
Didache is more about the CCC than about the bible. Great for linking the two, but not a good study bible in itself. Like everyone else I either have to look to the past like Haydock (the fathers commentaries referenced there are timeless after all) while looking with anticipation to the future of the Ignatius Catholic study bible OT. Also, I don't write in books generally, much less a bible. Notebooks and journals exist for a reason. (And the recent run of Exceed brand journals from Walmart are surprisingly high quality for the price, so I don't carry a 70¢ spiral bound with pages falling out with my leather-bound gilt-edged bible. )
You forgot the most important, the Douay Rheims. If you are serious about the Word of God you need the Douay Rheims. Forget about the thous and the thees and all that nonsense, check it out and the notes and the depth and great for preaching. Beautiful bible powerful. I have all those bibles everything from the esv to the Kjv and everything in between and even though I love all them nothing comes close to the Douay Rheims bible for me. Thanks for the upload. 🙏🙌
Great review. I have lots of good bibles, too. I have the Great Adventure Bible, the Word on Fire Bible, and several others. I am planning to get the Didache Bible because it has unique features that I haven't seen anywhere else. I have noticed that you haven't made a video on 3 years. Why? This channel seemed so promising. Start making videos again.
I am searching for a bible I can carry in my bag. The one at home is a large hard cover I can't hold properly. And I am in Canada. You cannot find a bible in a Chapters/Indigo for some reason. The religious books stores charge too much for a leather bound. Amazon in my last choice and I am waiting for a sale.
I dont write in any book. Not even college textbooks, novels, or anything. Thats what a notebook is for, and I always considered it a vandalization of a book to write in it. Thats just me though. They really out to print study bibles that have wide margins and blank pages specifically for note taking.
1 Corinthians 15:1-4 KJV Bible [1] Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand; [2] By which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain. [3] For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; [4] And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures: Ephesians 2:8-9 KJV Bible [8] For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: [9] Not of works, lest any man should boast. Romans 10:9-13 KJV Bible [9] That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. [10] For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. [11] For the scripture saith, Whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed. [12] For there is no difference between the Jew and the Greek: for the same Lord over all is rich unto all that call upon him. [13] For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved. John 3:16 KJV Bible For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. John 14:6 KJV Bible Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.
I have the same bibles you have except for the Didache. I too, cannot bring myself to write in the Ignatius Press bible. I use it everyday for meditation studies. Almost without exception, I feel the creamy pages when I open it. I have a small protestant esv for writing because it has journalling margins. The Didache is on my list however. I am in a bible study with a woman who uses this, and I am coveting it. Thanks for the video!
For my fellow TradCaths, there is a Duay Rheims Bible with the Vulgata side by side. It's pricey, but it's stunning. I also recommend the NRSVCE, Illustrated Catholic Bible for the folks that want a premium Bible. There are many that are not into that translation, though. For my fellow Spanish Speaking Caths, there are a couple of them I recommend. The Great Adventure Bible is available in Spanish, same with the Illustrated Catholic Bible (finally a premium Bible in Spanish). There's also a little one I take to mass, the letherette "La Santa Biblia" Editiorial San Pablo. I also love "La Biblia de Jerusalén", big print edition. Special mention: Word on Fire Bible, Bishop Barron is doing an a ma zing job with those, IDK if they are available in Spanish though! Both of these three are great recommendations, I also recommend you guys the little Manual for Spiritual Warfare, by Paul Thigpen
I’m loving this new channel! Subscribed and am looking forward to your new content! I’m gonna start working towards my “three Bibles” :) I definitely need something to travel with haha.
Thank you so much for your kind words! It’s great that you’re working toward your three Bibles-it’s so huge and important for us as Catholics to dive into the Word more!
@@PopeCulture I’d been thinking about it for some time but this video felt like a sign that I needed to set a Bible aside - especially for study! Would love a virtual Bible Study for beginners! And to hear more about each of your favorite Bibles for each category of use!
I asked Word on Fire to send me one but they haven’t yet! I’d love to do a review of one...maybe I’ll just have to pony up the money and buy one myself!
I also like the word on fire 4 gospel bible. But I wish they would have a compact/travel version. I also have the compact ignatius NT version. But what the word of fire bible special are the commentaries, just a little big for travel purposes
i also have 3. 1. Ascension Press - Great Adventure Bible (RSVCE 2) 2. Ignatius Press - Catholic Study Bible (RSVCE 2) 3. New Americal Bible Revised Edition
I rededicated my life to the Lord in January . I have been using Bible apps . I recently purchased the New Testament Bible first edition no# 376 of 1,000 made KJV I am about to order a very expensive ESV Bible . I am still learning about study notes . I just use my notes app to add verses , notes and things . I am not keen on or never have writing in the Bible . Not my thing. The one I’m I have and the one I’m getting are way too beautiful looking not to mentioned just feel sacred and of reverence as it’s the Word Of God. I would like to find a good Hebrew and Greek study Bible to pull out the actual word of its actual meaning .
Buyer beware of great adventure Bible: So, the modernist interpretation of Joshua 10:12-14 seems to be starkly in contrast to Sts. Augustine, Ambrose and John Chrysostom. But hey, they are only Doctors of the Church and the theology of the 20 and 21st centuries has been so rock solid. 🤔
I'm a Bible Snob so I have: 1) Douay/Rheims, 2) New American Bible and 3)New Revised Standard Version. I like the notes of the Douay. I DONT LIKE THE NOTES OF THE NAB unless I need to know a liberal Christian viewpoint. The NRSV is easier to understand than the Douay.
Great question! We haven't had any trouble with our Ignatius Bible not sitting flat--we have a leather-bound softcover version and haven't had any issues. It's proven to be durable and a quality everyday-carry Bible--I lugged it around in my backpack throughout college for a few years and it's held up great!
Great job on the video. I like how you kept it simple. I am just starting to read The Great Adventure Bible and I am finding it intimidating. I am not to familiar with the Catholic Faith and I thought I was. I had to order a copy of The Catholic Catechism because The Great Adventure Bible does reference it on certain articles. Prior to the Great Adventure Bible I was reading a Christina Bible with 66 books . It still my favorite Bible. Its called the Living Insights Study Bible by Charles Swindoll and its the NIV version. I understand it better and Charles Swindoll does a great job of explaining how to apply Scripture to every day life. That Bible is no longer in print but you can still find it used. Please let me know if there is a Catholic Bible in NIV as I understand that better. Once I understand I would like to get the The Didache Bible or Ignatuis Press Study Bible.
The NIV Bible is a Protestant translation. I like it also, but they don’t make a Catholic version of it. It doesn’t include all the books in the Catholic canon.
I have the Hardcover RSVCE Bible from Oxford University Press. It has a section on Catholic prayers and devotions, and even a nice little Miraculous Medal on the Zipper. The only downsides is the print is small and it has no tassle bookmarks.
I have that burgundy Ignatius Bible also and felt the same way .I wouldn’t even mark in it … while reading on my back porch , I just spilt tea on it 😂😂😂😂
Such a good question! I have found a few on Amazon that work really well for me. They aren't typical highlighters in that they're more waxy and gel-like, but they bleed a lot less than a typical highlighter would. They're not perfect, but the best solution I've found. Here's a link: www.amazon.com/Twist-Glide-Gel-Bible-Highlighters/dp/B00NF6PAJC/ref=sxts_sxwds-bia-wc-drs1_0?cv_ct_cx=bible%2Bhighlighters&dchild=1&keywords=bible%2Bhighlighters&pd_rd_i=B00NF6PAJC&pd_rd_r=e981fe8c-d9d5-4c24-9b55-377a0da39661&pd_rd_w=3lL5X&pd_rd_wg=Z9qAt&pf_rd_p=f3f1f1cd-8368-48df-ac69-94019fb84e3f&pf_rd_r=K79YA9BZ0F16P1K1KQAN&qid=1599593721&sr=1-1-f7123c3d-6c2e-4dbe-9d7a-6185fb77bc58&th=1
I’d just like to share mine. I’m using Zebra Mildliner, I think the color is called lemon yellow, which leans toward light gold yellow. I find it warm and pleasing to the eyes. I’m not sure if “bleeding” is the right term, but I guess there’s a little of shadow at the back of the paper - nothing too distracting though. It works perfectly well for me. I also use Frixion PASTEL highlighter, the goldish one, to highlight verses but with less emphasis than the Zebra which has a stronger color. And it’s erasable btw if you don’t know. I couldn’t find the link but you maybe you could. www.amazon.com/Zebra-Pen-Mildliner-Highlighter-12-Count/dp/B07Z8KWBD9
Why is there a 50 second Mr Coffee commercial at the beginning of a video about bibles? Why no “New American Bible” (official American Catholic biblr)?
This is the highlighter brand we currently use-basically if you go with more of the waxy, pastel kind of highlighters it will stick on the surface of the paper and won’t bleed through like a lot of gel highlighters do! Twist and Glide Gel Bible... www.amazon.com/dp/B00NF6PAJC?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share
Believe it or not Crayola Twistable Crayons (not pencils) make wonderful Bible markers if you use the light colors like yellow and green. They appear light and transparent - just right as a highlighter. They’re not heavy like regular crayons. You can get them in a small box of about 8.
for me a portable / EDC Bible is an iPAD. i can’t imagine lugging around a thick paper Bible when the iPad can have everything needed in a fraction of the footprint
The Confraternity N.T, frin the 1940s is the superior pocket N.T. in that format to carry around for travel use. It is far and away the best N.T. that the 20th century produced and is very orthodox, elegantly worded, and the most reliable Bible, Catholic or Protestant, that the Romish Church produced and authorised.
Could you perhaps do a video about the burgundy bible you showed and used in high school? I'm leaning towards buying that one because of the beauty. I'd love my Bible to have some decent references for a lighter kind of studying the Bible.
I am looking for a good study bible with a wide margin for notes. Thinking about the Little Rock Catholic Study Bible. Have you reviewed that bible by chance? Any thoughts on that bible? If not could you offer suggestions for other study bibles than the one you suggested in this video? Thank you so much! Fight the good fight. Appreciate you and all you do.
We haven’t reviewed the Little Rock Catholic Study Bible, sorry! It looks nice, though! It’s not a study Bible, but my wife recommends the Blessed Is She Journaling Bible for lots of note taking. Our Sunday Visitor makes one called the Catholic Notetaking Bible too. If we find a study Bible with big margins we’ll let you know-thanks so much for your kind words and encouragement!!
I liked the video BUT you did not mention if the Old testement is included. I am searching for a very good Bible that contains both the old and new testement. I have a friend who is starting to study the Abrahamic religions and I offered to buy a Bible.
The Great Adventure Bible unfortunately has a glued binding. Not good! It's also "red letter," i.e., Christ's words are in red. I like black letter only. The red letter is light and difficult to read. And the GAB around $60, which is way overpriced. A much better everyday bible is the Ignatius Press RSV2CE leather one, which you showed. It has a sewn binding, and is less than $30. You can buy two for the price of one GAB. The Didache is great. Unfortunately, it lacks the translator's notes. That's it's only drawback IMO. I like the Ignatius NT Study bible a little better. (It's only NT now, but I understand a full version is on the way, probably sometime in 2021.) The notes by Curtis Mitch and Scott Hahn are terrific. (The RSV2CE is the best modern English translation IMO. But it's still a Protestant translation. Every Catholic needs a copy of the Douay Rheims Challoner version.) I agree with you about the Ignatius NT travel version. Great little bible.
Trad Cath I am finding the synthetic leather binding on the Great Adventure Bible to be a bit disappointing long term-there are just so many really quality resources inside it for beginners that I still have to recommend it! For a more “adult” or mature reading I do love and recommend any of the Ignatius bibles-I also love their NT Study Bible and I’ll definitely be picking up a version of their completed Old Testament one too if/when it comes out!
@@PopeCulture Hi. I do not find the GAB to be much of a "study bible." There are a few articles, but very few verse notes. Nothing like the Didache or Ignatius Study Bible, or any of the Protestant study bibles, e.g., the ESV Study Bible. Another bible you might want to consider is the New Catholic Bible, ("NCB") put out by St. Joseph Press. It's a new and fairly literal translation. I find its rendering of various verses (e.g., Isaiah 7:14) to be much more faithful and orthodox (small o) than the NABRE. It's not as elegant as the RSVCE, but I think the NCB is solid. (The NCB is not as wildly gender-inclusive as, e.g., the NRSVCE or the NIV. It takes more of a middle ground, like the ESV.)
IMO I think GAB is a solid study bible WHEN coupled with the online study and/or the Walking with God book. By itself, yeah maybe not. But since I’m using it with other references such as the ones mentioned earlier, and other commentaries, I find it excellent. Plus it uses RV2CE and that’s always a big thing for me. But thanks for pointing out the NCB, I’ll try to get a copy!
RSV is protestant translation. But RSVCE is different, it had been modified and adapted by Catholic Biblical Association. The editors' stated aim for the RSV Catholic Edition was "to make the minimum number of alterations, and to change only what seemed absolutely necessary in the light of Catholic tradition." RSV2CE = The Ignatius Edition "was revised according to [the norms of] Liturgiam Authenticam, 2001" and approved under the same [i.e. 1966] imprimatur by the Secretariat for Doctrine and Pastoral Practices, National Council of Catholic Bishops on February 29, 2000.
Did you know the KJV 1611 is the only bible they can't change. As other companies can write a bible and change wording but not the KJV 1611. They are not allowed to make no copyright changes to the 1611 original version.
I have to say I absolutely 100% disagree with your choice---of coffee makers! If it doesn't put out 10 or 12 cups at a time it isn't worthy to fit on my counter. BUT I am willing to not let this be a point of seperation for us. Great info on the bibles BTW.
The Didache Bible has some very troubling Modernist notes. For example, Genesis 21, the notes say "The Church holds both the Jewish and Muslim faiths in great respect" Picking up my copy of the Clear Quran, going to 4:231-232 for example, there it says "The Messiah, Jesus, was no more than messenger of God...So believe to God and His messengers and do not say 'Trinity" Stop!" This is only one example of the doctrinal errors in the notes of the Didache. In fact it has entire pages of apologetics that contain messages contrary to the Dogma that you would find for example in a copy of Ott's Fundamentals of Catholic Dogma. I bought 3 copies of the Didache bible. Two were for giving to others but now I don't know what to do with them since I can't give someone a Bible that contains things that don't follow basic Catholic principles.
I wish I could have these Bible but they are so expensive i have other boble but i am Catholic these are the ones i so need in my lie but now i have no money and i pray i dont lose my house we are good holy people and pray that He will provide more still thank you for this great video

Come to think of it, around 1980 I remember working on an Apple IIe with its killer app, the VisiCalc spreadsheet. Isn't that as romantic as a highlighter pen?
That's a great observation. It's the very reason I am reluctant to mark books -- any book.

NABRE is my jam. A nice compromise between liberal and conservative sensibilities. The NRSV’s ‘fishers of people’ grates on my ears.
Yes!! Fantastic!!
How can I buy 1 PCs of didacahe bible in South Korea
@@synopsissamurai350 If you choose what the Pope says and religious traditions of man above the book of Romans, why do you need a Bible ???
The Divine Mercy Catholic Bible is my everyday Bible ane The Great Adventure Catholic Bible is my study Bible.
My 3 favorite are the Douay-Rheims Bible, Orthodox Study Bible & New American Bible 1991. Honorable mention to the ESV-CE & Lexham English Septuagint.
Wonderful review - thank you.
The catholic edition of the ESV is pretty good too.
Catholic ESV? Awesome. I'm pretty sure my Christian bookshop has a Reformation bias happening.
@@d0g_0f_Christ0s you would win the bet.
Need to specify the translation for each. I do not thetranslation for the first two. Thank you for adding this in the future.
I dont write in any book. Not even college textbooks, novels, or anything. Thats what a notebook is for, and I always considered it a vandalization of a book to write in it. Thats just me though.
They really out to print study bibles that have wide margins and blank pages specifically for note taking.
I chose my Bible at our local Catholic Shop due to one reason.... it was the only LARGE PRINT they had! 😊
Amen!
No good, choose wisely the kjv is the best

Thanks as i have been looking so i get the adventure one
I have the same bibles you have except for the Didache. I too, cannot bring myself to write in the Ignatius Press bible. I use it everyday for meditation studies. Almost without exception, I feel the creamy pages when I open it. I have a small protestant esv for writing because it has journalling margins. The Didache is on my list however. I am in a bible study with a woman who uses this, and I am coveting it. Thanks for the video!
The esv now comes in a Catholic edition.
I have the Great Adventure Bible but I also read Douay-Rheims & Clementina Vulgata Bible which is in English and Latin
I would just like to point-out that you can get that same copy of The Didache Bible from Catholic Answers.
Edit: and for about $20 cheaper.
Thank you! Very helpful!

Excellent! Thank you.
i also have 3.
1. Ascension Press - Great Adventure Bible (RSVCE 2)
2. Ignatius Press - Catholic Study Bible (RSVCE 2)
3. New Americal Bible Revised Edition
I rededicated my life to the Lord in January . I have been using Bible apps . I recently purchased the New Testament Bible first edition no# 376 of 1,000 made KJV
I am about to order a very expensive ESV Bible .
What about Knox Bible for every day?
This is about my third time coming across this video, and the "handy-dandy tassles" part gets me every time.
I agree...ribbons.....!
What is the proper translation..?
@@joshualeboeuf2926 well the Douy Rheims is the best translation, but I said "interpretation" referring to the commentary
The NRSV is easier to understand than the Douay.
ive heard the Ignatius press bible doesnt sit flat or has trouble doing it, is this true? i want to get a great adventure bible but it isnt sewn
Great question! We haven't had any trouble with our Ignatius Bible not sitting flat--we have a leather-bound softcover version and haven't had any issues. It's proven to be durable and a quality everyday-carry Bible--I lugged it around in my backpack throughout college for a few years and it's held up great!
Awesome video - cheers bro from Australia
Does the second Bible, the Didache Bible, have the words of Christ printed in red?
Do you know what the font size is of the Great Adventure Bible?
Thanks for showing us your addiction.. nice to see you like coffee
Thanks for the video
Would like to purchase the great adventure Catholic Bible BUT it is 161.20 plus tax Canadian. I can’t swing that right now unfortunately.
Hello, thanks for your video. I would like to know if for the study bible if they have the Spanish version? Thanks
Anyone know what Catholic bibles have the creeds in them
I have the Hardcover RSVCE Bible from Oxford University Press. It has a section on Catholic prayers and devotions, and even a nice little Miraculous Medal on the Zipper. The only downsides is the print is small and it has no tassle bookmarks.
In Nigeria where can I buy the 3every day bible or they be downloaded
I wouldn't feel comfortable marking up, writing or scribbling in any Bible. It is a treasure to be cared for and preserved.
It would be great if you could do a video about the Confraternity N.T.
Watch out for Bible Glutony
yes more on each
I’ve never seen that small Ingatius Bible
I have that burgundy Ignatius Bible also and felt the same way .I wouldn’t even mark in it … while reading on my back porch , I just spilt tea on it 😂😂😂😂
Can I ask what highlighters you use in your Bibles? Have you found any that won't bleed through?
Such a good question! I have found a few on Amazon that work really well for me. They aren't typical highlighters in that they're more waxy and gel-like, but they bleed a lot less than a typical highlighter would. They're not perfect, but the best solution I've found. Here's a link: www.amazon.com/Twist-Glide-Gel-Bible-Highlighters/dp/B00NF6PAJC/ref=sxts_sxwds-bia-wc-drs1_0?cv_ct_cx=bible%2Bhighlighters&dchild=1&keywords=bible%2Bhighlighters&pd_rd_i=B00NF6PAJC&pd_rd_r=e981fe8c-d9d5-4c24-9b55-377a0da39661&pd_rd_w=3lL5X&pd_rd_wg=Z9qAt&pf_rd_p=f3f1f1cd-8368-48df-ac69-94019fb84e3f&pf_rd_r=K79YA9BZ0F16P1K1KQAN&qid=1599593721&sr=1-1-f7123c3d-6c2e-4dbe-9d7a-6185fb77bc58&th=1
My theo peeps also use colored pencils to highlight!

Why is there a 50 second Mr Coffee commercial at the beginning of a video about bibles? Why no “New American Bible” (official American Catholic biblr)?
Brother i want the latin bible how i will get that latin bible
What do you use for a highlighter that doesn't bleed through the paper. Thanks
Paper Bibles don’t need to be charged.
We will add it to our list of videos to make for you! We love that Bible and will definitely share our thoughts! :)
@@PopeCultureLooking forward to it!

Good for you.
I liked the video BUT you did not mention if the Old testement is included. I am searching for a very good Bible that contains both the old and new testement. I have a friend who is starting to study the Abrahamic religions and I offered to buy a Bible.
very informative and inspiring!!! thank you. In the Name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit. Amen.
Thanks for presenting these versions of the Bible
How many converts to Catholicism have you made ?
I use the same everyday Bible. The other 2 you showed were ones I was always interested in
The Great Adventure Bible unfortunately has a glued binding.
Every Catholic needs a copy of the Douay Rheims Challoner version.)
I agree with you about the Ignatius NT travel version.
The editors' stated aim for the RSV Catholic Edition was "to make the minimum number of alterations, and to change only what seemed absolutely necessary in the light of Catholic tradition."
RSV2CE =
The Ignatius Edition "was revised according to [the norms of] Liturgiam Authenticam, 2001" and approved under the same [i.e. 1966] imprimatur by the Secretariat for Doctrine and Pastoral Practices, National Council of Catholic Bishops on February 29, 2000.
Wasn't expecting that voice lol.
Thank you for this video. All the ones you mentioned are wonderful Bibles that I really want to get in the future. God bless.
Did you know the KJV 1611 is the only bible they can't change. As other companies can write a bible and change wording but not the KJV 1611. They are not allowed to make no copyright changes to the 1611 original version.
Thank you for the video, the Great Adventure Bible is on my wish list :) Does the Didache Bible contain the text of the Didache? Merci!
Wonderful! :) The Didache Bible does not contain the text of the Didache, so it's a little misleading in its name.

I have to say I absolutely 100% disagree with your choice---of coffee makers! If it doesn't put out 10 or 12 cups at a time it isn't worthy to fit on my counter. BUT I am willing to not let this be a point of seperation for us. Great info on the bibles BTW.
Everyone needs the Knox Version.
The Didache Bible has some very troubling Modernist notes. For example, Genesis 21, the notes say "The Church holds both the Jewish and Muslim faiths in great respect"
Picking up my copy of the Clear Quran, going to 4:231-232 for example, there it says "The Messiah, Jesus, was no more than messenger of God...So believe to God and His messengers and do not say 'Trinity" Stop!"
This is only one example of the doctrinal errors in the notes of the Didache.
