I’m from El Salvador 🇸🇻 (Central America) and this kind of house is a mansion here lol it’s like a dream house in my country and I love it !! 💗 it’s amazing 😍
Yes definitely a rich people house
This is gonna sound really weird and I’m gonna sound really stupid but what currency do you guys use there...heh

What a nice build in honor of Hispanic Heritage month :) As someone who grew up in Puerto Rico and have visited different Places in the Caribbean and Central America, the one thing that you could change to make this more accurate is to change the wood floors for tile floors. Tile floors are pretty standard in the tropics everywhere including bedrooms.
Yeah, well hispanics are from Spain not from south america, people from south america are latinos
Adri X Hispanics are anyone who speaks the Spanish language, actually. Latinos generally refer to those who come from Latin American countries. Hispanic Heritage celebrates anyone who speaks the Spanish language, including those from Spain.
@@rainbowyahi Originally hispanics would be anyone who come from Spain and Portugal since it comes from the word Hispania, given by the romans to the iberian peninsula. It can also be applied to ppl who migrated to america during the colonization (and therefore to its descendants). Nowadays the word is used to refer to both south americans and spanish ppl (but not portuguese or brazilians, funnily enough) due to the influence of the USA, because they just call everyone hispanic if that person speaks spanish.
Originally, latino refers to those who speak a language that derives from latin (french, spanish, portuguese, italian and romanian) also called "romance languages". Anyone that speaks any of those languages as a mothertongue would be considered "latino". So someone that was born in France could be called latino but not hispanic, someone born in Spain or Portugal would be latinos and hispanics as well, and someone born in Colombia is also a latino not because he was born in south america else because of the language he/she speaks. That person could also be called hispanic if his/her ancestors would have come from any of the countries in the iberian peninsula.
But nowadays, as I said, the words hispanic and latino have been oversimplified due to the influence of the United States and anyone from south america (except Brazil, for some reason), central america and caribean is latino, while spanish and portuguese arent.

Really? Tile flooring sounds very cold! Is that really comfortable?!!!
(I hope I'm not offensive ,I'm just wondering)
I’m a Mexican Hispanic and this would be a rich person house, my family is kinda poor in Mexico so we send them money from the states. But I love the house, my dream home!!
Lol the whole build all I could think was that this family was loaded
I think it's really hard to do a Hispanic house cause we Hispanics are soooo diverse. in Argentina, our homes have more tile instead of wood: in the bedrooms, bathroom, kitchen ... well, in every room. and our houses are kinda tiny. but what I said may not be accurate for every Hispanic country. I LOVED the building tho. thank you for doing it, it's amazing!!
It looks like Mexican home inside but the outside just reminds me of an ancient house in North Vietnam. Peaceful and very nice
This is beautiful. I'm from South America and this type of house seems more Central America and Mexico inspired. It reminds me of the mansions in the novelas I used to watch.
You guys ever get sad when there are all these builders and gamers that make you want to play the sims but then you realize the game is actually kinda unplayable? Feels bad. 🤧 Crying though cause that’s a really nice house. Good job! 😭 Loving the reshade.
So relatable
Having lived in Mexico, this is a fancy home. It is beautiful though.
Edit: at least for Southern Mexico, I have never been to Northern Mexico.
I’m from Northen Mexico, and yes it is a Fancy home, most are just concrete boxes
@@Michelle-mh2tg I figured it was pretty similar there. I wish I had the Sims so I could make a realistic callejón.
yeah it’s more like a rich home in some real estate, most of us living in Latinamerica just live un normal houses or apartments
most of us in America don't live in huge homes that builders often do in the Sims but it is just a game.
@@tinklebelle4792 true, I just thought it was funny because she said she didn't want to make it fancy. Obviously, she doesn't know what it's like in Mexico, so I didn't expect her to make it realistic.
you should build a archaeologist house with a digging site in the backyard.
I’d love to see something like that!!
why would an archaeologist dig their backyard lol
me now looking for something like that lol
BTW, when I lived in Panama, no hardwood floors as they tend to warp with the humidity! We had beautiful Spanish terra cotta tiles, especially imported. Used them EVERYWHERE!
The statue skeleton is a Catrina, it’s Mexican and a tradition from Día de Muertos
I’m just gonna say this but these types of houses tend to have tile floor rather than wood flooring. However it stills looks SOOO GORGEOUS
Edit: Just searched up Hispanic homes. Guess I was kind of wrong 😳😳 All of the houses I’ve lived in and houses I’ve seen when I was younger in Honduras had tile flooring.
she uses Pinterest a lot for inspiration!
im sure that’s what influenced a lot of this build ☺️
I'm from Peru and you're completely right, i've never seen any house with wood flooring in at least the first floor , but i understand that not a lot of ppl like to add tile in their builds.
I guess it depends on where you are. Maybe some people have all wood floors, and some people have all tile floors 🤷♀️
I agree it’s usually tile but wood sometimes too
It depends on the area
Tile floor can have wood color simulating wood so just pretend that is tile floor but simulating wood hehe
I am a proud Latina and this house build made me so happy 🇸🇻 🇭🇳 thanks Dawn for an awesome build! 🤍
This is beautiful! I'm mexican and this would be like a wealthier family home but the style is beautiful I've definitely seen it here a lot :) the skull statue with the dress you were talking about is called a Catrina!
i meant the skeleton statue*
Omg I live in Mexico and for sureeee I would looove to live in these house. 🤩 You capture the Spanish influence in the architecture and the colorfull personality that Mexican people have in the decorations. LOVE IT!! 😍💛🧡💚💙❤️
This style of home in the US is called Spanish Revival. It is SO BEAUTIFULLY MADE! The middle court yard is very reminiscent of the original Mexican homes in the 1900’s that had a driveway circling around a fountain. Great Job!
I live in Brazil and we aren't really Hispanic here, but dang... the living room and the kitchen are so similiar to what we have in grandma houses here!
I imagine the sims meant to include Brazil since the country has a lot more to do with the Hispanic countries in Latin America than Spain, but since it’s "Hispanic Heritage" month on US they made it like that, but you know, Americans can’t really understand the difference between Latinos and Hispanics.
@@Michelle-mh2tg Latinos are from latinoamerica, hispanics are from Spain I dont know why people in northamerica keep calling latinos hispanics, they really think that Spain is in America it’s just pathetic.
@@adrix7157 Yes, Americans don’t know the difference and they usually get mixed up. But also Hispanics are people who come from countries that speak Spanish. Like, most countries in Latin America, Spain and Equatorial Guinea
I love this build! I think instead of the piano a chess table is more accurate to the culture and a guitar.
I love how you build from the top, outside giving it shape.
I don't know if this would be too much work, but maybe could you put a picture of the floor plan at the end of the video. Because I'm really bad at doing these kinds of houses and have trouble following the floor plan when its speed up. Also love ur videos! :)
There's a picture of the floorplan at 22:47, i hope this helps!
@@wufflez7385 thanks! I didnt see it the first time. :)
This is so cute, I've always wanted a house in the sims with this kind of shape. You used the new items very well, I feel so inspired right now!
Ok but how do you resist making every single home have a bookcase door 😳
Whenever I’m really in the mood to play The Sims but lack any inspiration, I can always count on your videos to bring that spark back 💜 Thank you so much for your amazing content!
I’m in love with those hispanic chairs, a really great update overall and completely free! Love the house and garden, so inviting!

This is beautiful! and you interpreted the Hispanic style so well I love it so much!! 😍❤️
Hey Dawn, that skeleton statue with the pretty dress it’s called Catrina
hey, i'm from brazil, so latina but not hispanic! haha
i believe that the skulls and the statue skeleton are to celebrate "dia de los muertos" (the day of the dead) we call it "dia dos finados" in brazil. it's celebrated on october 2nd and it's a huge thing in mexico (i think you've watched the movie coco, it shows a lil bit of that). I believe the skeleton is suposed to be La Catrina.
also, the house is very Central American, i dont think we have similar houses here in South America... Still hispanic, tho haha
the objects we got in game are VERY central american focused. lots of times when i try making houses or apartments that resemble brazilian homes I struggle a lot.
Anyways, your build is beautiful, as always!
It gives Central American vibes maybe also Mexican as well, it looks great btw! the colour scheme works perfectly
If there's anyone here in that wants to hate on Simlicy for making a Hispanic home without being Hispanic herself, please pack up your negativity and take it elsewhere. She did a great job with the knowledge and skills she has. The house looks amazing (like all her other builds) and according to some Hispanics in the comments, it's pretty accurate. Bye 👋
I’m hating oh her because she doesn’t know that hispanics are from Spain, not fron Latinoamerica, (south america) they are latinos, and she should open a geography book
@@adrix7157 Allow me to enlighten you: "Hispanic refers to people who speak Spanish and/or are descended from Spanish-speaking populations, while Latino refers to people who are from or descended from people from Latin America" (Hnm Magazine). That's just one of many sources that say that Hispanic usually refers to Latin America, but can also include Spain. You're being very close-minded and insolent. You should feel ashamed of yourself. Simlicy did a great job to the best of her abilities and you're chosing to dislike it because of your incorrect information.
@@indecisive.325 no, I’m Spanish and hispanic and the hispanic term makes reference to people from Spain, it comes from the old reign of Hispania, (the actual Spain) United States people use that terme wrong, the word that you are searching for is hispano, and, even if I were wrong, it would be impossible to build an hispanic inspired house because right now Spain and Latino America have two completely different styles, and they aren’t even in the same continent, so the word that you are looking for to say that this house is inspired in Latinoamerican architecture is “latinoamerican inspired house” not hispanic inspired house, you can’t build a house based on a language, she is building a house based in a territory, south america, but she still used “hispanic”
@@adrix7157 nobody but people from Spain think this. In the rest of the world or at least in the Americas and UK Hispanic refers to people from Spanish speaking countries. Brazil is one of the few Latin countries that isn’t Hispanic. Latino refers to people from Latin American countries, which includes Brazil.
@@adrix7157 the update was for Hispanic heritage month. Not all Latin American or Hispanic countries have the same style of houses. If you go through the comments people are pointing out things they’ve never seen in different countries. This house isn’t reflective of every Hispanic country, including, but not limited to Spain.
your builds never cease to amaze me omg
This may be my favorite build you've ever done!!
I am obsessed with all your builds and this reshade really brings them all to the next level! Amazing
Live in Uruguay, Latin America and this house it's like a mansion here! Anyways, u are such a great builder and an inspiration for me! 💪🏻
Si, tienes razón pero igual acá en Uruguay las mansiones suelen tener estilo moderno. Es bueno ver a otro Uruguayo aquí :D
I haven't played the sims in months because I haven't been motivated, but this build omgggg it's so beautiful and now I can't resist playing and building something inspired by this lol. You're so talented and creative
This is so pretty. It makes me excited to log back in because I have a family this would perfect for. The landscaping is just gorgeous.
The half wall in the bathroom looked so cool covered in the tile!!
Imagine if u did Marilyn Monroe’s house, in Brentwood. Its the dame style as this and nobody has done it well yet :/
I could listen to you talk allll day your voice is so comforting
One of the best interiors from you yet! I love how colorful this home is, makes me feel cozy and warm! :)
I love the colors and warmth from the “hearth” style decor of the Spanish mission.
I have so enjoyed the Hispanic homes built by yourself and Tonya! Inspiring and must downloads.
Okay WOW!!!! 🤩 This is such a beautiful home! I love the single floor layout because it’s definitely easier when playing with a large family and it’s just so bright and colorful!! Great job!
You see homes just like this with that floor plan in California everywhere. You nailed it!
This is one of my favorite houses you have ever done!
Ive been taking a break from Sims now its time to get back to it. I love this house.
I love this home! It’s so nice! The layout is really good and I feel like it’s super practical for game play as well. I do love the new items that we got in the update. It looks great!
Aww it's such a great house dawn.. I'm in love with it
This house is like a finca of a narco here in México lol! I love it
you actually did an AMAZING job. I used to live in mexico but the only thing i that these are the type of houses that the "richer" would own, for example, people who live on ranches
I love the use of color! It just makes it look like such a happy home😊
Love your builds. This is the kind of home the game should have shipped with for Oasis.

hey greetings from costa rica, i really liked this building, this house is considered kinda like a mansion here! i love how everything is cluttered and colorful, thats a very latin american thing. this house looks very mexican in my opinion (especially because chimneys and rugs all are pretty unusual in central america because it is very hot).

A gorgeous build I really like the layout. Thanks for all your hard work.
I loved your Spanish-style mansion. But I absolutely ADORE this home.
And congratulations! 🎊🎉🍾
Spanish?? Seriously?? Spanish?? Spanish people are from Spain, this isn’t even hispanic, which makes reference to people from Spain, this build is latino inspired, why are you guys so ignorant?? Spain is in Europe and South America is in America, they aren’t even in the same continent, you should open a geography book
@@adrix7157 First of all, my statement about the Spanish-style mansion was past tense. That means I wasn’t referring to this home. Learn grammar, imbecile.
Second, the fact that she’s not even referencing the geography makes you look more idiotic. So, allow me to educate you. The title is “Hispanic Family Home”. If you pick up an encyclopedia, you’ll find that, I quote, “Hispanic includes people only from Spanish-speaking Latin America, including those countries/territories of the Caribbean or from Spain itself.”
You just made yourself look very ignorant by not only jumping to the conclusion that I’m some dumb ass who doesn’t know the difference between Latin America & Spain, but that My statement was about this current build. You may have had a valid point if the video were incorrectly titled, “Latin Family Home”. And what’s crazy is that you said “South America is in America.” Maybe you should open a geography book.
