this is such a fun house! im not gonna lie when i heard the story i was so shocked because you literally described my family. my dad is a builder and my mum (although she isn't a full time gardener) has kept a garden as long as i can remember. they're both really old and didn't think they were able to have kids before me. now we live in a house that my parents build and my dad is renovating it from this old vacation shack into my mums dream house.
edit! i also wanted to mention that i love the reshade! its super pretty and i'd love to see more videos with it :)

Okay so I'm gonna sound un-sim-educated but what does reshade mean? Is it a mod? I can tell everything has crisper lines, darker shadows etc....is that what it is?
Rebel Hexx reshade is a mod that works on a lot of games. it’s basically a way to change up graphics and things like saturation and lighting and stuff to personalize the way the game looks. there’s a lot of downloadable presets. the one used in this video is linked in the description i think.
I like the re-shade! I actually like it better that the other one you use, tough it does give the build a certain cozy, romantic character that may not match every kind of build. But if you enjoy using it definitely do, and don't worry about the mesh issue!
I personally LOVE how the reshade looks!! Makes everything look more defined but rich at the same time? Also... this has got to be my new favorite build. It’s so dreamy and cozy ✨

You wanted honesty, so here it goes! Love the look of the reshade on this build (works for an autumnal look), but I’m not sure I’d like it with all builds. I agree that it has a cartoonish look. It just seems very dark and maybe that is because of this world...it’s always raining and a little darker in Brindleton Bay😉
The re-shade is awesome - it takes time to get comfortable with it... But that happend really fast so.
I Really like it and don't mind if you use it more often 😉😉

I’m honestly in the middle with the re-shade because I don’t like how harsh the shadows are, but everything else looks gorgeous. I say use it every once in a while.

I actually REALLY liked the kitchen. The cabinets didn’t match the counters in color and vibe, but I honestly love that about it. It’s super homey and makes me feel warm. Please keep doing that sort of thing. It adds way more realism and fun to the build.

I think the reshade is perfect for cozy builds like this and I think it would be INCREDIBLE for fall builds. I prefer your old reshade for brighter summery builds but we love you and will watch no matter what!

I love how the reshade makes the house looks. I'm not the biggest fan how it makes the plants/flowers look. They are a little too bright for me personally. But the buildings and the colors on that look amazing with it! Like you said it makes it look more three dimensional. It's really pretty. 😊

This house came out sooo pretty! I love the landscaping and that little garden shed! *chef's kiss* also the living room really does look so cute and cozy. And the piano trick blew my mind, it annoys me that there would be a giant grand piano and not your run of the mill piano you'd find in a family home. I'll definitely be using that trick in my builds.
I think the re-shade is really pretty - it gives the game an almost illustrated quality.
I don't know that I'd enjoy it on every build, but I think every now and then it'd provide some visual difference.

This build is beautiful. I loved the backstory you gave for the family as well. Yes please keep using that reshade. I think it really enhances the cartoony aesthetic of the game, and especially in Brindleton Bay it looks perfect.

Only like 5mins in so far, but I needed to pause to say I love this reshade! I thought the lighting looked particularly beautiful in the thumbnail and I wondered why it was even prettier than usual. So I'm all for keeping it. Right, now back to watch the rest (I love the back story btw, it's very similar to one of my favourite families in my game).

Personally I really like the reshade, I see what you mean about the Pixar look. But it gives a fresh look. I like the depth it gives! Especially with that dark brown exterior you chose on this one

An idea for a build:
a teen who absolutely loves grading and plants, so their room is filled with plants and nature! And maybe contrast it with the rest of the house being very clean and modern?
And about he reshade:
personally I don’t love it, it reminds me of when objects have an annoying harsh shadow, except it’s everywhere? To me it just looks a bit dark and muddy, but obviously it’s your game and videos so you should keep it if that’s what you want, and I’ll still be watching!💛💛

the reshade looks really pretty!! personally i think it suited this particular build nicely, maybe because it's surrounded by nature and all ☺️ wouldnt mind seeing it more but it would be fine if you didnt use it too, im here for your builds and at the end of the end you're the person that spends the most time looking at it (building, editing, etc) so it's up to whatever you feel more comfortable with 🥰

I love this so much! The shader and everything. I will say the only thing I didn't like was the ladder? But that's such a minor thing that people could change it if they wanted to. Other than that, this is so lovely!

I have like a hate-love to this re-shade. Ok so it is soooo pretty, It makes the house more interesting and beautiful and specially cartoony, which is something I like a lot but I feel the shadows are too deep and harsh and make the house much more darker than what It is... I dont know what to think!!!
