Let me add my voice to the many relieved folks who have resurrected their HP printers. Great job in your presentation! Easy to follow. My only difficulty arose when trying to insert the screw holding the solenoid. Aside from that, perfect! Thank you for posting this.
Thanks and great news you fixed it as they are great printers. Ours is nearly 20 years old. You can do it 👍
Absolutely amazed! We have had this printer about 12 years and it has been perfect, so really disappointed when it started acting up. They don't make them anymore! So after shopping for one decided to try to fix it. So glad I did! Thank you so much!
Excellent love this sort of feedback. These printers are great and thats exactly how i felt when it kept jamming. The new printers are just so flimsy. You can do it 👍
Absolutely Brilliant... I have the HP Laserjet 3050 , exactly the same innards, and the switch was sticky the same as your video... about 45 minutes from start to finish watching your video as i went along. Such a simple fix to what would have been e-waste. These are such an economical printer, and much better than the $$$$ inkjet cartridges
Well done and thanks for the feedback. Yes such a simple fix to get a good printer back in order. Much better quality than the new stuff. Keep us posted. You can do it 👍
Just a very big thank you. I've had this problem for over a year. Just wanted to send you an encouraging word and thanks from the other side of the pond.
Hey thanks for the feedback. Keeping relaxing. You can do it 👍
Thank you very much. Your video saved my HP LaserJet 3030 from e-waste. Although I installed new rubber rollers for the paper feed, the paper jammed again and again.
Merry Christmas and a happy new year 2023 from Upper Franconia, Germany
Great news and glad it help. ;Merry xmas and Happy New Year. You can do it.
Excellent! Took me 5mins. Back on track!
Well done, it's great when it works again. You can do it 👍
I’m amazed it work like you showed ar your video clip. Tank you so much from a satisfied viewer from the Netherlands. Safes me the purchase of a new printer😊😊
Thanks. It brings a smile when you fix it with such a simple task. These printers will just keep on going. Ours is nearly 20 years old !! You can do it 👍
this video is perfect, I was about to go postal on this thing. working well again. Thanks
Hey great news. You can do it 👍
Thanks so much for creating this video. I wasn't sure if it would work or not because it didn't appear to be sticking when I took it apart. However, it did have some black gooey stuff on one side of the two pieces that make contact. I clean both sides up good and used 2 pieces of electrical tape and not only did it work but now it sounds so much smoother. Thanks again!
It's great when it works again. You can do it 👍
So here I am an ancient HP CE (the clown that used to go on site and fix HP equipment, usually the larger units}. And here I had no idea what might cause the double feeds and jams. You nailed it. Sticky clutches are not an unknown problem to all print engines but which one? So...wham bang working again. Thanks!
Thanks for the feedback. It's such a little thing that renders the printer useless. You can do it 👍
Brilliant. Thanks. Worked perfectly. The screw holding the solenoid to the body was a bit hard to get out and put back in. I managed to drop the screw down into the innards, never to be seen again, so watch out for this. I pinched one from the back to screw it in as it was the same type of screw, and then rummaged round in my toolkit to find a replacement for the one I pinched from the back (which wasn't quite the same but worked anyway).
Good work. You can do it 👍
Yes this printer was bought in 2007 (I think). It is now working better than it ever did. I used to have to switch it on and off a few times before it came on without an error. It now switches on perfectly first time!@@YoucandoitwithJules
I was about to throw my printer away and buy a new one, you saved me. Brilliant 🤩
Compared to the latest quality of printers these are so much better. Great news you saved it. You can do it 👍
Excellent!!!
I followed up exactly as your video instructed and voila! My paper jam is fixed and my dignity before my wife restored 😂.
That's a result. You can do it 👍
It saves me from buying new printer. Thank you 🙂
Hey great news and these are good printers better than the new stuff. You can do it 👍
Man, you are the best, thanks!!
Thanks. It's great when it works again. You can do it 👍
Awesome. I'm certain this is my issue, I'll be doing this soon. Thank you!
Let’s us know how you get on. You can do it👍
@@YoucandoitwithJules Well, I'm already finished. It was very sticky!! I haven't tested printing yet, but I'm sure that was it. My other issue besides jamming is that it always cycles a blank sheet in between every other printed sheet. Any ideas? Thanks again, you're what makes the internet AMAZING.
UPDATE: It didn't help. In fact, it got worse. It glitched out and started spewing papers as though it were possessed.
I punched it really hard on the face.
Days later, I came back with a cooler approach and checked on that solenoid again. There was still some sticky residue, and I noticed the spring was very, very light. I tightened up the spring by pulling up and hooking about 5 coils. Then I added a wrap of painter's tape where the foam used to reside.
SUCCESS!!
@@PuckerBrush well done. You can do it 👍
Great..... Thanks so much, it works!
It's great when it works properly. You can do it 👍
Thank you! It worked.
Glad it worked. You can die it :)
Great vid... Did it and my printer's working again. I actually bought a replacement solenoid but the cable was too short so had to do the repair to my own using the insulation tape and brake cleaner. Again, massive thanks.
Great news. You can do it 👍
