And message 14 😊😊 Great video guys, very interesting & stunning footage ❤❤ Looking forward to following you both along, planning a lap myself in 2025 😊😊 Safe travels 🥰🥰
Wow thank you 👍🏼 glad you liked it. Definitely do it! It's been the best thing we have ever done! Uluru is still up there with the top highlights of our trip!
Hello Megan & Matt ! I just stumbled across your channel and subscribed. At the end of this video you ask for a comment and this is how my story goes: 100% agree to your words at 17:40: yes i did it ! I woke up early in a Melbourne hotel and got to the airport for my domestic flight, just to hear that the flight is delayed due to foggy weather in Melbourne. Some hours later i landed at Alice Springs, picked up a rental car at the airport and visitet Woolies or Coles to purchase a decent supply of water and food. I headed southbound at the roundabout near Heavytree Gap for the next 200 kilometres and then took the right turn into the 250 kilometres dead end road til the end. A quick check-in at the Outback Pioneer Lodge at Yulara was followed by a short ride to the sunset viewing area to take some fantastic footage. Next day one of my favourite ways to waste money and time: a helicopter ride over Uluru and Kata Tjuta. Really a recommendation allthough it is not a cheap fun. ( but my heli ride over Sydney was slightly better). After that going by car back again into the NP and doing the Valley of the Winds walk at Kata Tjuta. I remember the intense colors of the blue sky, the red soil and the green bushes there. The next day startet with an early wake up call to see the sunrise together with hundreds of other sleepless people. After that back to Alice Springs to spend another two days doing the usual tourist stuff there. That was the center of Australia in five days in the year 2005. And i was not fooled by Mount Connor because i was fooled before in 1998 at my first trip to Uluru. This place and so many other places in Down Under are so special and unique that i still remember them even after 25 years. I am looking forward to see more of you both sharing your excitements in your videos. Take care and stay safe ! Grüße aus dem herbstlich-kalten Köln, Andy
Hallo Andy! Das ist echt ein Schönes geschichte! We were the same with Uluru and Kata Tjuta, there is a magical energy there that I can't explain but definitely THE highlight of our trip so far. Glad to hear that you are from Köln. We have been there many times, a very cool city! Megan is from Frankfurt and we lived there for 4 years. I (Matt) organised a school bike trip for the international school that I worked at from Koblenz to Köln. As an Aussie I absolutely loved riding along the Rhine river and seeing all of the castles that dot the river and the spectacular scenery along the way. We did the bike trip over 3 days and had a couple to enjoy in Köln. We are actually flying back to Germany tonight to visit family for Christmas so you might see some new videos in Germany! Grüße aus dem warm und rauchig (Bushfires) Perth! Megan and Matt
