Really lucky to have seen the mount fuji without the cloud, when i've been to Kawaguchiko. I could see the fuji Waterfall instead, Very beautiful and very big !!!
Thank you for the very informative video. I have just visited Mt Fuji through bus from Shinjuku last Sunday (11/24/24). The bus ride from Shinjuku started at 8:55AM and it took just about 2 hours to reach the Kawaguchiko station. There were many people going to Mt. Fuji and buses are always full so don’t expect you can get same day bus ticket. There were just as many people at the Kawaguchiko station when we arrived. I also booked the same day return bus trip from Kawaguchiko station to Shinjuku Express Bus Terminal. My return bus is the 16:30 bus and there were many many people at the Kawaguchiko station looking and waiting for their buses. I though my bus ride back to Shinjuku station will be the same time which should be about 2 hours but it ended up to be a 4 hours bus ride because heavy traffic from Kawaguchiko all the way into Tokyo. Lesson learned so next time I will take the train back to Shinjuku/Tokyo.
I heard JR Wide pass could be used untill Otsuki Station and transfer with fujikyu train . But on your video the train could be direct to kawaguchiko station😅
do you insert the limited express ticket with the base fare ticket at the same time? or only insert the base fare ticket? if so, when do you use the limited express ticket?
Just insert basic fare ticket. In this video, I did not use the limited express ticket. But usually you gotta show your ticket to the conductor on the train.
Love the videos! Taking a trip to Japan in a couple of months and I’m just binge watching all your videos. If you were taking a Shinkansen from mt Fuji to Osaka, would you take a bus to shin Fuji or Mishima? What would be easier. Thanks in advance if you can answer
Thank you for the informative video! I'm planning to purchase the JR Tokyo Wide Pass which covers the trip to Kawaguchiko and back forth. Is it possible to reserve seats in advance?
Thanks so much for this video, it was very helpful. Can I buy Fuji Excursion tickets without a JR Pass? Should I buy in advance for both trip to Mt Fuji and return at the same time?
Great video, thank you for sharing. If I take the Fuji Excursion, I can buy the tickets with seats on the JR website and combine with my IC card right? But I need to pick up the ticket in a ticket office or a ticket machine before I board the train do I? My understanding is child under age of 6 do not need a train ticket? My younger son coming on the trip is 5, I am still planning to buy a seat for him on the train through the website with everyone else, but he doesn’t need a basic ticket right?
Hi, how did you go with this? Did you book 2 tickets (basic and express) or did you use a combination of both IC card & pat for express only? What ticket did you buy for your son? Thanks
@@thanhhoang-m9s2k I used the IC Card for the basic ticket and purchased the express ticket online. I used the machine to collect the express tickets. For my 5 years old who do not require a basic ticket, I only bought him an express ticket. I find the combination of IC Card and express tickets is a easier way to travel.

Hi, is Fuji Excursion from Shinjuku to Mt Fuji(Kawaguchiko) also applicable if I purchase a JR Hokuriku arch pass? Thanks!
Nope
Even if there is a pass, it only covers up to Otsuki I think, as after that, the train will switch to a different company
@@starsaber100 Oh thank you for that information🥰
Don’t you have to change train from Xinjuku to kawaguchiku?
No this specific Fuji limited express 15 train goes straight from Shinjuku to Kawaguchiko stations.
when should i buy the online ticket if i am planning to go to Japan this october?
Tickets can be purchased from 1 month in advance!
bus out and train back
Hi I'm From India😊😊
Thanks always!
Only 4 trains per day? What kind of joke is that.. We're coming in from Kyoto to transfer to Kawaguchiko.
