It is very important to keep/get insulin down. second best: sometimes complete cut out of carbs the worst plan: more fermented food. Fermented food is double edged, because lactobacilli are opportunistic pathogens. The advantage of fermenteds is reduced oxalate and phytic acid. If you take more fermented food, you need to take also bifidus bacteria or other lactate feeding bugs. Absolute worst plan: honey. you are exaggerating an urban myth. The most surprise: lower tolerable level of protein. honestly, did not expect that you respond that way to a recent comment of mine, which was regarding p-cresyl. Congratulations on hitting the 200k milestone! That's an incredible growth from 14k in just a few months - what strategies or investments did you implement to achieve this remarkable success?
You're correct!! I make a lot of money without relying on the government. Investing in stocks, BTC, and XRP and digital currencies is beneficial at this moment.
Hello, how did you achieve such biweekly returns? I'm a newbie and I've lost a lot of money investing on my own. Please how do I go about it, the year is almost coming to an end, how can I make profit?
As a beginner, it is essential that you have a mentor to help you stay accountable. In my case, Elizabeth Marie Hawley has guided me for months and I highly recommend her. I focus on her. To be honest, I'm almost hesitant to let someone take charge of growing my finances, but I'm so glad I did.
Wow I'm shocked you mentioned expert Mrs Elizabeth Marie Hawley, when someone is straight forward and good at what she does best. People will always speak for them.
Super long fermented Sourdough bread tricks and knowledge 1. You don’t need to feed your starter constantly. -- I used a starter from the fridge that I hadn’t fed in six months, and the loaf I made tasted amazing. -- To feed your starter, mix 50% water and 50% flour by weight. Don't estimate, use scale and your starter will last in the fridge. -- It's normal for Black liquid to rise to the top of the starter -just mix it in before using, as it helps protect the yeast below. Don't pour out black liquid it will mess up your ratio and your starter will no longer be healthy and robust. -- If you see mould ON TOP of the starter or upper starter container sides, don’t throw out the starter. First, try to save it by carefully scraping off the mould, then feed the starter, and see if it returns. Feeding strengthens the starter and helps it fight off the mould. -- The longer a starter sits unfed in the fridge, the slower the yeast becomes. This leads to longer fermentation times and tastier breads, potentially healthier bread. -- You can store the starter in the freezer, though I haven’t tried it. Freezing prevents the starter from aging, while an old fridge starter continues to age leading to taster bread. 2. You don’t need much yeast for sourdough. -- For 1000 grams of flour, I use just 1 gram of starter. I recommend using 1 gram of starter regardless of loaf size. -- The less starter you use, the slower the fermentation. Slow fermentation is the key to great sourdough. 3. You can control fermentation speed with temperature. -- The colder the room, the slower the fermentation. -- There’s a noticeable temperature difference between a room floor and ceiling, which will affect fermentation and rising speed. If you struggle with it not rising put it untop of an upper cupboard. If you want to slow it down, put in on the floor. -- Don’t rely on a set time for the dough to rise. Instead, wait for it to reach a certain height. Flour type, water content, and fermentation speed all affect how high it will rise. 4. Several factors affect gluten bonds in the dough. -- White flour has the strongest gluten bonds, making it the easiest to work with. -- Whole flour contains more of the seed’s outer layer, which disrupts bonding and weakens the dough. It’s harder to work with but worth learning to use. -- Longer fermentation weakens gluten bonds, making it harder to get the bread to turn out. -- High water content also weakens gluten bonds. -- Older grain breeds tend to have weaker gluten bonds. 5. Start simple and adapt gradually. -- Begin with an easy white flour recipe with manageable water content, starter quantity, and rising temperature. Then gradually adjust all of the other variables to try and slow the fermentation and maximize the taste/health of the bread. -- Trying to make fluffy fermented bread is a lost cause, slow-fermented bread is dense. Maybe with white flour but I doubt anyone here wants to do that. -- This gradual progression to longer fermented bread also allows your taste buds to adjust to sourdough’s intense flavour. Starting with a super long-fermented bread might make the sourness overwhelming. Warnings -- Once your taste buds adapt, other breads will taste like fuffed-up paper, like nothing in your mouth. -- Super sourdough whole wheat loaves, especially those made with ancient grains, will be dense but incredibly tasty. -- Keep sourdough away from any sunlight exposure. -- This super-sourdough bread-making journey is a time-consuming one. -- Just buy a Dutch oven right off the bat. I wrote this whole thing up in hopes that I can give back something to you for all the fantastic knowledge you gave on this channel. Thank you Thomas.
Putting anti oxidant aside, Agave syrup is probably the best natural sweetener since it has higher relative sweetness index (1.4 times) than even refined sugar per gram, meaning you need less of it to feel the same level of sweetness, yet it has much lower glycemic index of any sugar (~17 vs. ~55 for maple/honey), making it's impact on insulin much lower, an equivalent of a broccoli or zucchini which is ridiculous. other than that, monk fruit can provide sweetness w/o any calories or impact on insulin, if you are OK with it's taste.
Hi Thomas. I’ve heard you talk about the benefits of Allulose when consumed with carbs, and its associated reduction in insulin spike. So I bought some and started doing the same about 2 -3 months ago. Then in a subsequent video you spoke about how we need the insulin spike from eating protein to help muscle growth, so I was then confused and stopped the Allulose. So, will I get Allulose benefits in a meal where I combine high protein with some carbs, without reducing the protein benefit? Or, is it like a see saw/teeter totter, and one will be high effect and the other low? I’d love to understand this more to know which way to move forward and get maximum benefit for hypertrophy.
We all have our flaws. I certainly have my share. I want to look toned and athletic and it does take work. However better watch out and not let food, working out, body fat become your IDOL. Hi Thomas, happy new year first of all❤ a question: how did you manage to avoid loose skin? I already do weight training but im not seeing anything (fat percentage is to high) You have lost alot of weight and have muscles, ok im a woman but i would like to lower my fatpercentage and get smaller but i already have a bit of loose skin (not that much for someone that has lost more then 60 kg’s. And please: how can people loose the final freaking 10 kg’s (im calling it kg’s but i actually mean the last stubborn fat😢) im getting desperate im almost there just the final miles😂 thank you in advance

Yes thank you for this!!! I was grazing and also exercising hard 90 min a day but not necessarily “moving” every hour thus my steps were not high as i want this was a huge Ah Haa
It has to be said, and I'm sorry if this offends anyone. TRT and HGH/peptide therapies. Nothing wrong with that, but I don't like the idea that these fat loss benefits are maintained purely by Thomas' endogenous hormonal production.

Not only Argentinians consume Erva mate . Brazilians and Uruguayans consume as much Erva or Yerba Mate as the Argentinians . And don’t forget Messi favourite brand of Yerba Mate is made in Brazil.
I eat once a day in the early evening and totally eat however much I want, though I eat super clean with very little carbs. Eggs, beef, chicken, guac, green chile, herring, bacon, more guac, more eggs!
Caloric deficit equals weight loss Keep it simple I make lunch optional. If I’ve had a big morning, I’ll eat a lunch otherwise I’ll snack & wait until dinner
I'm so tired of these people who claim to have the inside scoop on weight loss etc... There is no secret, easy, fast etc... way to lose the weight. Eat low carb, eat fewer calories and eat fewer times that is it those are the only viable ways to lose weight. If you're stalled or not losing it fast enough do 1,2 or 3 or all or any combination. You will find what works if you do it long enough. Keep in mind there are people who have eaten nothing for months and survived. So when someone says oh it isn't healthy to eat so little or to only eat meat or whatever. tell them to shut up and watch as your do it and not only lose the weight but get healthier for it!
Yep, it's a hard maintenance zone(or impractical) for many people especially for unfavorable genetics, suboptimal environment(lifestyle/work/obesogenic workplace/community ) etc
I’m going to make the same commitment as you to those meal breaks. I’ve listened to you talk about it for a while and know it’s a great idea, but I don’t think I’ve been eating enough at lunch to hold me through to dinner, so I basically end up nibbling for 5 hours. I can definitely change this. I hope it helps!
nibbling in the afternoon is more likely to happen for girls... but it is a bad habit. take a piece of cheese or nuts (just not cashews) after lunch, that prevents getting hungry quite effectively
A lot to follow here, I have gone back to simple carb backloading. Protein and fats during the day keeping fats around 60grams protein 1 gram per pound. 7pm 2 cups of white rice lean protein, working okay so far. If I have carbs early in the day it puts me on a carb rollercoaster.
People on gear (PEDs, SARMs, or ‘TRT’) talking about little things to increase health is hilarious. Like a smoker talking about eating broccoli to get healthy. Getting off the dope is the most healthy thing you can do. Our middle-aged or old bodies do not need or want the T of a 30 year old.
It’s a lot more complex than that simple statement you just made. I’ve been on testosterone cream now for 8 months and it’s helped my mood, sleep and overall competitive running. I’m 64 years old. My testosterone was extremely low and now it’s up to about 400. My blood work is monitored every 6 months and it’s all in normal ranges.
it is just a very small piece of knowledge which is missing on your side: if insulin is elevated, you can not loose fat. it is very easy to stay carb free for 22h each day... if you want. do you? If you won't, the future is very predictable in that it will bring a lot of suffering
As someone that had actually had real OCD as a kid I’d like to formally say “you’re rude.” I’d like to say something more. But this is a family friendly channel.
@@ThomasDeLauerOfficial , I'd like to say more as well, but sometimes we need to hear "rude" comments. Being 8 % bodyfat is not brag worthy. It's gross.
It would be different for you as a female to be at 8%, but calling a male gross for being at a healthy 8-10% is a little strange. But resorting to calling someone OCD is just kinda low. I am human after all . This is a fat loss channel, I’d imagine most people want to hear it.
Personally I have never had a problem with caffeine from coffee over the years, but I didn’t tolerate Yerba mate - it made me jittery and almost upset my stomach. I’ll stick to coffee and green tea.
This was so good! Please report back your results, especially the honey, maple syrup, and protein experiments. I have been thinking about the same things lately! (On my weight loss journey). Interestingly, i added 2 teas. Allulose daily and my weight loss stall was broken.
I’ve maintained 6% body fat for years & I’ll be honest: Much happier & healthier between 12%-17% body fat. Hormonally it’s a bit better & your face gains back that vibrant glow, not to mention better hair.. & many many more positive changes came about when I found balance. 🙏
I know what him you have to keep double tapping the screen and jump ahead to get to the point of why you came here in the first place. He loves to hear his own voice.
Uruguayan here! 🇺🇾 We include Yerba Mate 🧉 (or simply “mate”) in our diet since a very early age. It’s a particularly good friend to University students, medical staff, construction workers or anyone who may need to go long hours without food, little sleep and stand the cold. There’s nothing particularly magic about it, and I personally don’t like the taste and texture (I know, it’s a crime if you are from Uruguay not to like it!). But just like green tea (which I actually enjoy) it’s totally worth giving it a try and see if you enjoy it as a part of a balanced diet.

You will find what works if you do it long enough. Keep in mind there are people who have eaten nothing for months and survived. So when someone says oh it isn't healthy to eat so little or to only eat meat or whatever. tell them to shut up and watch as your do it and not only lose the weight but get healthier for it!
i love a piece of high fiber toast with cottage cheese, drizzle allulose and cinnamon ! feels like dessert 🎉
Allulose is amazing!😊
Staying under 8%? You'll HATE your life!! 😭😭😭😭
😃🤷♂️
Yep, it's a hard maintenance zone(or impractical) for many people especially for unfavorable genetics, suboptimal environment(lifestyle/work/obesogenic workplace/community ) etc
@RedPilled100 I'd include goodbye muscle gains, lower libido, testosterone and energy levels,
I’d say under 10% is pure pain.
"Non Exercise Active Thermogenesis" ... when you have ADHD, that's super easy, barely an inconvenience.
I understood that reference
@@EezeeGroover Bonus points to you, my friend.
Where can I get fermented sourdough bread?
Joseph’s Organic Bakery or just make it yourself
all legit sourdough IS fermented....so just make sure if you're buying sourdough it's legit and doesn't use commercial yeast.
TRT?

Are you saying he’s on gear?
It’s a lot more complex than that simple statement you just made. I’ve been on testosterone cream now for 8 months and it’s helped my mood, sleep and overall competitive running. I’m 64 years old. My testosterone was extremely low and now it’s up to about 400. My blood work is monitored every 6 months and it’s all in normal ranges.
Eat Honey
Thank you Paul saladino
I'm an endomorph, I will never see under 8% or even under 30%.
Not with that attitude.
it is just a very small piece of knowledge which is missing on your side: if insulin is elevated, you can not loose fat.
it is very easy to stay carb free for 22h each day... if you want. do you?
If you won't, the future is very predictable in that it will bring a lot of suffering
Thomas, you should do a video on the fermented foods you want to incorporate.
ever look into galactose? its one of the monosaccharides that makes up lactose. its really expensive when i try to find some
Thick pizzas and liquorice to keep it steady above 8% 🎉

Its winter bulking season…. Save the cutting for the spring
you've become OCD about your bodyfat.
As someone that had actually had real OCD as a kid I’d like to formally say “you’re rude.”
I’d like to say something more. But this is a family friendly channel.
@@ThomasDeLauerOfficial , I'd like to say more as well, but sometimes we need to hear "rude" comments. Being 8 % bodyfat is not brag worthy. It's gross.
@@christinah.8504 I know it's not fun to be at that body fat % but, how is that gross?
It would be different for you as a female to be at 8%, but calling a male gross for being at a healthy 8-10% is a little strange. But resorting to calling someone OCD is just kinda low. I am human after all . This is a fat loss channel, I’d imagine most people want to hear it.
That is not the definition of OCD. And why are you here
Bare in mind, a bodyfat lower than 8 is not healthy nor sustainable for most people.
Reason why every day seems like still a struggle. Not in homeostasis.
It's like a game when I get under 10%, how many days in a row can I tolerate horrible sleep lmao
If it's not sustainable it's not a priority
A little Var will be safer than the extra carbs, especially at that body fat level.
Brother stop the Bull. What's ur STEROID CYCLE
Shredded is diet.
Ipamorellin Peptide and CJC1295 - although that’s super recent. No hormones though. So I guess I’m not “natty” but I won’t mess with hormones
@ThomasDeLauerOfficial You just burst another bubble Thomas! Probably not the answer they wanted. 😃🤷♂️👍
@@ThomasDeLauerOfficialYou wanted all of the smoke today 😂
All that stuff helps growth hormone secretions and protein synthesis
I’ve maintained 6% body fat for years & I’ll be honest:
Much happier & healthier between 12%-17% body fat.
Hormonally it’s a bit better & your face gains back that vibrant glow, not to mention better hair.. & many many more positive changes came about when I found balance. 🙏

Finding what works for you is key. Staying under 8% body fat is only for the genetically gifted. Most will hate their life under 12% body fat.
Especially for women... 8% is really a low.. Competition form
@@sandrabassett9923Women really shouldn't go below 20% for their health and wellbeing
I agree. Ive read that men should be in the 10-15% range, even 20% for some men.

Proverbs 1:7 "The fear of the LORD is the beginning of knowledge, but fools despise wisdom and instruction"
if you want to focus on your gut health --- look into adding a bit of l. reuteri bacteria into your diet. It really helps with mood.
that's secondary. L.reuteri is feeding on lactate, and is keeping standard lactobacillus in check.
