"Dance Moms" follows Abby Lee Miller and the nation's favorite tween dancers as they take on Hollywood while new auditions, new competitions, and new studios raise the stakes.
The road has not been easy for “Dance Mom’s” star Abby Lee Miller. After completing her prison sentence last year, the famed dance instructor was diagnosed with non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma. But if anything, Abby has proven she is a fighter and is not ready to hang up the dance shoes. The new season of Dance Moms follows Abby as she rebuilds her dance company while battling the after-effects of cancer that has left her confined to a wheelchair. Abby is ready to get back to her life and do what she loves most…teaching students to dance! With the goal of putting her life, health and dance studio back together, Abby returns to where it all began - the Abby Lee Dance Company in Pittsburgh.

God this show was awful. Not just with Paige, but with Chloe and the rest of them too. Being scared of your dance teacher isn't normal. It gave them fame, but at what cost? This show was just awful for them.

Only the first two seasons’ interviews were scripted and a couple of fights from the first and second season.
Everything else was unfortunately real or very heavily manipulated/edited. But no producer could edit in the girls in this much pain - that’s real.
i think its just so horrible that paige was so scared she couldent breath.. paige is a really good dancer and dosen't deserve what she got on the show :(
She had a lot of anxiety on the show and I always felt so bad for her. I’m so glad she isn’t on the show anymore.

Paige probably DID know the number but because a of fear of failure (in the case with abby its most likely failure according to her) she had a panic attack

@@danny-4xz2ometimes you get so overwhelmed with anxiety that you just freeze, and you cant think of anything else and it’s hard to move. It’s happened to me and it’s scary. You can see on her face she was super upset and in that moment she probably didn’t even consider improving.

The sadness in Melissa’s eyes as Kelly opened up to Abby about Paige’s panic attacks shows how real the moment is. 30+ years of a strained relationship that has led to an innocent kid having emotional problems is raw.

A strict teacher is good for most people. You have to prepare the kids for the big tough world. But there comes a point when you have to stop being harsh when you see excessive emotions come through, and blood shed. If you accept the role of preparing children for the future, you also have to be nurturing or they’ll end up just like the Ebenezer Scrooge you are.

This feels like the most real situation on Dance Moms, between Kelly's genuine emotion and Abby actually listening and reacting to feedback like an empathetic human.

i feel like when kenzie was younger(back in season 1-3), she didn’t have as MUCH pressure as she did later on, so she didn’t really have too much to prove to abby since she was younger. but yeah kenzie should be treated the exact same as maddie
Did anyone else hear at 4:50 Paige say “I looked at Abby”. It’s horrible that a twelve year old is so scared of her dance teacher that all she has to do is simply look at her dance teacher and she forgets. I feel so bad for Paige.

You can CLEARLY SEE the show ruined actions, reactions, and ofc friendships. They all care about each other but the show wants it to be like reality. 4:19 & 6:35 shows how they care about the kids that aren't even their own!

This whole video is heart breaking, I understand where Kelly is coming from. You see your child hurting and you feel like it’s your fault and you feel like your hurting your own child by putting them through this.
I don't understand this site. If I did a video showing children in an emotional state, upset and crying I would be demonetized, and possibly have the video pulled from RUclips. I would certainly have comments taken away and in essence be sent a message don't do this sort of video. Yet some channels and shows get away with this over and over.

Ik their not technically verified but the lifetime main channel is so if it's a scripted show or movie it's allowed if they own the rights

You know, so many years later, I understand what these kids were feeling. I had a really awful marching band director and staff for all of high school. I’ve sobbed so hard, I’ve had panic attacks, I’ve wanted to quit all because of this man. I have amazing friends from the experience. I have amazing memories. But still, I don’t know if marching band was the best or worst decision I’ve ever made.

Paige’s panic attack made me so sad. Abby telling her she needs to “grow up” is just wrong... she’s still young and she’s being overworked. Constructive criticism isn’t shouting in people’s faces... no wonder they’re scared!
i feel so bad for paige. that’s happened to my friend before when i was about to go on stage after her at a dance comp. it broke my heart. but at least my teacher was more comforting then abby ever could have
Now I realize that this show just exposes (unintentionally) how abusive the world of dancers can be, out there there is more people like Abby (or worse) and it's so sad that maybe most of us normalized this behaviour because we were young... Now I feel terrible for this girls 💔

1:47 When Kelly is repeating they have to get out of there, it's cause of the Lifetime contracts. The contracts I believe were for 6 seasons with HUGE financial penalties if they broke the contract and left. Like penalties that would absolutely ruin the family financially. And the producers frequently threatened them with lawsuits if they tried to leave or didn't go along with certain stories. People often say "why do they stay?" and frankly it is because legally they were trapped. When Kelly was saying they have to get out of there...I heard desperation in her voice because they really were trapped! The ONLY reason they were able to get out was because Abby called the police when she and Kelly got into the physical confrontation. Calling the police caused a legality that let the Hylands out of their contracts. Technically, if Abby didn't call the police, the Hylands would have still been locked into their contracts and would have had to continue with the show, even after the physical confrontation.

Panic attacks are common and it felt raw and sometimes this show has some obvious points that are faker then others but this feels real. And Abby breaking down when Kelly cried 6:53 was powerful. Paige and Kelly deserved better. Abby needs to learn this lesson most learned when they were 7 don’t yell at people

Kelly is to blame. If my child was having panic attacks no amount of money or fame could compete with their mental health. I'd stop the dancing and let them have a childhood.
