Dear sir, I love your youtube lessons so much, you’re the BEST in explaining and covering songs! And your music taste is fantastic too. I want to know what I’m doing when I copy your lessons, I have no knowledge of chord names, scales etc. Could you please recommend me the best guitar coarse for beginners you know or do you have a course like that? That would be the best. Thank you for all your guitar lessons, THE BEST!
Just when you think Andy's covered all the acoustic greats, the man comes up with another one. This one falls into the not as difficult as I would have thought category. Best teacher on the net. Bar none.
I have been listening to this song for 20 years, and now to be able to learn it with an amazing lesson by Andy. If you like this song, then get the whole album called, The Living Sea. This song is from that album. It is a soundtrack to an IMAX movie and Sting did all the music. Amazing!
I just have to say that you are very accomplished guitarist and teacher, one of the best in my opinion and what a beautiful song to learn in a time where everything is so Fragile how appropriate Thank you for all you do in helping guitarist reach their pinnacle.
Dude, Your attention to detail is fabulous! ..All the way down to your reverb on the mix! I have said it before but,you are my kind of musician! You pick the Gems in music! The best guitar tutorials on RUclips! PERIOD!

Exactly. Since you're just playing the low E, the D and the B string. I think Sting frets the Fmaj7 in case he accidentally hits the G string it won't go off the rails. Cheers, Andy.

Excellent and beautiful (as always). This will be my next project. Need a break from the sixty thousand hammer-ons on Big Love. Greetings from Sweden.
Absolutely brilliant. Not only the best lessons available on the internet but the clearest , cleanest and accurate guitar playing anyone will find anywhere. Thanks Andy.
Great, great, great lesson... From my point of view, Sting developed Bring on the night progression by Andy Summer .... A great and originsl devolopement, of course.
Hi, I love this piece by Sting, I'm a fan, I really like your tutorial, it's more interesting to play than some other tutorials in French because I'm French and I struggle with the explanations
Thank God I found you. I found several versions of it. Nothing taken away from them, as their are doing their teachings, BUT the difference between you and them with all due respect is that you show clearly where to put fingers and you go smoothly slow enough. The other guy who plays it and teaches it starts the beginning with the pinky and index fingers which for me as a beginner was so difficult to make enough room to settle / put my fingers on them. Thank you sir Now I will start to practicing all over again. ps sorry for my english. is not the best
Maybe it’s been asked before, but did you name your channel in homage to Frank Zappa’s “Shut up and play yer guitar”? Thanks for the wonderful tutorials over the years, friend.
How can I say this? I guess stating the obvious. So the Blackout and the sharp definition of the hands and fretboard that are so clearly visible. Remarkably good teacher.
Ive always wanted to learn this song, so thanks so much for breaking this down. I actually was the still photographer on this Music Video and he played this song right in front of me with only him, his GF now his wife and me. He was sitting on an apple box, barefoot. An experience i will never forget.
Hi Andy. Heard you're not doing too great at the moment. Hope to have you back in the saddle soon. You are a fine teacher and such pleasant company of an evening when the family are away to bed and I can get my guitar out. Wishing you good health sir. Oh and I made a donation too yesterday. Everyone should if they are getting something from these tutorials. C'mon loyal subscribers! If Andy can't work just now he can't earn so I'm sure even the smallest of donations would be welcome
I am quite impressed with your caliber of playing, and you do these free tutorials. Your time is genuinely appreciated. This might be a bit out of character music wise, but would it be possible to show a tutorial on lead parts for Harper Valley PTA by Jeannie C. Riley? I"m not so worried about the sound, as I know its a dobro or something, as I may be able to get close with the katana amp and lead guitar. But I sincerely would appreciate it.

Doesn't seem too difficult, but the hard part is making it actually sound good. It's all about the subtle parts, the rhythm, the timing.

A bit shocked this one wasn’t done by you a long time ago, superlative !!!

Brilliant, as always. (And shame on those giving a thumbs down - ridiculous)
Your tutorials are always so inspiring to me, I doubt I’ll ever be able to play that well but I won’t ever give up, Thank you….
Very fine and instructive, but difficult. I really must be patience, and not to hard on my self 🎶🏌️♂️🎶Make it slooooww👏🌹Greetings from Denmark 🇩🇰

Great lesson! Really enjoy your tutorials. Could you do a lesson on "Thirteen" by Big Star with the different guitar parts?
Thank you very much for sharing this song and your talent with us.
I agree you have the best lessons on RUclips. Thanks for what you do.
I'm grateful for core relevant theory mixed into the song lesson. that's uncommon thanks
Fmaj7 instead of F7 at beginning of b sec?
maybe irrelevant if not using that string lol
Exactly. Since you're just playing the low E, the D and the B string. I think Sting frets the Fmaj7 in case he accidentally hits the G string it won't go off the rails. Cheers, Andy.

very good lesson, but I notice that Sting plays a bit different in concert the solo, specially when it gets to the 12bar.

Now try adding the vocals ! Wow I’m finding it really tricky, Sting is certainly very talented
