One of the best songs ever written. So few chords with gentle extemporising behind the melody. Yes how fragile we are. But the greatest act of mercy did come from extreme violence. The death of Christ on the cross by which we receive forgiveness from our sins and our fragility is overcome with His divine love. This act has been ignored over the last couple of decades but is being revisited in these times.
For those that don't play the guitar, Sting could have let Dominic Miller play the lead guitar on this and play the simple chords instead, but he takes over and does it all... It's not easy to play those not so-common shapes where your hand is moving up and down the fretboard while you sing at the same time.
Sting playing the lead guitar on this is a staple of his repertoire. I connect to your comment and say that he does two or three mistakes on this on the beginning but he recovers very well and goes on. A true professional

I don't get why Nobel peace prize is in Norway. I know that was in his will but he have no ties to Norway. He is Swedish.
