If you’re still uncertain if you are ready to put pen to paper, read a book about writing a book. I didn’t read one of those until after I had written my first draft, but you can always learn more about the craft no matter what stage you’re at. My biggest tips are brainstorming and not being afraid to write down something that’s bad. Believe me you will go back and edit whatever it is you write, so just go for it.
