What's that Genre: Dystopian
Some other great examples are Brave New World, The Giver, 1984, and Scythe. Typically these books are for older, teen audiences to adults because of their darker subject matter. Do you have a favorite dystopian novel? And what genre should I do next? Im a huge scifi girl, but when it comes to writing I do action drama
Easy one: writing😂 most people are like: how do you do that and not go crazy, like how can you work on a manuscript for a year and not feel like giving up?
I also just love designing fan album covers for my favorite artists, plus I do the PowerPoint thing too😂
keep working :)
cute dog :)
Thanks!
It sounds great! Adding it to my Goodreads right now💚
Awesome!
Fantasy ❤
Then you should definitely check out Touch of Kindness by R. Loomis- YA Fantasy about a Texas teen who gets taken to a magical world. Available worldwide online and it's on Kindle!
I consider my book fantasy although there are aliens in it. Also I began to read your book a few weeks ago and I absolutely love it❤❤
Oh that's so exciting! Yay 🥰
That's like "Who framed Roger Rabbit?
history fr mostly cuz its cool to see form different sides of the wars
Congrats, I hope you manage to have more moments like this!
I like some fantasy, but mostly the dark Tower I plan on getting into the Lord of the rings, but that’s about it when it comes to fantasy for me. I like some surrealist stuff like fight club, American psycho. I like horror. I’m reading the stand right now. Great Read. And I’m going to read all the other books for the dark Tower series. I do like a bit of western fiction kinda like fear and loathing in Las Vegas no country for old men and the gunslinger. I do like some old biblical epics like Paradise Lost. I’ve also read a bit of sci-fi. I’ve read same Star Wars novels. Biblical epics are very interesting to me. But my favorite style to write in would be a mix of non-fiction surrealism with a dash of horror.
Holy Hades, I’m a Texas teen girl! I VOLUNTEER FOR TRIBUTE
Then you should definitely check out this book- Texas teen who doesn't want to be in a magical world and a handsome prince who might just steal her heart! Touch of Kindness by R. Loomis- available wherever books are sold online and it's on Kindle too!

Unfortunately it doesn’t make sense for publishers to continue to use the outdated system as majority of countries these days classify adults as around 18. To shift it closer to 16-25 would make more sense for YA. Not everything is going to be the same definition but it does lend itself to confusion, especially when content of books become more mature for the same audience (18 still lends itself to adult themes, which is why I think more graphic writing gets lumped in (unclear if other criteria is established for YA other than reader age)).
YA is also determined by age of the MC and the themes dealt with in the novel, such as identity, belonging, and first love.
@@rloomisbooks I feel like at this point it should be classified as coming of age then. But that might not encompass the whole spectrum as it currently stands. There’s a lot about this topic I feel could be discussed 😅
Sometimes repeated words can have a metrical quality, or they can be used for emphasis, as in the first chapter of Genesis, or as in MLK's "I Have a Dream" speech.
Very true- if you're doing it on purpose!

@@rloomisbooks yes cuz u seem nicer than she was she yelled and failed all freshmen
A lot of books that get marked as YA are books aimed at women that are clearly not YA, like ACOTAR. I don't even hear people claim that YA is for 25+ year olds, but they still put pretty obviously adult books in YA. This is just from a general observation standpoint, not publishing or marketing or anything official haha
I'm doing a secondary world story, but the time period is *roughly* 1920s. Cars and guns and radio and all that jazz
Hi So the incident happened when I was in class 7, one of my classmates,in the middle of lecture, got seizures suddenly ( this had never happened with her before) everyone panicked and thought ghostly thing is going on .But I got forward help her deal with it along with my teacher ، lster we took her to nearby hospital and I stayed with her for abit until teachers asked to go back. Plz do this giveaway for international readers too.
shes right 12-18 is ya 😭 whoever disagrees is crazy. at my school, the middle school and highschool share the same library, so its quite literally 12-18 year olds reading ya novels.
thesaurus .....i love this book
I had a friend who had a lot of issues, she would hate physical touch and people dosliked her for her blunt behavior but i stood by her side even when it was hard for me emotionally and im very physically affectionate so i would take small steps to make her comfortable with my touch , first holding her hand for like 4 seconds and then she became comfortable with my touch enough to give me a hug . Later i found out she was assulted physically and even her family can't touch ( they did vuvtim blaming making things worse) but she is only comfortable touching me. Whenever she went home she would start hating touch again but i would always start from 0 with her tho it was draining emotionally until she was okay with my touch completely. She thanked me to be the only one who never gave up on her no matter how she was and that i would always be her bestfriend.
Wow- she was lucky to have you!
That’s so cool!!! 🤍
That looks super cool and fun!! I will have to check it out 😊🤍
Thanks! It's available wherever books are sold online!
I dont know if i can win because i am international (not from US) but In my Family we dont really say i love you, so a couple weeks ago i Said I love you to my grandmother, and she was very suprised. But today i was with her, and it was my last time seing her In a couple mounths because i’m leaving for school where i’m going to live so i wont be able to see her for a long time. And she told me ‘I love you’ for the first time🫶 So that was something kind someone Else has done for me.
On our way out from the store one day, I saw a car pulling out and something had fallen off the top of it. I decided to pull over and walked over to see what had fallen and realized it was a phone. I picked it up and drove slowly around the parking lot until I saw the car again and went up to it. I told the older man who got out that I had found this off the road from his car and he got teary eyed. Come to find out, not only was it his phone, but he was coming down to our state for a business trip and he had everything on his phone: his money, his information, and everything he needed for his trip and his work. He thanked me multiple times for what I did. If the situation came up again, I'd do it all the same.
Wow- that's amazing!
I have a lot of books but not enough space to keep them. My aunt likes books as well and when she saw the stacks of books on my floor because my bookshelf and the space in my bed headboard were full, she made it her mission to find me a new bookshelf. When she came over, she spent at least an hour looking at various types of shelves and going through prices, reviews, measurements, and more. She even ended up going to IKEA with my mom and I to show us what she found and when she realized it wouldn't fit in our car she kept trying to find ways to bring it. She even said she'd buy it just so I could get it (before the trip) because my mom kept forgetting to look at it even after all the times she reminded her.
What a kind aunt!
Ok I checked it out I will definitely get it soon
That's awesome!
As a secondary world writer, I don't gotta deal with this issue. But a possom did break into my house at 4 in the morning this week
Oh no!
Don't change them to marmots :-D Marmots are quite different from opossums. Different behavior, lifestyle, area of living... I suppose the closest is raccoons. Those aren't native to Europe either, but they are an invasive species, like raccoon dogs... Foxes, squirrels, crow birds... rats could work, too. Depending on what you want the animals to do. But, very good tip :-D
And badgers
I actually changed it to pine martens!
👇 Ppl who thought he was a pillow
But seriously
HE 👏🏼 DESERVES 👏🏼 ALL👏🏼 ATTENTION 👏🏼
that sounds really cool! ill check it out :) <3
Yay!
Ok I will
About a year ago, I was looking into joining the military, when I got to MEPS, I was incredibly nervous because I had never done nor experienced anything like it before. Plus, I had to be up at 3am which is earlier than I have ever woke up. It was incredibly stressful but, my mother and my siblings all stayed up until it was time for me to awaken, just to make sure I was awake on time and didn't mess anything up. My dad even took time out of his average fast-paced work schedule to give me a call. Because of them, the whole day went through like a breeze.
That's amazing!
creatures / legends or a phuck off big map.....like a2 or something
I am happy with you! ❤
Thank you!
Possoms and opossums are different animals. Opossums only live in the americas Possums mostly live in australia. You seem like the type to value accuracy of information. Good luck with the story.
For sure- I meant opossums. Here in the south we pronounce it "possum" but spell it opossum. But yes I do value accuracy!
Frustratingly both places colloquially call the both as far as I can tell. 😂
