This solo is a beauty, and i do have ear, to hear the beauty of novembe rain first second and third solo, sweet child o mine, welcome to the jungle, mr brownstone, paradise city, slither, fall to pieces, guns n roses, snakepit, velvet revolver had slash to play for them and he has written beauties of solos. Thats my opinion tho, as i support both richie and slash.
Jon shows that he's the ultimate showman at the end of this song when he and Ritchie are side by side front and center! There's no doubt that Jon was a natural and had many years of performing under his belt even prior to this performance, grinding it out in the club scene. Great performance...to have seen them live back then was even better. I saw them open for the Scorpions during first album, then saw them open for Ratt during second album and then saw New Jersey twice in the same month and the last time I saw them was during the Crush album tour. I was 15 the first time I saw them, standing right in front of Jon and he ruled that civic center from the moment he hit the stage! Best front man going back in the day...hands down!
