I always watch these when they show up and all these decades later it's still funny 🤣
Hackett and Dangerfield always made Carson laugh his ass off

    I can't believe I don't remember seeing this first-run,
but it's classic Hackett and reveals a lot of his intelligence.

I'm retired. I forgot how funny Mr. Hackett was, until I caught him at this and other Jonny Carson videos, today. I'm laughing out loud as he tells his stories. Problem is that folks are turning their heads wondering what I am listening to while exercising ay the gym. Listening to Buddy Hackett or any of the many greats that were guests beats the heck out of the loud music in the gym.

Heard a great story about a lady who had a friend who everyone suspected of her looking into their medicine cabinets when she came to play their afternoon bridge games. So the lady whose turn it was to host, filled her medicine cabinet with glass marbles and when the suspect lady opened the cabinet a couple hundred marbles came crashing out of the cabinet making a racket that would wake the dead and causing the lady to come running out of the bathroom and out the front door, never to return again.

I don't believe what I just saw. Johnny Carson sneaking a puff on a cigarette while Buddy is talking. I am really surprised to see that. One of the last appearances by Sammy Davis Jr on the Tonight Show was after he had been diagnosed with throat cancer from smoking 2 packs a day. I would have thought Johnny would have taken that seriously but apparently he didn't because just like Sammy, smoking killed Johnny too.
