    Jersey city .. Q: started hack the box but it seems a little harder than I thought as a beginner is there any other hands on programs that are better for beginners?

    • @TheBeardedITDad

      Starting with Hack The Box can indeed be challenging for beginners due to its complex and realistic scenarios. If you're finding it a bit tough, there are other platforms tailored more towards beginners that can help you build your foundational skills before you tackle Hack The Box again.

      CyberSecLabs

    i have a kinda silly question. I want to get into IT, bought a A+ course but I've never been fortunate enough to own a laptop or desktop only ever used them at school or a friends house. Can the A+ equip me with enough knowledge to get onto the help desk or do i need to buy a pc first to get familiar with it and learn more practically?

      I feel like A+ itself can land you a job it’s like most of these guys say if luck is in your side you’d most likely get one right away or might have to be patient with it bro but either one man having that desktop and you landing a job that can let you work from home you’ll be set to begin your IT career bro I’m barely going to do the same thing go for my A+ and hopefully get a decent job right now I’m working at FedEx

    Which cert would you suggest to get a good base ground understanding in IT? Compliance a+ or ccna? My end goal is to be in cyber security.

    • @TheBeardedITDad
      @TheBeardedITDad  6 месяцев назад

      For good foundational skill the CompTIA A+ is the way to go... The CCNA is a great cert but only focuses on networking.. I would still suggest the CCNA before getting into cyber security though.

    What would you consider as good for a GitHub? Mine is my setup and update scripts for Linux in case I am setting up a new machine. I have a few extremely basic games in Python that I learned from RUclips as well. Would you consider this adequate?

    • @TheBeardedITDad
      @TheBeardedITDad  7 месяцев назад

      It sounds like you have a great start to your GitHub! Having setup and update scripts for Linux can be really helpful for anyone setting up a new machine. And having basic games in Python shows that you're learning and practicing your coding skills. just follow your passion and it will start coming together.

    People are losing their jobs in Tech. What is the use of getting certification?

    • @TheBeardedITDad
      @TheBeardedITDad  7 месяцев назад +1

      Getting certifications in tech can give you an edge over the competition. It shows employers that you're serious about your skills and willing to invest in your career.
