Hey man, how did you get that tone? I'm a guitarist too and I've been thinking lately about getting a semi-distorted tone, almost fusiony so I can really cut through and have an intense sound like Coltrane. Your tone is exactly what I want to model first. It's so perfect for this tune and transcription. It's probably the best way the guitar can attempt to match the emotion and intensity that comes from all of Coltrane's altissimo sections too. Anyway, is it a pedal? An Amp? Are you going through a computer? Let me know, THANKS!
Interesting video, nice music.
Very well done. Wish I could do a bit of this with my saxophone. One of my favorite pieces from Coltrane.
Thanks for the kind words, it sure wasn't easy, but an interesting exploration.
You did a shit hot fantastic job. That must have taken a long time to memorize all that! (EV speakers forever!)
Congratulations, that is well done and a rare achievement. Did you do that by ear or from a transcription? Thanks for sharing this recording you made.
Wow, nice!
