    I've just 'discovered' you. I'm completely blown away!! I cannot believe what you've created from scraps. I would love to have seen the finished seascape.

      Thank you for your kind comments. Sadly this piece is long sold and I don't think I have any photos of it now. However you can see plenty more of my seascapes and other work here www.pinterest.co.uk/alisonwhateleydesign/my-textile-art/
      Best wishes

    I love how you work and your creations are gorgeous. You are inspiring. I have one question, I know any basting spray can get all over the place and makes a real mess with over cast spray, how are you managing this without out getting is every where?

      Thank you for your kind comment. I use a piece of oilcloth to cover the table where I am spraying to make sure it is protected. This does have to be replaced from time to time once it gets too sticky.
      Hope that helps. Alison

    Love this tutorial but never done free motion sewing yet, anf glad you told us it doesn't matter how we sew down these pieces in this demo, which is a relief to a newbie like me, but could you explain what type and sizes of machine needles you use for these projects, please? Thank you for these lovely tutorials hon. (Apologies if I've missed the needle query elsewhere)xx

    Did you say that was mulberry bark ?
    Also. What is the fabric square that you are creating upon ? Muslin ?

    • @alisonwhateleydesign502
      @alisonwhateleydesign502  3 года назад

      Yes it is mulberry bark. it works so well when creating waves in seascapes. The base fabric is a fine fir tarlatan scrim which you can buy from my Etsy shop www.etsy.com/uk/listing/945746410/fine-stiff-tarlatan-scrim?ref=shop_home_active_1&frs=1&crt=1

    So how did you attach your embellishments?

    • @alisonwhateleydesign502
      @alisonwhateleydesign502  2 года назад

      I use clear thread to attach all my embellishments, so I don't detract from the pieces themselves.
