This tutorial is so good! In fact love all your tutorials. I always wondered how to do the waves. For one of my projects, I literally powdered a white fabric with my rotary cutter and stuck it. Thank you for doing these tutorials.
Hi Michelle, parts 1-4 are all on there. If you go to my home page and then click on 'videos' at the top you will be able to find them all. Best wishes Alison
I am wanderung how you decide which fabric you put where 🤔 . Surely you have some idea that help you to decide if die silk comes first or the cotton one. Maybe you can tell us more about that? I do like these tutorials very much and will try to follow them this weekend🙋♀️💖
I’ve finished my piece and I love it! I’m going to make it into a card for my friend so I will add some beads and things so I can get it in the post, ASAP. Every year I try to outdo myself with the card I make for her, and I know she will be thrilled with this one. Thank you so much! But what about next year? 😂 💚
Thank you for this amazing set of tutorials on making a seascape. I can't wait to try this. One question for clarification... At the start of #2 you mentioned having added shimmers and waves, and I can see that you have, but it was not included in the first video. How did I miss it? I am new to this. Please help so I can move forward. Thank you.
@@alisonwhateleydesign502 TY, I'm not a professional like yourself and have been using crinolin for the larger pieces. Do you see any problem with using this material?

basically it is a gut feeling. I play around with different colours and textures until I am happy with the combination.

Thankyou for your video. If you stick the fabric, do you need to machine it as well?
Hello Linda, yes you do as it is only a temporary adhesive.
what do you use as the base fabric?
Best
I was wondering why you use beautiful textured fabric for the backing when it is not seen?
The fabric I use has been chosen because it is fine but also firm so that I don't have to use a ring or stabiliser.

@@smasters916 No as long as it works for you that is fine.
Simple question. Do you bring up your bobbin thread?
