Bought real-time materials yesterday and I’m so excited to use it in my projects 🙏
Thank you!!!
I already have and use it for a year
You can press Z twice (or whatever axis you want to rotate on) after pressing R, that will rotate the object on its local coordinates so you won't need to add the second empty.
Is there a place to type in the numbers, similar in the way that I did in the video. Rather than doing it with my mouse?
@@TheDucky3D you can type the number in the viewport, like after pressing Z twice you can type a number say 45 degrees and the object will rotate on its local axis by that number but in the N-panel it will change the rotation according to global coordinates so all other axes will be affected too. Can make the graph editor messy because all rotation channels are affected this way
Yes you can do that, but can't animate that way cuz the calculation of transformation doesn't work like that in Blender, when you press Z it rotates on global axis, when you press it twice it rotates on local axis, but while animating it, it will animate either on local or global, or maybe it will create a new transformation axis called W
I don't think Blender generates a W transformation channel automatically unless you set the rotation to Quaternion(WXYZ).
You will be able to animate as you normally do but sometimes it's just easier, visually, to manipulate on local coordinates. But as I said, it will affect all transformation channels that you're animating.
@@tanishq6731 idk but animation doesn't work like you said, the technique ducky used is the best optimal technique you can use to do such animation
Been binging all your videos lately and I can't get enough of them. Many thanks for the time put in making these videos!
Dude thank you! I’m glad you like them!
Thanks for being such a great Blender community evangelist! 👍👍
Thanks!
Ctrl+Shift+T will let you open the whole principled texture in one go. You just select all the maps you need and if they are named properly, they will auto populate with the Texture Coordinate and the Mapping node as well. You have to remove the DX or GL from the name of the normal map or it won't pick it up(AmbientCG).
Hi Ducky 3D! Thanks for the real-time materials. you are a Blender god.
Thank you!!!
Ok ok, I've completed about 50 of your tutorials now so I figured I should give back - Realtime Materials is really nice!
Thank you so much my man!!
you should try adding bounciness to the spheres so it looks more realistic
and it will stop the balls from getting stuck on the rods
every time i see u videos, i admire, how can you come up with this easy and amazing stuff
I appreciate that!
Love it ! Kinda like a washing machine roulette wheel!
True!!
I think for the rotation at 7:48 you can change the Y rotation under the delta transform.
Thank you so much for this tutorials
This was an amazing tutorial, as an advanced beginner I was actually able to follow it. Some of your tutorials I end up stopping part way through do to not understanding what to turn on to get thee camera right in the scene or other things that I have not learned yet.
I have a question, I was interested in buying your material pack, I can not find a list of the exact materials included. I am learning hard surface modeling and looking for specific materials for plastics and rubber.
Useful information. Thank you.👍
I’m glad you think so!
To point a light at something press Shift + T
I finally did it. I bought Real Time Materials. Can't wait to start using it in some future projects.
That’s awesome!!
This was super challenging for me, But I enjoyed every bit of it.... other then the rendering haha
Awesome
Same
13:26 "save me plz" is wild lmaooo
You are awesome 👍.
Love you from Egypt
Thanks man!!
❤
And don't worry I am not going to be coping you I am talking about if you make a toturial they I loved so much so can I make it by saying that it is your ideas
Ducky never disappoint us with his tutorialz.......🦑
The hank you!
the goat.

Ist a Bit faster
After you inset Both Faces, just use Bridge on Loop Tools
Works also
Instead of using two empties why not change it to "ZYX Euler" mode, then the rotation is applied to the Z axis before any of the others, enabling you to spin it like a top while rotating it on the X/Y axis like that marble game everyone remembers from when they were a kid...
can it work for dices? like D20, D10, D8 and D4? would they fall on random faces or would it always be 20/10/8/4 up?
It should work
You're a demi God of 3d nate
Haha thanks
Any particular reason to make the wooden part out of two cylynders and not one then inset/extrude?
Epic!
Thanks!
@Ducky 3D
I want to follow that tut but somehow.
somehow the sphere keeps floating even though it is set to active in the rigid body tab animation is also on. in that field, or properties menu.
do you have gravity turned on under "scene"?
@@GZWA yes
Why don’t people make advanced tutorials that aren’t for beginners. It would be really nice to see
I love playing with rigid body sims. I made a plinko-like animation a few days ago. Didn't look this good though lol
Their so fun!!
You have the bridge loops option just when doing ctrl E i think 🤔
Ahhh
When I scale the obstacles like you do in 11:27, my obstacles move up und it is almost impossible to put them back on the ground.
is there any way to make this simulation a loop animation? Thanks a to!
I tried to research that when making this tutorial, i couldent find any info on looping rigid bodies
@@TheDucky3D sad but thanks for your reply! Last thing, you’re my hero🙆🏻♂️💪🏻
Hi Duke, How do you manage to make the roll with all types of view (camera, front, right....)? is there a shortcut, i heart tilde key but I m on a mac :(
Tilde key
Hi! I'd like to try to make this Tutorial work in Unreal Engine 5, would you mind if I did?
No problem at all!
💖
when i apply "visual transform" the balls still move around 20 frames.
Has anyone faced an issue in version 3.6 where you can't select the edges or face of an object in edit mode? It doesn't show the options near the edit mode dropdown to select the vertices, edges or faces. I've not been able to figure out how to fix it.
Nice but why did you call it "Crazy Simulation"?
Because that’s how I feel about it!
Anyone else getting 'coupon expired'
blender sims still look janky rather than c4d
Pc specs
Ah
13:58 why not u delete it

You can use ald+d instead shift+d to duplicate object)) . You realy dont now about this?))
im getting dumber i think cause you say this is super approachable and im getting beyond frustrated with it. thinking about giving up 3d for good. AI coming for this territory anyway
