The heavy haul dlc was definitely worth the 5 bucks in my opinion. It gives you a little extra challenge and it's definitely cool to see a truck with a trailer and 2 stingers hauling an asphalt scraper down the road
I hate to burst your bubble, Jeff, but I don't think this trailer came with the Heavy Haul DLC. I have it installed and every trailer was articulated. Not to mention the Over-sized Load sign on the trailer. Every trailer has it, but this one didn't.

For the heavy haul, you are actually looking for the engine with the most torque (as opposed to power) to help you get rolling, a gearbox with a higher ratio (in the range of 13.5 or 15.5) as well as a retarder for slowing down better. Also, try the trailers with multiple articulation points, makes for some real frustrating parking situations, haha. Oh and I love your videos!

In Europe, at least in the UK it's rare to see a police car on the motorway. Partly because in most of Europe everything is controlled through speed cameras and digital signs, Unlike American. Also the cars hitting the apex is often caused by groves caused by lorries. A trailer naturally takes the racing line. This creates groves over time which the cars follow. Like train tracks. (I tweeted you about ETS2) Great video BTW.
4:05 Oh yes, I was actually wondering what took you so long to play it :) It's worth its price in my opinion, it added variety in my runs and they also took me on some roads I never had to use before. $5 is definitely an honest price for a DLC. My only grief is the AI that can be damn annoying and not giving you room in turns, it's only annoying with a regular haul but that's a real issue with heavy ones.
Jeff Favignano, when you make Euro Truck Simulator 2 content, then you should return it with you trying out the France DLC besides the Scandinavia DLC, and the Going East DLC as well! When the New Mexico DLC is officially released, make another American Truck Simulator video after you purchase the DLC and see how good New Mexico is before you give your First Impressions of the state in the game itself!
I picked up the DLC and I think it’s amazing. I used a Xbox controller for the first couple of days. Then my Logitech g29 arrived and man. Lemme say. I love playing ATS 10 times more and it makes a big difference. It makes that driving experience much better. Anyways back to the add on, I think they did a great job with it. It’s tough to make turns in certain areas and sometimes the AI T-bone ya but you get used to it. It is definitely worth it though.
i found if you stop infront of the AI while turning (as in your about to hit them) wait a couple seconds and theyll actually back up and allow you to make the turn
Jacob Sackter As the other person said, stop infront, they will back up. Also, take the turns as wide as possible and very last min turning. I hardly have any issues with the AI in the way.
Hey Jeff first off enjoy all your videos from lspdfr doj and truck SIM. I am a heavy haul driver have been for few years before that just a van hauler. I enjoy heavy haul over van I like the challenges heavy haul brings to the table. A few pointers in real life oversized banners are required both on the front of the truck and rear of the trailer. also idk if the game allows it but any load that sticks off the trailer has to be flagged at the furthest point. And last that right mirror is your best friend also hood mirrors I use them religiously helps gives you a full view of your truck and trailer when making turns. its not the lenght of the trailer its the placement of the trailer axles. thats an amazing that game put that in. keep up the good work!!!! man I love the cascadia, it was actually the first big rig I ever rode in, and considering how common it is it needs to be added as a dlc or added to the steam workshop, don't you agree??

I run triple screens on a GTX970 and virtually never get any frame drops, and in Vegas only. You might need to turn stuff down, but with mods... I am betting on the mods.
we had a storm go through pa yesterday the 21st of june and it spawned two EF0-0 tornadoes within a 100 mile radius of my house and on a liter note I am loving the heavy haul dlc its so worth it and I cant wait for doubles and new mexico in ats

I'm using TSM's latest beta on ETS2 myself and have only found one spot so far in northern spain where it crashes. Does this truck have a 6 speed transmission option?
i love the new GTAO semi trucks. its a double wide trailer with an accessible interior. but jack-knifing is so not legit. but it would be good for DOJ, but you would need police to be familiar with wide load worthy roads. besides that its like a camper trailer you can park anywhere.

It's ok for what it is and the price. I generally run a long frame Pete and over sized trailer mods, so it hasn't been all that challenging. Though it is a preview of double trailers which are coming soon, can't wait.
the promods mod order is important jeff.. also promods must be on the very bottom of the modlist aka has to be loaded (in the important order) first. :) downgrading will not help for you. maybe ask in the promods forum. :) or ask paul aka squirrle :) i like both heavy dlcs with ats and ets2.

Which way did you install promods? Did you give them a $1 or did you just do it manually? And it does work on the latest version of ets 1.27.

I like the Heavy Haul DLC but what it really needs is some pilot cars guiding you to your destination.
My Very Favorite Trucks Are The:
1. Freightliner M2 Tractor Edition Eaton Fullet 18 Speed
2. Freightliner Columbia Eaton Fullet 18 Speed
3. Fregithliner Cascadia Eaton Fullet 18 Speed

SCS doesn't take pre orders for DLC. They'll just add it to Steam one day, and then post an announcement on their blog stating that it's released.
