- At a glance, the Geochron is a lovely map of the Earth. But if you know how to read it you'll see this it's actually full of much more information. Here's an overview of how to read the information on a Geochron. For this video I'm using the Geochron Atlas 4K digital device, but you can read all of the same information on a mechanical Geochron too.

Great video. I just got a Geochron and did not know what the "mobius strip" at noon was. Now I do!
I found a mechanical Geochron in an antique shop today and was immediately intrigued. Thanks for this great video that explained how it works,.I'll be going back there and see if I can make a deal!
EXCELLENT JOB WELL DONE 👏 ✔ 👍
Ha Ha, I kept wanting to scroll around on your video! Great job explaining Geochron. I had no idea it would be so interesting. [Got here looking for another Greg Anderson -- honest cop who got fired for telling people to honor the Constitution.] Now I will need to go find a Geochron to scroll around on. Perhaps a link to this in your description?
I don't understand the line of travel of the sun. Say i live in the Gold Coast Queensland Australia, sun rise in the east, sets in the west.
Our mid summer, does that mean the sun is equal in its dispersement of light North and south?
looking at your map and the infinity shape between Cancer and Capricorn and where the sun is positioned, displays northern hemisphere summer. So Antarctica should be in its 6 months of darkness very short daylight hours at the southern tip of New Zealand.
And opposite when Gold Coast has it mid summer darkness in the far north.
Map does not display this. Wondering why?
Thank you Great map awesome job by all. Thank you.
What 4k tv are you using??
My 4K TV is a 50-inch Samsung 7 series. I’ve been pretty happy with it. I’ve had it for about 2 years.
Aha, go find Patrick is the answer.
There are people on RUclips who say the world is flat, so obviously none of this video could be true.
If the Earth were flat it would look EXACTLY like a Geochron!
