"Ankara is the capital of Russia"
Well done, Jack.
😂
The Russian audience must be triggered
The reddit will love that 😭.
i WaS y0unG I WaS f0oliSh
also "scotland isnt defined but im sure it existed", scotland is 84 years older (history wise) 💀💀💀
Jack: Has a successful geography channel with a big audience for 4 and 1/2 years.
Also Jack: *A N K A R A I S T H E C A P I T A L C I T Y O F R U S S I A*
Jack 3 minutes later: *_C A L L S T U R K I Y E _**_-R U S S I A-_**_ A G A I N_*
At least it was noticed in editing but it's still a very silly mistake
@@Shillabritish Not noticed by Jack though.
How did he do it twice
Basically, everyone can't moan about their geography mistakes but can about jacks.
What time did he say annkara was cap of russia
2:53 Jack claims to know things
2:48 Jack calls Thailand Myanmar
also jack calling turkey russia 2 times
As my mom is from Thailand, when he called Thailand as Myanmar, I died
bro stupid
I was going to point out the Myanmar and Thailand thing but you did it first
6:34 Jack got very lucky that Kai did that
6:34 "Ankara is the capital of Russia"
GREAT. Now I feel nostalgic. 😅
On his face cam he left *turkey, he got just mixed up
Crimean war gone wrong be like
@@PhangWithTheBanghe doesn't edit his videos tho
@@ISEONIX then who edits his videos?
Kai does
2:45 I love how Jack said that Thailand was Myanmar but then 5 seconds later he says "Jack knows things" when he's referring to him knowing Liberia.
Jack literally called Turkey Russia twice in this video.
Glad it was not just me lol
What’s the difference between making a mistake and literally making a mistake? How does the word literally change that statement? Asking for a friend.
1:42 is definitely going to be the next no context upload
hear without looking.
4:52 😂😂😂
"Ankara is the capital of Russia"
Hmm I'm not sure about that Jack
😂😂😂
I ate a lemon

6:33 “Ankara is the capital of Russia” 💀
Can’t wait for Jack to get ridiculed for this!
Then, 9:27 “It is compulsory to vote once you’re eligible in Russia” 💀
Another thing for Jack to get ridiculed about…
At least it was noticed in editing it.
Literally what I was gonna say
“Ankara is the capital of Russia.”
-Jack Massey Welsh, 2024.
Canada means "the village" because it was colonially rewritten from the Indigenous term, "Kanata" which literally means "village". There's actually a town called Kanata in the Ottawa suburbs and that's how the colonial name "Canada" came into existence.
So true! (I’m Canadian 🇨🇦
@Donutdunot Hahaha ( lol 😂
I wonder if it's a similar situation to how the UK ended up with 4 rivers literally named "River River", since when the Roman Empire invaded and started making maps (because they were so big on map making), they pointed at a river and asked "what's that called?" and the native UK people went "uhh... a river?" and the Romans just nodded and wrote down "River River"
Or at least that's the story I've heard.
So like the Europeans came to Canada and asked "what's this place called?" and the natives just said "this is a village" and the Europeans nodded and wrote that.
I’d like it more if it was “Ca nada” translation “nothing here”
2:51:
"Yeah Jack knows things 😎😎"
A few seconds before:
Mixes up Thailand as Myanmar
2:52 "Jack knows things!"
a few seconds ago: *calls thailand myanmar*
Haha
Lol
Jack called Turkey Russia TWICE!!
2:42 Jack : Myanmar
Me : it is thailand
9:27 Jack, the channel name is really shining through here.
finally someone who noticed it!
4:52 þ makes a th sound
0:38 that isnt the mercator projection
That's platte cerre projection
I was about to say that
Subreddit is gonna go wild
Hopefully this makes it to the Reddit video
No it’s the equirectangular projection
6:39 Russia is a lot smaller than i remember it lmao

Belgian here! I can see how compulsory voting might be seen as annoying, and to be fair I would be annoyed too, but I've got to say they really make it super easy. You get your voting stub in the mail automatically (you don't have to register) , which tells you where to go (it's usually not farther away than a few kilometers from where you live, especially in highly populate areas and most of BE is highly populated/urbanized) and on what day. It's always on a weekend and organized in schools or sports halls etc. For me it is 2 mins away by foot lol so I do it on my way to the bakery in the morning. You can choose at what time to go, and depending on that you might wait 5 minutes up to 30 mins. Longest I've personally had to wait to cast my vote was 10 mins lol, but then again I always go early in the morning to avoid the crowds; It's super easy. If you can't go because you're on holiday/sick/... you can easily get another person to cast your vote for you, but then you do have to go to city hall to ask for it. If it weren't organized as well I would be annoyed that it was compulsory I think, but still vote, it's such a privilege to have that right!
6:33 Russia?? 😅 . Old Jack just popped up
Not the only time also did it at 9:26
7:10 Does Jack really not notice the fact that Germany controls both Austria and Czechia on this map? And does he really think that France and the uk controlled most of Africa in the 80s???
Your the best RUclipsr ever and have inspired me to learn geography myself. Thank you so much and keep up the great work my brother!!! ❤🌍
"Ankara is the capital of Russia"
How many strokes can you have in a minute?! 😂 4:37
2:22
Map: Thailand has not been colonized
Translated to Jackanese with the Jack's vision: Myanmar has not been colonized
I love these geography videos
@0:54 actually the Mercator projection gives you a good idea how far all the land is from one another. It stretches out at the top and bottom because the Earth is globe. On the map you're looking at the continents are accurate sizes but the oceans are stretched to compensate
5:24 One of the reasons why the poster used Bananas might be the fact that a popular meme on the Internet has "Banana for scale" when measuring/comparing things
“ankara is the capital of Russia ” 100% going to be in the next Reddit video
Love your vids keep it up
Keep up the great content, Jack! Always make me smile. :)
Jack: "Yeah Jack knows things"
Also Jack: *Calls Turkiye Russia for the rest of the video*
When Jack tried to pronounce Germany in different languages it killed me 😭💀
thank you for posting it when im bored
3:04 this is because when asked for what the name of their country was, the first nations responded "canada," they were just inviting the europeans to their village, but it was mistook as the name of the land and it stuck.
7:38 "aw whatever" *brrrrrrnt*
2:36 he calls Thailand Myanmar 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
04:41 You've already had this map in a video earlier, but I appreciate that you pronounce "Németország" much better than the last time.
Hell yeah! New geography video
poor turkey is not feeling the love
He Russia instead of turkey twice
this is the channel im never missing a vid
I swear Jack is never gonna run out of new titles
Bro said Russia 💀💀💀

Yup I thought Myanmar was colonised by Britain as Burma
2:47
At 2:47 Jack says “Oh and Myanmar.”
When it is thailand and he proceeds to say “Yes, Jack Knows Things”
no unfortunately you dont. 😂
He’s slowly running out of titles
''ankara is the capital of russia''
Huh
7:48 At some unknown time, the Uralic-speaking peoples migrated from Central Asia into Europe, modern day Hungary and Scandinavia, which explains why Finland and Hungary are the only countries that do this while every else does forename then surname.
Beef, I don't like country music, but I will listen to that into over and over 😂 please have that be a running bit in the future
8:19 India was a part of Antarctica no Africa
IK FR
bro the fact that jack calls Thailand Myanmar at 2:46 and then 5 seconds later says,”Yes, Jack knows things!”
Best type of videos do more
In Iceland we traditionally take the father’s first name and then add son/son or dóttir/daughter at the end, so for example, Jóhannsdóttir would be translated to Johanns daughter or the daughter of Johann. We also do take the mother’s first name if the father wasn’t in the picture we the baby was born
What's more interesting is his new title format
When he arrives at Iceland "I'm not even gonna attempt that" lol 😂
I love going to the capital of Russia, Ankara, I love looking at the great Russian Mosque, the Hagia Sophia
Hey Jack, I have a video idea for you. I recently bought a few flags off of temu and I thought it would be cool if you did the same and made a video about it. I bought a USA, UK, and Germany one and they are all good quality for the 2 dollars I spent on them. I hope you see this and I love your videos.
4:10 - I have just written my essay on the Cold War for school. Feel free to listen to my two hour lecture on it.
2:42 Britain: Why you guys looking at me?
6:34 Jack your knowledge is astounding
8:10 I'd love to see Jack attempt to answer his own questions with google searches or opera browser more often
2:45 Jack knows things!!
proceeds to call thailand myanmar
Jack: *calls Thailand Myanmar*
Also Jack 2 seconds later: “YEAH, JACK KNOWS THINGS 😂”
can you make a video where you try and draw historical countries?
4:50 "I'm not even gonna attempt that one" brrrrrrnt
Countries with compulsory voting generally also make it as simple as possible to vote, because the point is to encourage voting rather than punish not voting
5:06 this car brand is Lada.
Nah that’s Nintendo DS
Let's goo jack uploaded a new vid 💚
0:35 No, this is the Equirectangular Projection which makes both of the Poles equal to a gridline (if you know what I am talking about, of course)
2:51 “Jack knows things”
Also jack 10 seconds earlier: calls thailand myanmar
4:51 thanks for missing out Norway the part i was waiting for
6:34
Dude really said Turkey as Russia🤣🤣🤣
Classic Jack
9:13 Because there wasn’t enough room to put it in the right place so the creator of the map had to put it in the Bay of Biscay
1:54 "you're not fooling anyone" brrrrrrrnt
I love this video!
these maps were interesting Jack
2:25 "generally speaking rather positive mottos" meanwhile virginia: "overthrow and k!ll tyrants"

The thumbnail is if we played on Earth in Subnautica
2:47 my dear jack, that Is Thailand....
Also jack 3 sec later: " i know things!! "
FYI, our state motto here in Iowa is also on our state flag on a ribbon held in the beak of an eagle.
jack's birthday party should be about geography
8:55 from London to Perth
One of the funniest stories I have ever heard is that the reason New South Wales is called that is because when explorers sailed past it, the barren lifeless and dull landscape reminded them of south wales.
1:42 I already know that’s gonna be used in a no context clip 😂😅
That Þýskaland Þ is an old letter called Thorn that makes a TH sound still used in Icelandic that used to be used in a lot of languages like old English, it was derived from the rune of the same name, so that would be “th-ee-ska-Lond” I believe.
4:35 In Bulgaria we pronounce it GERMANIYA , but jack pronounced it quite good 👍
"Is that Liberia? Yeah, Jack knows things!"
Also him 5 seconds ago, calling Thailand Myanmar.
