If there is a ton of old sealant and it’s real bad I’d recommend removing it. But in this case, I went over the old stuff. In 3-4 years, if I have to do this roof again I will be removing what I put down before adding new
That fact that you have to put on so much, says that its garbage. Dicor is horrible. Use Foever Lap sealant. 100 times better. Unless you can find Premier Pro sealant.

Thanks for giving your opinion of the caulk gun from Lowe’s. I can’t even tell how it would work.
It’s an interesting design and would most likely work with silicone or caulk. But it was no match for this thick stuff lol

How many tubes of lap sealant did you use? I have a roof in similar condition, so I am trying to gauge how much I will need.
