    Also, I followed your previous video for tips, clear powder and then the S&Co peel base. Going on day 3 with four coats of peel base and my nails are still cemented down. .lol. I haven't had luck with peel base. On my natural nail I've done 6 coats of peel base and they wouldn't budge off my nails and I had to soak them off. I was hoping this would have been my solution on how I could change my colors out more without using acetone.

    so when you decided you were ready for a full color change, how far down did you remove? To the natural nail, or just to where the peel base came off of the powder dip base? Did you have to file around the edges to get to the peel coat?

    Thank you for this tutorial! I just ordered some peel base to try this method instead of soak off. I am curious- in the beginning of the video, you mentioned you were putting clear on your natural nail, I really like that idea so that it holds in the tips to last longer! But why were you having to re-apply the clear to your natural nail? Did it come off with the peel base? or Did you take it off for the process video? I am thinking if the clear stays on, I can just do clear fills in between manis?

    I don’t wear tips, so if I do the layer of clear under the peel base, wouldn’t I have to soak that off after I remove my color before I do my next mani? I don’t want to defeat the purpose of peel base!

    Hi Hun, how are you? I hope you're doing great. Also, I know this is a very old video but I have a question, is it just this brand you've tried for the peel off base and does that brand call for the user to use 3 coats? It just seems like a lot. The ones I've purchased or have seen on different websites they also call for one coat, possibly two but never 3. I'm curious if they require the user to use 3 coats because it's not that good and actually needs 3 in order for it to work VS the ones that only call for you to use one coat obviously it's going to last the buyer way longer because we don't have to use twice as much and you'll obviously go through the bottle way faster and have to buy it more often, unlike the brands that require only one. Those will last way longer which means less money spent. Which for some people that may not matter because they have the money and don't have to keep an eye on their account like I do, lol. So yeah, just curious if it calls for the user to use 3 coats, or if that's just your preference. It just seems like a bit much and I'd think with so much of the product that the nails would pop off way too fast. Anyways, I'm sorry about the book I just typed for you lol. I know I repeated some things. Anyways, stay safe and healthy Hun. Xoxo ❤️🙏

    • @Be-YOU-tifulNailsByKatie
      @Be-YOU-tifulNailsByKatie  2 года назад

      Hey there! It definitely doesn't require 3 coats. This is just what works for me :)
      I always do a base of clear dip over my natural nails before peel base.
      When I use peel base on my natural nails, 1 coat worked for a few nails but others popped off too soon. 2 coats, same, etc. For whatever reason, 3 coats over my clear base worked really well. I am able to pop them off easily whenever I want to change my mani or they can last me 3+ weeks. Peel base works differently for everyone's nails (some people only dp a Stripe down the middle, some do a full coat, some do 2, etc.) It's whatever works best for your nails.
      It is all preference lol

    Hi! I just purchased Sparkle & Co peel base and plan on using with my mani this weekend. I like my manis to last 2 weeks. Should I use 3 coats of peel base? Do I need to apply to entire nail? I've watched a lot of reviews and I understand I need to find the right fit that works for me but I'm not sure where to begin with what number of peel base coats needed. Thanks!

    • @Be-YOU-tifulNailsByKatie
      @Be-YOU-tifulNailsByKatie  4 года назад

      I personally do the entire nail, yes. Some apply to just the center on the nail, not touching edges at all.
      I would try 2 or 3 coats and see how it goes :) then adjust the amount from there

      Hey! :) I personally like using a clear dip because I know exactly how many coats of peel base to use and how long it can last me vs using it on my natural nails, I have tried 2 coats and some popped off within a few days.
      Also, I can build my apex and structure with the clear dip and won't have to worry about losing my shape or structure/foundation when I buff and file.
      Also, I use clear dip for strength and do gel polish over it too! I get the pleasure of using all of my gel polishes and playing with gel but have the strength of dip

  • @laurenfisher2470

    I've tried with two and three layers of the peel off base but can't get my thumbs/pointers/middle fingers to last more than 2 days, seems like they take turns, today it was both thumbs. The others haven't budged, I feel like I followed your tutorial pretty well but can get it to stay.
