Arthur is one of those rare educational shows for kids that teaches lessons while not talking down to the kids. Treating the young audience as equals prevents shows like Arthur and Sesame Street from being unbearable to watch as an adult unlike say, Dora. I found myself watching Arthur until I was in 6th grade.
I never watched Postcards from Buster on the PBS Kids Go block I only remember seeing it on commerical breaks, the Funding Credits ,and the interstials thingy.
True. Honestly, I have no idea why the parents don't have her see an intensive therapist to help deal with all her over-the-top outbursts and tantrums. Poor Arthur has to take the brunt of her anger and the parents rarely do anything to stop it, except for putting her in timeout that one time for being mad at Baby Kate.
Well, to be fair, she didn't know what actually happens during a wedding, and when she did, she instantly regretted it, and it's implied in the end that she apologized to James for the misunderstanding
While D.W. had many of her worst moments, she had good moments like that time she went inside in a instrument to get Aunt Lucy's wedding ring. Also, she that if she gets married, she lets anyone help out, tried to save her favorite TV show from being canceled, Let Arthur go to an event with his friends instead of him help clean her room and in that one episode she called Hana out for not inviting to a concert with her and her friends and calling her little friend.
I’ve always liked Fern and Sue Ellen Fern is so sweet, shy and has a respectable interest in poetry and mystery, she may have gone too far in making comics about Francine, but after all the times Francine got away with bullying, it doesn’t really bother me Sue Ellen is also pretty nice, I also like how assertive she is, I also think it is kinda cute that she might possibly have a crush on Arthur 😊😊😊

You didn't have the Tibble Twins on here. They're closest to being in the gray tier. True they're four, but they literally exist to make D.W. look like an angel. 😇They live with their rich grandmother who spoils them rotten and rarely disciplines or sets boundaries for them. She basically believes that's boys will be boys and that they are too young to be held to "older" standards. She sees them as her little angels. They're parents are almost never around due to their careers and traveling, although I believe they're mother literally takes on more work just so she doesn't have to deal with them. With all that said, they aren't "bad" kids per say, and they don't like to hurt anybody or truly make anybody feel bad. They can be good friends at times.
Dont forget the Tibbles have a room full of toys they actually take care of. When the kids saw how bad Arthur's teddy bear got, they took the bear to their grandma to fix. They may be terrible at times, but they do have their moments.
@@gracejindra2727 we don’t see them but in one episode they say they got stuff from there travel in the one where d.w loses her back pack and in the Arthur’sBigApp when you tap on there grandma it said she looks after them when there mom travel’s
Yeah, they have moments where they have some moments of care or concern, such as in "The Secret About Secrets" where they get concerned for DW when she hurts her elbow right after they were teasing her
Same here. The finale was bittersweet and good, a tear jerker ngl. I’ll always cherish this show, no matter how old i get. Bc it was fun to grow up alongside our favorite aardvark.
Arthur is one of the best kid's shows ever made! I would say this show was on the same level as Hey Arnold. There were a lot of great characters, who were relatable, and they went through everyday situations. And the voice cast for each show was mostly kids! I would say this show for the most part, is timeless. Yes there may be some outdated technology, but the stories are still relevant to this day without being heavy handed. I haven't seen the newer episodes, but I will always cherish the first few seasons of Arthur!!
Muffy threw a potluck dinner, made sure every dish had meat in it, and threw away the vegetarian dishes that Francine and Sue Ellen brought. She's an absolute monster. I do love that Muffy and Francine are best friends but hate each other so much lol
Looking back on it, Buster is probably one of the best characters since he’s the only one of the kids who’s completely comfortable with themselves and doesn’t care what people thinks about him. All the other kids have an interest or hobby that embarrasses them but Buster just goes along with anything without being a jerk. Plus he’s a good friend that (mostly) is sympathetic, even though he has his lapses of judgement or jealousy
Muffy actually went through a surprising amount of development She never stops being melodramatic, or needy, or spoiled, but she becomes far less rude and far nicer,
Arthur is a good kid, but he makes mistakes like other kids his age. I guess that's what makes him unique: a kid watching this show can put themselves in his head and relate to what he's going through. He has flaws, but who doesn't? If there's one lesson to learn from him, it's no-one's perfect, and he nails that to a tee.
Buster Baxter is the most good character from Arthur in my opinion he's my favorite. He has a kind heart most of the time, a high appetite for food, and is a loyal friend to Arthur helping him out. Also Mr. Ratburn is a good teacher role model despite being a bit strict at times.😇🐰🐀🥕🥪📕
I think The Brain is the Most Good Arthur character given how tactical he is and his suggestions don’t harm his friends physically and he’s very social and open to anyone. As for Mr. Ratburn, he can’t exactly be considered good, but he’s more neutral. Sure, he’s doing his job as a teacher, but since the series was from the perspective of Arthur, the viewers were set not to really care for Mr. Ratburn. Although, there were some instances where Arthur viewed Mr. Ratburn as a friend rather than an overly strict and uptight teacher, which is relatable for students who have a hard time maintaining a healthy relationship with their teachers.
D.W. may be a brat a lot of the time But she’s actually pretty mature in episodes that focus on her and her interactions with people her age like her friend Emily and The Tibbles
Honestly, people can say what they want about DW, but for a four year old (I think she's four), she's pretty tame compared to a lot of 4 year olds. Most of the time, she's just sassy and picky. The only thing I remember her doing that was pretty terrible was her breaking Arthur's model airplane. Otherwise, she's annoying at worst (though she's also pretty entertaining).

I think the only legitmallly bad character to ever appear in the show was Supreme Dog. He was a very corrupt business owner who had no qualms over selling a highly addictive candy to children even trying to pass off their crashes by saying it will only stop by eating more. It's really telling where he is the only character in the show to be shown to have been arrested.
It is crazy to me how this series is two years younger than me yet it only just now ended. For a children's show that is particularly impressive. Oh Yes! I loved this show as a kid and always watched the show after school Between this, Thomas, VeggieTales and most Qubo Shows. This is definitely one of my favorite childhood shows.
I'm sad that the show is ending, but it's for the best because this show has lasted for years and it's usually not a good thing for a show lasting this long (look at Family Guy, The Simpsons, Fairly Oddparents, Thomas)
The best part of Arthur for me has to be the endless amounts of characters they introduced and most of all got there own special episode the lore of the show is something no other children’s show can possibly top
Man, I loved watching Arthur when I was a kid, and hell, I even watched it as a teenager and I still watch it as an adult! It felt so bittersweet when it ended back in February of 2022, like the show was a part of my childhood, as a 2000s kid watching PBS Kids! Thank you, Marc Brown for an amazing show!
Arthur is my favorite cartoon of all time aside from Ed Edd n Eddy. The show was my childhood and the particular aardvark is one of my personal favorite characters (and I can easily relate to).
I actually think it could have been a good-to-evil list. @@dewaynerobvais4030 Because, as mentioned in the video, he's pulled a lot of crappy stunts, such as obsessing over a joke at Sue Ellen's expense, having major anger issues, and breaking promises.
I personally think that Nadine should’ve been on this list! Even though she only spoke to DW, Pal, and Kate, she still was a really good character! As an imaginary friend, she tried so hard to be the voice of reason whenever DW was in a tough situation! Nadine was patient, kind, and a great listener! Maybe you can do a video about her next!
D.W. did not deserve patience, kindness, or a voice of reason, though. And there's a certain spoiler-y reveal in one of the final episodes that implies she may not be so good after all...
I have a theory about Nadine tho…. What if she’s a ghost of a dead child? And D.W, Kate, and Pal were the only ones who could see her. No one else sees her. Do you guys think this theory is bs or maybe a bit good?
There are two characters in this show who are are even more morally depraved than D.W.: Supreme Dog from the episode "To Eat or Not to Eat" and Cousin Cora from "D.W. Thinks Big." Anyone who has seen those episodes should know what I mean. I think it should have been Supreme Dog as least good, Cora as second least, and D.W. as third least.
During the early seasons of the show, Francine was the biggest bully of the show. Even Arthur called her out on it in the later seasons saying, "You don't remember being mean?" I guess one bad Brain moment would be when Arthur trains for a race in his city. I don't remember the episode too much but I just remember Arthur catching up to him and Brain was surprised. He then cheats in the end by using some shoe hack to make him run faster. It's not a bad moment compared to others, but It still triggers me to this day
Can you do a Horrid Henry: good to evil video because I first had the idea because Henry's parents aren't good parents in most episodes and how Peter is good but also naughty as well
That's a great idea. Also, yeah, it's painfully clear that the parents (the mom especially) has some clear favoritism for Peter over Henry. I get that Henry is more mischievous, but jezz.... As someone with a younger sibling who's more favored than me by my parents, I feel for Henry. Even when he's not doing anything wrong, the mom always has to say, "Don't be horrid, Henry!" While referring to the younger sibling as "Perfect Peter".
@@amazing7761 Yeah. I also feel sorry for him because of how that his parents aren't good parents. I remember the one episode where his mom said that she won't take him to see the Killer Boy Rats because she hates them
Arthur's anger issues are rooted. Other than George, he is bullied the most out of his friends, his little sister also pushes him ALOT, with mum and dad letting it go. Im not saying David and Jane are not good parents, but Arthur needs a little more support to help with his anger issues and Arthur needs to find a way to tell people how he feels insted of bottleing up his feelings. Francine had an episode on bottling up feelings, but if Arthur didnt end two years ago, they really needed to have an episode addresing Arthurs bottled up feelings and healthy ways to let them out or show them.
I love writing stories, just like Fern does. Because both of us like writing stories, but I don't write poetry. I wish that I could be in the show and meet all of the characters in Ellwood City. That would be fun and awesome, because I had a dream last night that I was in Ellwood City with Arthur and his pals. Sabrina Griffin
I'd love to see a good too evil of "The Rescuers/Rescuers Down Under and "The Great Mouse Detective", two of my favorites. I probably already know how the characters would be ranked!
mr ratburn "I was a real fatty ratty" also Mr ratburn "I'm going to marry a chocolatier" Mr ratburn is playing with fire I can only hope deviantart does not realize the fetish potential.
Alan Powers was always my favorite. The character I hated was Dora Winifred Read. This show was part of my childhood. I'll miss it. One critic point I'd like to point out is that there are times in the series that don't emphasize wise parenting. This point is proven true when it comes to David and Jane Read not properly disciplining or advising D.W. for her mistakes or other actions. An example includes D.W. breaking Arthur's model jet plane, despite that he told her not to touch it, and the viewers not seeing D.W. getting the necessary discipline. Another example is D.W. consistently playing her "Crazy Bus" CD and annoying almost everyone in the house.

I know Francine has a bad rap, but at least she grew a bit kinder and more thoughtful over the years; Muffy, on the other hand, just became more and more shallow.
10:54 was just so random because you where talking about Arthur's parents. Anyway it was a good time to talk about it just before arthur marathon and the last episode. Also all the characters got soo much character development for the new episodes that came out.
Eventhough Muffy can be bossy at times. I always know deep down she is a good person. I think she looks good in that garden outfit in the episode The Cherry Tree. My favorite episode as a whole is season 11's Dancing Fools. I prefer Muffy than Francine as a child.
Ms. McGrady has 1 really big flaw. She nearly killed all the kids at school when she dumped a bag of quarters into her brownie mix. Thanks to Buster, that didn't happen.

@@Brewart2012 LazyTown maybe, but not Wow Wow Wubbzy or Backyardigans.
@@pbsfundingaddict790 True, since The Backyardigans and Wow Wow Wubbzy have less and no truly evil characters, while Lazytown has more characters and an actual villain
never thought we would see a good to evil for arthur
Oh Yes! I loved this show as a kid and always watched the show after school Between this, Thomas, VeggieTales and most Qubo Shows. This is definitely one of my favorite childhood shows.
Baby Kate:
Hate the cry, love her story arcs.
The show I grew up with for the longest is really ending. Real sad, but I'm so glad I experienced it, along with y'all
I'm sad that the show is ending, but it's for the best because this show has lasted for years and it's usually not a good thing for a show lasting this long (look at Family Guy, The Simpsons, Fairly Oddparents, Thomas)
I always hated how the characters smiled when others are sad
I love watching Arthur! It's been a part of my childhood.
The best part of Arthur for me has to be the endless amounts of characters they introduced and most of all got there own special episode the lore of the show is something no other children’s show can possibly top
I saw the show and movies for years and know the characters very well the excitement of the Elwood city journey.
R.I.P. Arthur. Thank you for a 25 year run & being part of my childhood.
I'm surprised it took this long to get this show on this list
Arthur is my favorite cartoon of all time aside from Ed Edd n Eddy. The show was my childhood and the particular aardvark is one of my personal favorite characters (and I can easily relate to).
I honestly wasn't sure how a good-to-evil list for Arthur was gonna be done
I actually think it could have been a good-to-evil list. My ranking would have gone like this:
The Good:
James MacDonald (Gold Medal)
Ms. Sweetwater (Silver Medal)
Mrs. MacGrady (Bronze Medal)
Thora Read
Emily
Mr. Ratburn
Pal Read
Marina Datillo
Nadine Flumberghast
Kate Read
Buster Baxter
George Lungren
Bubby
Arthur Read
Principal Haney
Oliver Frenski
Fern Walters
Dave
Bitzi Baxter
Bailey
Carl
The Gray Area:
Sue Ellen Armstrong
Ladonna Copson
Alan "Brain" Powers
David and Jane Read
Mr. Marco
Francine Frenski
Prunella Deegan
Mrs. Tibble
Ed and Millicent Crosswire
Binky Barnes
Mrs. Bofini
D.W. Read
Dr. Fugue
Bad To Evil:
Catherine Frenski
Muffy Crosswire
Molly MacDonald
Mrs. Featherfoffer
Tommy and Timmy Tibble
Mr. Pryce-Jones
Rattles and Slink
Nemo (Bronze Medal)
Cora (Silver Medal)
Supreme Dog (Gold Medal)
What do you think?
@@danielshaffer-green5684 wait why is Arthur in the grey area ?
@@dewaynerobvais4030 Because, as mentioned in the video, he's pulled a lot of crappy stunts, such as obsessing over a joke at Sue Ellen's expense, having major anger issues, and breaking promises.
@@danielshaffer-green5684 but all that’s because he’s just a kid, kids can do stuff like that but they mature and grow out of it later on in life
@@dewaynerobvais4030 I know, but by Arthur standards, I think that would be enough to place him in the gray area.
Buster would make a really good friend to have!!
Yay! Thank you for this list. My favorite characters were Fern, Sue Ellen & Buster.
Let's take a Moment of silence for the longest kids cartoon on PBS Kids.
During the early seasons of the show, Francine was the biggest bully of the show. Even Arthur called her out on it in the later seasons saying, "You don't remember being mean?"
I guess one bad Brain moment would be when Arthur trains for a race in his city. I don't remember the episode too much but I just remember Arthur catching up to him and Brain was surprised. He then cheats in the end by using some shoe hack to make him run faster. It's not a bad moment compared to others, but It still triggers me to this day
no wonder kate and pal are in the purest of heart after all they are all heart❤️😍
Arthur is a great main character because he’s flawed and makes mistakes but learns from them.
Can you do a Horrid Henry: good to evil video because I first had the idea because Henry's parents aren't good parents in most episodes
and how Peter is good but also naughty as well
I would love to see that video
That's a great idea. Also, yeah, it's painfully clear that the parents (the mom especially) has some clear favoritism for Peter over Henry. I get that Henry is more mischievous, but jezz....
As someone with a younger sibling who's more favored than me by my parents, I feel for Henry. Even when he's not doing anything wrong, the mom always has to say, "Don't be horrid, Henry!" While referring to the younger sibling as "Perfect Peter".
@@amazing7761 Yeah. I also feel sorry for him because of how that his parents aren't good parents. I remember the one episode
where his mom said that she won't take him to see the Killer Boy Rats because she hates them
I can't help but read the title as "Good to Evil" and be surprised to not see D.W. on the thumbnail lmao
Arthur was such a big part of my childhood. If sad ends, but be happy it happen.
The final episode aired on Feb. 22, 2022. It was very bittersweet to watch as it was also a big part of my childhood.
Arthur is one of my favorite shows. I like how they focus on a bunch of characters and not just one. Please make more Arthur Videos!!!
Childhood right here, used to watch this like crazy when i was a kid
Arthur's anger issues are rooted. Other than George, he is bullied the most out of his friends, his little sister also pushes him ALOT, with mum and dad letting it go. Im not saying David and Jane are not good parents, but Arthur needs a little more support to help with his anger issues and Arthur needs to find a way to tell people how he feels insted of bottleing up his feelings. Francine had an episode on bottling up feelings, but if Arthur didnt end two years ago, they really needed to have an episode addresing Arthurs bottled up feelings and healthy ways to let them out or show them.
There was no doubt in my mind that DW and Muffy would be at the bottom
You gotta like how the Brain wasn't the one to wear glasses.
Timothy goes to school good to evil
In Allen and George one of my favorite author character the main two characters
Total Drama Heroes: Good to Most Good
Least Good: Emma
Middle Good: Sam
Most Good: DJ
Arthur is forever kids show legend!
No, nothing in the world lasts forever
R.I.P Arthur 1996- 2022
Of course Pal is ogod...he is such a good dog, very loyal.
Percival C. McLeach is definitely more evil than Madame Medusa.
Diary of a wimpy kid original trilogy good to evil
Now you're gonna have to do Sesame Street Good To Evil
And the most evil is Rocko.
It probably gonna be a long video.
mr ratburn "I was a real fatty ratty"
also Mr ratburn "I'm going to marry a chocolatier"
Mr ratburn is playing with fire I can only hope deviantart does not realize the fetish potential.
Goodbye Arthur! After watching the end of it all, I came here!
I was expecting Nadine in the Top 3.
Another example is D.W. consistently playing her "Crazy Bus" CD and annoying almost everyone in the house.
i remember watching this at 6am and always enjoying it but jeez buster did well and binky has been my fav for many years
I just finished the last episode of Arthur
Fans can still watch Arthur, Sesame Street, Blue's Clues, The Wiggles and Teletubbies even if they are too old.
You should make a video ranking Arthur characters from dumbest to smartest.

• Mrs. MacGrady (Gold medal of gold)
• Grandma Thora (Silver medal of gold)
• Nigel Ratburn (bronze medal of gold)
• Pal
• Baby Kate
• Sue Ellen
• George
• Buster Baxter
• Ladonna
• Fern Walters
• Alan Powers (The Brain)
• David and Jane Read
• Arthur Read
• Francine Frensky
• Prunella
• Binky Barnes
• Molly
• Muffy Crosswire
• D.W. Read
All Good Things Must COME To An END - & PBS Kids’ Favorite Iconic Aardvark Friend Is Going Out On A HIGH NOTE - Arthur, Season 25!
With the next Good to Most Good, maybe have medals for the opposites of the sins. Like charity, humility, chastity, diligence, etc.
I didn't know you did one about Arthur I love Arthur, I watched it a lot I even liked it as a child and as an adult, my favorite character is DW, I really like Muffy, Francine , Buster, Sue Ellen, Brain, Fern, Pal and Binky also I'm going to miss Arthur when it gets canceled this week.
Arthur is the PBS version of Charlie Brown and the peanuts characters if they showed more of their school life
Since Wordgirl has seen A Huge resurgence in Popularity these past few Weeks why Not Do Wordgirl Characters Good to Most Good and Wordgirl Villains Evil to Most Evil
Also Since you Covered Lincoln's Best and worst Deeds I think it would be cool to See The Loud Sisters Deeds Good to Bad
Nemo and The Tibble Twins should rank lower than DW
I love a lot of the main characters from Arthur because they're very funny, and interesting!
Eventhough Muffy can be bossy at times. I always know deep down she is a good person. I think she looks good in that garden outfit in the episode The Cherry Tree. My favorite episode as a whole is season 11's Dancing Fools. I prefer Muffy than Francine as a child.
5 Ice Age Movies Good to Evil
Most Good: Roshan’s Mother
Neutral: Scrat
Most Evil: Captain Gutt
Yes! I was waiting for this channel to talk about Arthur! ^^
Recommendation for a new good to evil a complete 180 turn Pulp Fiction characters bad to most bad
There is going to be a Arthur episode DW and bud revisit the missing snowball
Ms. McGrady has 1 really big flaw. She nearly killed all the kids at school when she dumped a bag of quarters into her brownie mix. Thanks to Buster, that didn't happen.
This is a brief thought but I think the gold medal of most evil should go to Supreme Dog
ladonna is one of my favorite characters and I wish she was introduced alot sooner in the show,I don't mind that she was introduced in season 16,but since she's my newer favorite characters,it does make me sad she wasn't introduced alot sooner, she would've had alot more adventures, same with bud,I'm curious what adventures he would've had if he was introduced alot sooner to,plus it made me sad when she and bud moved away
The Looney tunes show characters: Good To Evil 🐰🦆🐷
Ghostbusters good to evil
WickedBinge, That was the best video of Arthur characters ever!!!
Arthur is my childhood
Can you do VeggieTales Characters: Good to Most Good and VeggieTales Villains: Evil to Most Evil?
It's been a minute since I've watched Arthur great video
And you also forgot Muffy said Christmas was more important that Hanukkah.
I knew it was only a matter of time before you did a video on this show
